Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of mobile phone use on students' reading interest and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of student reading interest on the use of grade VII students' mobile phones at MTs. Muhammadiyah Wuring. The method used in this study is using a descriptive qualitative approach. The informants in this study were the Principal (represented by Kaur kesiswaan), Homeroom Teacher, and several grade VII students at MTs. Muhammadiyah Wuring school. The results found that the effect of mobile phone use on students' reading interest was high. due to misuse of mobile phones by students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the values in indigenous marriages in the Wodonwair Society, Wolomotong Village and how the application of customary marriage by the Wodonwair community is on review of the socio-cultural aspect. The research uses qualitative research. The data sources used in this study are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data analysis technical used consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The traditional marriage in Wolomotong Village people is recognized by the local community and run from every layer of local people or from generation to generation. In the customary marriage process that exists in the people of Wolomotong Village have the stages that must be carried out by a couple who want to commit indigenous marriage. Each stage in the marriage process has its own value. Traditional marriage is still being run by all communities present in the Wodonwair Village area.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the meaning of the traditional drink (Moke) in terms of the sikka indigenous people and what values ​​are contained in the traditional drink (Moke) for the sikka indigenous people. This study uses a qualitative method that is descriptive. The informants in this study were the customary leaders of the Wairterang village, community leaders in the Wairterang village and the Wairterang village community. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display and data verification. The results showed that moke has a meaning as a symbol of respect for ancestors, a symbol of brotherhood and cultural heritage. It has harmony values ​​and economic values ​​in the context of the custom of the Wairterang village community.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the main factors causing children in Perumaan Village, East Alok District to drop out of school, as well as the efforts made to overcome this problem. A descriptive qualitative method was used. This research was conducted in Parumaan Village, East Alok District, from February 12 to February 28, 2025, because there are still children who drop out of school in Parumaan Village. The data sources in this study are primary and secondary data sources. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. After collection, the data was analyzed following these steps: Data Collection, Data Reduction, Data Presentation, Conclusion Drawing, and Verification.The results of the study show that the main causes of children dropping out of school can be divided into two factors, namely internal and external. Internal factors include lack of parental attention, economic conditions, and low interest in learning among children. Meanwhile, external factors include an unsupportive social environment, the influence of promiscuity, and low levels of parental education. These findings show that children tend to lose their educational direction when support from their families and surrounding environment is minimal. To address this issue, several efforts have been made, such as raising awareness about the importance of education by the village government, providing economic assistance such as scholarships and KIP (Indonesian Smart Card), and involving the community through mutual cooperation and mentoring. This study recommends strengthening collaboration between families, schools, the government, and the community to create a conducive and sustainable educational environment.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain more in-depth information regarding the Government's efforts to increase community participation in development in Aibura Village, Waigete District, Sikka Regency. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. This research was conducted in Aibura Village, Waigete District, Sikka Regency. This study used qualitative research methods. The data sources taken are primary data and secondary data. The subjects of this research were the Head of Aibura Village, Village Government Officials and the Community. The techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that community participation in development in Aibura Village can be said to be quite good, it can be seen from the efforts made by the Government in developing the community, by carrying out development activities involving the community, carrying out Musrembang activities involving the community.

Abstract

. This study aims to determine social phenomena and how the views of customary law on early adolescents who are pregnant out of wedlock in Legu Woda Village, Magepanda District, Sikka Regency. This type of research is qualitative. To collect data, research uses interview techniques, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on this research, it can be concluded that teenage pregnancies out of wedlock are caused by factors that influence them, including technological, educational and social factors of children in the environment where they are. Lack of knowledge and understanding often makes children unable to choose for a good or bad life in the future. with social conditions that are often judged by the community, so that if a teenage child becomes pregnant out of wedlock, they will be ostracized and become the talk of the community. So that in social life, of course, there are rules regarding the norms of life that apply, one of which is customary law. Customary law and society cannot be separated because it is a reciprocal relationship. The views of customary law or traditional leaders Legu Woda (lio) on teenage pregnancies out of wedlock if the teenage child is found to be pregnant, the first thing to do is to find out who the father of the child is and if it is known, then the woman's family is asked to be responsible for male family. This is so that action can be taken immediately in accordance with applicable customs.
