Abstract

Menulis karya ilmiah merupakan suatu hal yang wajib dimiliki oleh seorang mahasiswa. Salah satu syarat untuk memperoleh gelar magister adalah mahasiswa menulis karya ilmiah teoretis dan artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan di kampus atau di jurnal eksternal. Faktor penyebab ketidakmampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis makalah akademik adalah kurangnya pengalaman dalam menulis makalah akademik serta kurang percaya diri dalam menulis opini. Kurangnya pengetahuan mahasiswa dalam menulis makalah akademik disebut dengan kurangnya pengetahuan dan kurangnya pengetahuan. dalam menulis esai yang efektif dan penulisan yang efisien. Oleh karena itu diadakan pembelajaran penulisan ilmiah bagi mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Islam Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, agar pengetahuan mahasiswa dalam menulis ilmiah bertambah baik dari segi gagasan, langkah-langkah, pengumpulan data dan penjelasan, serta penulisan artikel ilmiah.

Abstract

Natural disasters such as floods can cause many losses to humans, such as material losses, trauma for the victims, and loss of life. Floods that occur can be caused by various factors such as human activity itself which results in changes in natural spatial planning, so the arrival of floods is also difficult to detect with certainty. Based on this, it is necessary to develop a technological innovation that helps provide a warning of the arrival of a natural disaster. The ESP32 microcontroller is one of the technologies that can be used to create an early warning system for the arrival of floods. The design and manufacture of this technology certainly involves modeling, algorithm planning, assembly of the components of the tools used, including wiring and mechanics as needed. This tool uses an internet of things (IoT) system with the help of an ESP32 microcontroller that supports integration via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so that it can be connected to a smartphone device as a notification receiver in real time and accurately by notifying the water level which will be an indicator of potential flooding, so that people are more alert in the face of flooding to prevent and minimize the losses that will be experienced.

Abstract

The decreasing availability of fossil fuels and their contribution to environmental degradation and emissions of harmful gases has encouraged a shift to renewable energy sources. This change aims to produce electricity without using fossil fuels. Banyak Islands, a new tourist destination in Aceh Singkil, Indonesia, is experiencing an increase in visitors, increasing electricity demand currently supplied by diesel power plants. Therefore, this research aims to examine the possibilities of wind and solar power plants and assess their energy output. The four factors used to determine the potential of renewable energy are technology, economics, environment, and social politics, with 13 sub-criteria. Analytical hierarchy process techniques prioritize potential alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power facilities. Research findings show that environmental criteria have a higher value (0.3455) than financial criteria (0.2861), next is technological criteria (0.1734), then socio-political criteria (0.1603). Based on the results of the requirements and sub-requirements, wind power generation is the most effective and efficient alternative energy used in the Banyak Islands region (0.549), followed by solar power generation (0.451). This data shows that the area is prone to medium to high wind speeds, specifically in geographic locations facing the Indian Ocean which is located offshore.

Abstract

This community engagement initiative focuses on improving disaster resilience in seven villages (gampong) around Universitas Malikussaleh through capacity building and simulated disaster response exercises, contributing to the establishment of Gampong Tangguh Bencana (GAMTANA), or Disaster Resilient Villages. This community empowerment program aims to foster self-reliance in disaster preparedness and response within the community, operating under a voluntary task force model. After initial coordination with village leaders (Keuchik), a training and simulation program was implemented, in accordance with roles and responsibilities that have been defined in GAMTANA's organizational structure. The results demonstrated the effectiveness of this program as demonstrated by the active participation and successful execution of assigned tasks by all participants, reflecting their understanding of their respective functions within the disaster response framework. In conclusion, this initiative successfully equipped community members with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their roles within the GAMTANA task force, thereby strengthening local disaster resilience and promoting community-based disaster management.

Abstract

Saat ini pengembangan sumber energi terbarukan untuk pembangkit listrik sangat menonjol. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengatasi berkurangnya ketersediaan sumber energi fosil. Selain itu, pembakaran sumber energi fosil berdampak pada pencemaran lingkungan dan produksi emisi gas. Berdasarkan ketersediaan sumber energi dan dampak lingkungan yang kecil, PLTB (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu) dan PLTS (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya) memiliki potensi energi yang besar untuk dieksplorasi. Kepulauan yang ada di Aceh telah dikembangkan sebagai destinasi pariwisata yang berpotensi besar mendatangkan devisa daerah. Peningkatan jumlah penduduk di daerah yang ada di Aceh tentu akan berdampak kepada peningkatan kebutuhan akan energi listrik. Sedangkan konsumsi listrik di suatu wilayah tersebut hanya dipasok dengan menggunakan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Diesel (PLTD). Untuk menjaga kelestarian daerah tersebut terhadap dampak lingkungan akibat penggunaan listrik berbasis fosil, perlu dikembangkan alternatif energi terbarukan. Pengabdian ini akan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang potensi dan manfaat energi terbarukan berbasis PLTB dan PLTS di daerah yang pasokan listriknya hanya dari PLTD yang ada di Aceh. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode pembelajaran dan pelatihan sebagai media untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang potensi dan manfaat serta pengembangan dan pemanfaatan PLTB dan PLTS yang optimal. Hasil dari kegiatan ini didapatkan tingkat pemahaman peserta yang awalnya hanya ada 50,6 menjadi 89,4 diberikan edukasi tentang pemanfaatan energi terbarukan sebagai sumber daya listrik.
