Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics before and after using the trade a problem type cooperative learning model. This type of research is Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results showed that before being treated the average score of the pretest interest in learning was in the sufficient category while the pretest learning outcomes were in the very low category, and after being given treatment the average score of the posttest interest in learning was in the very high category while the posttest learning outcomes were in the high category. Students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics after being taught using the trade a problem type cooperative learning model were higher than students' interest and mathematics learning outcomes before being taught using the trade a problem type cooperative learning model. Keywords: trade a problem learning model, interest in learning, mathematics learning outcomes Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui minat dan hasil belajar matematika siswa sebelum dan setelah digunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe trade a problem. Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran trade a problem, minat belajar, hasil belajar matematika

Abstract

The massive development of the animation world since the 2000s shows that local animation has not been able to compete with the existence of foreign animation. The development of information technology encourages the birth of promotional media that are increasingly attractive, creative, and innovative, such as promotional media in the form of animation. This research was conducted by designing an animated promotional video for hotels and resorts. In making animated promotional videos for Rudang Hotels and Resorts using the Adobe Animate application, researchers used UML (Unified Modeling Language), namely use case diagrams and activity diagrams. In designing animation there are 3 stages that must be done, namely the Pre-Production Stage, Production Stage and Post-Production Stage. Animated advertisements about Rudang Hotels and Resorts using Adobe Animate software and made into 2-dimensional animation. The design of promotional advertisements about Rudang Hotels and Resorts consists of text, studio, animation, and sound designs to invite the public to know more about Hotels and Resorts. With this promotional advertisement, it is hoped that hotels and resorts will benefit by attracting public attention. As a recommendation, for readers, I hope this thesis can be a reference for the design of promotional advertisements. This thesis includes the design and analysis of systems for making promotional advertisements. Rudang Hotels and Resorts can take advantage of this promotional advertisement as well as possible.

Abstract

Student disengagement and low intrinsic motivation remain persistent issues in educational contexts, often due to rigid curriculum structures that overlook learners' psychological needs. This study aims to analyze the operational curriculum needs of primary school teachers in fostering student autonomy, motivation, and engagement, using Self-Determination Theory (SDT) as the theoretical foundation. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study involved 12 private primary school teachers in Makassar, Indonesia. Data were collected through semi-structured, in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically to explore strategies and perceptions related to SDT-based curriculum implementation. The results revealed three key themes: recognizing individual student characteristics, offering meaningful choices in learning activities to support autonomy, and maintaining strong communication with parents to create a collaborative and emotionally supportive learning environment. These strategies were reported to significantly enhance student participation, classroom inclusivity, and a sense of belonging. The study concludes that integrating SDT principles into operational curriculum planning not only increases student engagement but also contributes to the development of a more holistic and humanistic learning atmosphere. This research contributes to the field of motivation-oriented curriculum design and offers practical implications for educators and school leaders in developing student-centered instructional practices. Further studies using quantitative or mixed methods are recommended to validate and expand these findings across broader educational contexts and grade levels.
