Abstract

This research explores the Baduy community in Kanekes, a traditional Sundanese community in the Kendeng Mountains region of South Banten. The Baduy community possesses distinct cultures, traditions, and social systems from the majority in their vicinity, adhering to inherited rules and norms. The study aims to investigate the Baduy community's understanding of conflicts and how they resolve conflicts based on their customary rules. The research methodology employed is qualitative descriptive, collecting data through questionnaires and structured interviews from 10 respondents within the outer Baduy community. The results show that the Baduy community possesses a sound understanding of conflicts, views conflicts as part of life, and tends to resolve them peacefully based on cultural values and customary norms. The conflicts that arise encompass romantic conflicts, psychological conflicts, conflicts with modern culture, and conflicts related to natural resources. The effectiveness of traditional conflict resolution is evident in the Baduy community's ability to maintain peace, utilize customary values as guidelines, and leverage the crucial role of traditional leaders in mediating and resolving conflicts. The Baduy community remains steadfast in their adherence to customary values in facing challenges of social change and the environment to preserve their unique culture and traditions. In-depth understanding of conflicts and the resolution methods used by the Baduy community provides valuable insights to support cultural preservation and effective conflict resolution within this community.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the STAD type learning model, discussion and learning interest on social studies learning outcomes in elementary school. This type of research is an experimental study comparing student learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. This study took place at SDN Kedoya Utara 01 Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. The population in this study were all fifth grade students at SDN Kedoya Utara 01 with 64 students. The sample in this study is not students as individuals but classes. The level sample was determined by purposive sampling for fifth grade students. The data were obtained through instrument and documentation questions. The data analysis techniques are r test analysis and t test. Based on the analysis, conclusions are obtained. There is a significant effect on the STAD type cooperative learning model, discussion and interest in learning together have an effect on learning outcomes for social studies subjects with Fcount = 23,444% Sig = 0.0000 <0.05. Then there is a significant effect on the STAD type of cooperative learning model that affects the learning outcomes of social studies subjects with t = 5.961% and Sig = 0.0000 <0.05. Furthermore, there is an insignificant effect on the perception of the Discussion-type cooperative learning model and interest in learning together to influence the learning outcomes of social studies subjects with Fcount = 3.444% Sig = 0.0000 <0.05. 4. So that it can be concluded that there is a simultaneous influence between the STAD cooperative learning model, discussion with learning interest on social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa mata pelajaran IPS di SD perlu dicarikan suatu solusi agar pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dapat memberikan hasil optimal. Salah satu solusinya adalah dengan menerapkan suatu media pembelajaran yang dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman bagi siswa. Media pembelajaran sebagai wahana untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar, sebagai alat komunikasi guna mengefektifkan proses belajar mengajar, salah satu media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dalam pembelajaran adalah media pembelajaran bermain King Ludo. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu dengan pendekatan kolaboratif antara pengusul dengan mitra. Pendekatan ini perlu dilakukan agar pelaksanakan kegiatan berjalan sesuai dengan rencana dan tidak ada halangan yang bersifat teknis. Reid (2004) mengemukakan bahwa collaborative learning memiliki lima tahapan, yaitu: 1) Engagement. 2) Exploration. 3) Transformation. 4) Presentation. 5) Reflection. Pembahasan King Ludo adalah model yang menggunakan papan catur dimainkan oleh 4 orang siswa, semua siswa bermain games memainkan bidak-bidak dari start sampai finish. King ludo ini adalah suatu games yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran IPS SD. Media King Ludo terdiri dari papan catur, bidak, dadu, gelas, dan kotak soal. Hasil Penilaian Ketercapaian Program dari jumlah peserta 30 orang menyatakan bahwa 100% memiliki kebermanfaatan yang sangat signifikan dalam rangka untuk menambah pengetahuan para guru yang berada di Kota Tangerang Selatan. Sedang kepuasan mitra terhadap pelaksanaan PkM dosen ini menyatakan 97.2% menyatakan sangat puas hal ini ditandai dengan para peserta antusias mengikuti pelatihan ini sampai waktu yang ditentukan berakhir.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a learning model grounded in contextual problems aligned with students' needs and characteristics. This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning assisted by Quizizz on the mathematical critical thinking skills and learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students in Gugus Dahlia, West Jakarta. The research employs a quantitative method with survey techniques. The population consists of fourth-grade students from State Elementary Schools in Gugus Dahlia, Palmerah District, West Jakarta Administrative City, totaling 302 students. Using Purposive Sampling techniques, 172 sample respondents were selected. The research instruments include a questionnaire for the Problem Based Learning variable assisted by Quizizz (X), learning outcomes tests via Quizizz for the Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability variable (Y1), and a questionnaire for the Learning Motivation variable (Y2). Data analysis was conducted using SPSS, including prerequisite tests such as normality, homogeneity, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, error normality, and linearity tests. Hypothesis tests comprised correlation analysis, regression analysis, and the coefficient of determination. The heteroscedasticity test value exceeded 0.05 with a significant value of 0.379, indicating that problem-based learning with Quizizz can enhance students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. The Spearman's rho correlation test yielded a significant value of 0.75, surpassing the 0.05 threshold, suggesting that the regression model for variable X against Y2 is not affected by heteroscedasticity. Therefore, this research concludes that problem-based learning assisted by Quizizz significantly influences and maintains linearity in student learning motivation. The implication is that teachers should create appropriate learning environments to provide liberating education by selecting suitable learning models, methods, and media tailored to students' needs and abilities.
