Abstract

 AMF is an Automatic Main Failure is an electrical circuit on the panel that works to turn off or turn on the generator set (generator). The standard principle is that if the PLN power is off then the AMF panel instantly turns on the generator and discharges the power supply. However, there are still many things that need to be developed in the AMF system, such as remote control and AMF monitoring. In this research, applied remote control system and monitoring of condition of generator and PLN which implemented in a prototipe panel which subsequently analyzed the working ability of each sub system. This AMF-based PLC system is combined with arduino nano microcontroller and gsm sield. PLC is used as an AMF system, arduino is used as input and output communication between PLC and GSM. Remote control system is done by SMS that utilizes GSM sield communication, to heat the generator machine and for monitoring, GSM sield will send SMS in the condition of PLN and genset of destination number which have been included in arduino nano program. The results of this study indicate that the system works well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh komposisi perekat terhadap karakteristik termal briket arang pelepah sagu. Tiga komposisi yang diuji adalah briket dengan perbandingan presentase arang pelepah sagu:perekat tepung kanji masing-masing 90:10%, 80:20%, dan 70:30%. Pembuatan briket dilakukan pada tekanan konstan 70 kgf/cm2. Pengujian termal dilakukan menggunakan tungku pembakaran silindris yang dirancang untuk aliran udara secara alami. Setiap komposisi diuji dengan tiga briket. Selama pembakaran, penurunan massa dan peningkatan suhu ruang bakar diamati setiap interval waktu 4 menit menggunakan timbangan digital dan termokopel tipe K. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi dengan perbandingan 90% arang pelepah sagu dan 10% perekat tepung kanji menunjukkan kenaikan suhu pembakaran tertinggi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa proporsi perekat tepung kanji yang lebih rendah dalam briket dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pembakaran

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Sosialisasi dan promosi penerimaan mahasiswa baru merupakan langkah penting dalam menarik minat calon mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan Seleksi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi tahun 2024 kepada siswa dan siswi Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 2 Kendari, Kota Kendari, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode yang digunakan meliputi presentasi, wawancara, distribusi brosur, dan diskusi interaktif dengan siswa dan guru di sekolah-sekolah terkait. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi lengkap mengenai proses seleksi, program studi yang ditawarkan, persyaratan pendaftaran, dan prospek karir lulusan Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi. Mitra sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas 12 yang akan segera lulus dan guru-guru yang terlibat dalam proses bimbingan karir di SMK Negeri 2 Kendari, dengan jumlah peserta mencapai 150 siswa dan 10 guru. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa informasi mengenai seleksi penerimaan dan program studi dapat disampaikan dengan baik. Respon positif dari pihak sekolah dan siswa terlihat dari antusiasme yang tinggi dan banyaknya pertanyaan yang diajukan. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan jumlah pendaftar dan membantu siswa dalam memilih perguruan tinggi yang sesuai dengan minat dan bakat mereka.Kata kunci: sosialisasi dan promosi, penerimaan  mahasiswa baru, SMK, efektivitas program, pendidikan tinggi ABSTRACTThe purpose of this activity is to conduct outreach and promotion related to the 2024 New Student Admission Selection for Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi to students of Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 2 Kendari, Kota Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara Province. The implementation methods used include presentations, interviews, brochure distribution, and interactive discussions with students and teachers at the related schools. The results achieved are the successful dissemination of information regarding the New Student Admission Selection, the study programs offered, registration requirements, and career prospects for graduates of Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi to prospective new students. This outreach activity received positive responses from the schools and students, as evidenced by the enthusiasm and numerous questions raised. The target partners for this activity are 150 twelfth-grade students who will soon graduate and 10 teachers involved in career guidance at SMK Negeri 2 Kendari. The results indicate that the information on the admission selection and study programs was well conveyed. The positive response from the schools and students is demonstrated by the high enthusiasm and many questions asked. This outreach activity is expected to increase the number of applicants and help students choose the right higher education institution according to their interests and talents.Keywords:  socialization and promotion, new student admission, vocational high school, program effectiveness, higher education

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Pendidikan tinggi di Kabupaten Konawe, khususnya di SMA Negeri 1 Sampara, menghadapi tantangan rendahnya angka partisipasi siswa dalam melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Salah satu penyebab utama adalah kurangnya pemahaman tentang pendidikan vokasi dan minimnya pengetahuan mengenai Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi yang terletak di dekat mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan minat siswa kelas 12 SMA Negeri 1 Sampara terhadap pendidikan vokasi, dengan memperkenalkan Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi sebagai pilihan pendidikan tinggi yang berkualitas dan relevan dengan kebutuhan industri. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 130 siswa kelas 12, serta 15 guru dan staf sekolah sebagai mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian. Tahapan kegiatan dimulai dengan persiapan yang mencakup koordinasi dan penyusunan materi. Selanjutnya, pada tahap pelaksanaan, dilakukan sosialisasi berupa presentasi, diskusi terbuka, dan tanya jawab. Tahap terakhir adalah monitoring dan evaluasi untuk mengukur perubahan pengetahuan dan minat siswa. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa tentang pendidikan vokasi, serta 35% siswa menyatakan minat untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi. Diharapkan, sosialisasi ini dapat mendorong lebih banyak siswa memilih pendidikan vokasi dan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di daerah tersebut. Kata kunci: Pendidikan Tinggi; Pendidikan Vokasi; SMA Negeri 1 Sampara; Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi; Kabupaten Konawe. ABSTRACTHigher education in Konawe Regency, particularly at SMA Negeri 1 Sampara, faces the challenge of low student participation in continuing education to higher institutions. One of the main reasons is the lack of understanding about vocational education and limited knowledge about Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi, located nearby. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and interest of 12th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Sampara in vocational education, by introducing Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi as a quality higher education option relevant to industry needs. The activity involved 130 12th-grade students, as well as 15 teachers and staff as partners. The activity consisted of several stages, starting with preparation, including coordination and material development. The next stage was the implementation, which included socialization, presentations, open discussions, and Q&A sessions. The final stage was monitoring and evaluation to assess the impact of the activity. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of vocational education, with 35% expressing interest in continuing education at Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi. It is expected that this socialization will encourage more students to choose vocational education, which will, in turn, improve human resource quality in the region. Keywords: Higher Education; Vocational Education; SMA Negeri 1 Sampara; Politeknik Tridaya Virtu Morosi; Konawe Regency.

Abstract

Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (HESS) have emerged as a promising solution to address reliability and stability challenges in remote mini-grid systems. This study presents a comprehensive literature review on the application of HESS in remote mini-grids, based on recent publications from 2020 to 2024. Through a systematic analysis of 45 scientific articles, this research identifies technological trends, implementation challenges, and future development opportunities for HESS. The findings reveal that the combination of lithium-ion batteries with supercapacitors and flywheels is the most popular configuration, achieving system efficiency improvements of up to 92% and operational cost reductions of 35%. The main challenges identified include the complexity of energy management systems, component sizing optimization, and high initial investment costs.

Abstract

Vocational higher education plays an important role in providing a skilled and work-ready workforce. However, in Kendari City there is still an information gap regarding vocational higher education and career opportunities for graduates. This community service activity aims to introduce vocational higher education and disseminate information on new student admissions in 2024 in high schools in Kendari City. The methods used include presentations, discussions, and brochure distribution. The evaluation of the activity showed an increased understanding of vocational education, as well as an increased interest in pursuing it. The brochures provided were considered informative by the participants. This activity succeeded in increasing high school students' understanding and interest in vocational higher education, as well as providing clear information about the 2024 new student admissions. Results showed a 75% increase in understanding and 60% increase in interest in vocational education. As many as 90% of participants rated the brochure as very informative. It is expected that this activity will have an impact on increasing the number of applicants in vocational study programs and providing a better skilled workforce for industries in Kendari City.
