Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan pasti ada yang disebut dengan fungsi dan tujuan pendidikan, namun banyak dari pengajar belum mengetahui hakikat dari fungsi dan tujuan pendidikan itu sendiri. Penelitian ini ditujukan kepada pengajar dan calon pengajar agar sebelum menentukan metode dan cara ajar, mereka memahami dulu fungsi dan tujuan pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk mengarahkan para pengajar dalam melaksanakan tugas dan kewajiban mereka baik kepada sekolah, orang tua, atau kepada peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, jenis studi kasus. Informasi diperoleh dari data primer melalui teknik pengumpulan wawancara dan observasi, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan indepth interview, observation. Dari penelitian ini hasil yang diperoleh adalah fungsi dan tujuan pendidikan yang sudah disampaikan oleh Mohammad Natsir pada zaman dahulu yaitu: membentuk jasmani dan rohani, menanamkan adab dan akhlak, membentuk manusia yang jujur, membangun hubungan baik kepada Allah SWT dan kepada sesama manusia, merupakan fungsi dan tujuan pendidikan yang masih relevan untuk dijadikan dasar pendidikan hingga saat ini. Bahkan menurut penulis, fungsi dan tujuan pendidikan dari Mohammad Natsir ini harus diterapkan di seluruh instansi pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter pemuda merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam proses pendidikan Islam. Dalam konteks ini, Al-Qur'an sebagai sumber wahyu utama, menawarkan berbagai kisah yang sarat dengan pelajaran moral dan etis. Dalam jurnal ini, kita akan menganalisis kisah Ashabul Kahfi dari perspektif Tafsir Al-Azhar, dengan fokus pada nilai-nilai akhlak yang terkandung di dalamnya. Analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kisah tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman dalam pembentukan karakter pemuda, serta bagaimana penafsiran Buya Hamka dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam konteks ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research yang bersifat deskriptif-analitis dengan pendekatan maudhu’i atau kajian tematik. Surah Al-Kahfi, yang merujuk kepada gua (kahf) tempat para pemuda berlindung, yang menjadi tempat keselamatan dan perlindungan mereka. Surah ini berfokus pada perlindungan dari fitnah (ujian dan godaan), dan ia menjadi pelindung dan keselamatan dari fitnah secara umum, terutama fitnah yang paling besar yang mengancam umat manusia, yang telah diperingatkan oleh Nabi kita dengan sangat tegas, yaitu fitnah Dajjal. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa pemuda-pemuda Ashabul Kahfi memiliki keyakinan yang kuat kepada Allah, sehingga Allah menambahkan petunjuk kepada mereka. Ini menekankan pentingnya iman sebagai dasar yang memperkokoh karakter.

Abstract

Strong character is the moral and spiritual foundation needed for humans to face the challenges of life. The Qur'an as a guide to life contains many verses that describe the ideal human character. One of the contemporary commentaries that examines human strong character in the Qur'an is Tafsir al-Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab. This study aims to analyze how Quraish Shihab interprets the concept of strong character in the Qur'an and its relevance to modern life. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach to the verses related to human strong character. The results showed that according to Quraish Shihab, strong character in the Qur'an includes piety, patience, honesty, and courage in upholding the truth. Quraish Shihab's interpretation provides an understanding that the strength of human character is not only physical, but also includes spiritual and moral aspects that shape a person's personality. Of course, this can foster the spirit in the soul of each individual to worship Allah. This finding reinforces the importance of strong human character as the main capital in building a better individual and society. This study is expected to provide deeper insights into the concept of strong human character in the Qur'an and contribute to the insight of contemporary tafsir by applying Islamic values comprehensively.

Abstract

Islam is a source of values and ethics that provide guidance for its adherents, including in the discourse of trade. This research focuses on analyzing the ethics of trade in the verses of the Qur'an by referring to the interpretation of Wahbah Az-Zuhaili in Tafsir al-Munir. The purpose of this study is to find out how the ethics of trade in the Qur'an, so that Muslims are expected to carry out trade in a way that supports welfare and avoids unethical practices in the world of trade. The research method used is qualitative with the type of literature. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive-analytical with thematic interpretation method. The results show that trade in the Qur'an has two meanings, namely human trade with God and human trade with humans. There are five basic principles in trading with fellow humans, namely the principles of unity, balance, free will, responsibility, truth (virtue and honesty). In az-Zuhaili's interpretation, he relates to the laws of muamalah fiqh where one must have guidelines for behavior in trade affairs in Islam, namely morals and ethics, validity of transactions, justice and equality, prohibition of usury, ownership and management of property, transparency and disclosure, and contracts and agreements. This article contributes in a practical way to the daily life of commerce, especially in relation to trade where Muslims are required to comply with the guidelines set out in the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study explores the concept of women's deception in the stories of Prophet Yusuf and Prophet Sulaiman, based on a thematic interpretation in Tafsir al-Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab. The research focuses on two prominent female figures: Zulaikha and the Queen of Sheba, each representing different forms of deception within their respective contexts. Utilizing a library research method with a tafsir maudhū’i (thematic exegesis) approach, the study aims to examine the verses of the Qur’an in a contextual and comprehensive manner. The findings reveal that Quraish Shihab does not generalize women negatively, but instead interprets their actions based on their social and psychological background. Zulaikha’s behavior is portrayed as personal temptation, while Queen Balqis’s strategy is framed as a form of diplomatic intelligence. Tafsir al-Mishbah presents a fair, humanistic, and contextual interpretation that not only addresses theological aspects but also emphasizes the practical application of Qur’anic values in social life. This study affirms the importance of a balanced and profound approach in understanding women’s roles as depicted in the Qur’an.
