Abstract

Active learning plays a vital role in learning because it can affect student learning outcomes. However, teachers still use conventional learning methods or teacher-centered learning. This study aimed to analyze the increase in student activity, student response, and student learning outcomes using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning method. This type of research is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was 35 students. Data collection methods used observation, tests, and questionnaires with instruments including student activity observation sheets, pre-test, and post-test questions, and student response questionnaire sheets. Data were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive method. Based on the research results, the results of student learning activities showed a percentage of 78% at meeting 1 increased to 84.64% at meeting 2. The TPS learning method received very good responses from students. A percentage of 81.56% indicated this. Student learning outcomes in the pre-test by 31% increased to 100% in the post-test results. Applying the TPS learning method could increase student activity, response, and learning outcomes in vocational fashion subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of Google Workspace for Education in school administration and to formulate effective strategies for optimizing administrative processes at a State Junior High School in Yogyakarta. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, document analysis, and questionnaires. The study investigated how Google Workspace tools are integrated into administrative tasks and identified internal and external factors influencing its adoption using a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis. Findings reveal that Google Workspace for Education is effectively utilized in managing curriculum and student administration, particularly through online collaboration facilitated by Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Google Forms, and Google Sites. The school has established a development team and conducts regular evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of administrative functions. Based on SWOT analysis, the study recommends a progressive strategy that leverages the school's internal strengths to capitalize on external opportunities, thereby enhancing administrative efficiency. This strategic approach underscores the role of digital tools in promoting innovation and improving school governance.

Abstract

The utilization of classroom facilities and infrastructure is a fundamental element in creating a conducive learning environment, especially at the secondary education level. However, in many semi-urban public schools in Indonesia, the optimization of learning facilities remains unfulfilled due to limitations in distribution, management, and maintenance. This study aims to explore how classroom facilities are used to support the learning process at public junior high schools in Sragen Regency and to identify adaptive practices that emerge in response to these limitations. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data collection techniques included direct observation, semi-structured interviews with subject teachers, homeroom teachers, the head of facilities and infrastructure, and students, as well as documentation through photographs, field notes, and school records. Data were analyzed using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that blackboards were consistently used in all teaching sessions (100%), while projectors were used in 80% of sessions but were frequently affected by technical disruptions. The classroom layout was generally flexible, although some desks and chairs were damaged. Ventilation and lighting in several classrooms did not meet optimal standards. Teachers’ ad-hoc innovations and limited community involvement in facility maintenance were also identified. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening facility governance, teacher training, and collaboration with communities and external partners to build an inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable learning environment.
