Abstract

Separation of titanium dioxide (TiO2) from ilmenite Bangka has been done byleaching processusing HCl. Before the leaching process, ilmenite was roastedat 900oC for pre-oxidation (preliminary - oxidation). Leaching process carried out by variation of HCl concentration and Fe0reducing agents. While the re-deposition of dissolved Ti4 +ionachieved by hydrolysis - condensation using 2- propanol - H2O solvents.Leaching the pre-oxidazed ilmenite shows the phase change of  pseudobrokite (Fe2TiO5 ) into hematite ( Fe2O3) and synthetic rutile ( TiO2 ). Formation of the synthetic rutile was characterized by the loss of intensity of Fe2TiO5 at 26.65 º and the increasing intensity of rutile TiO2 at 27.49 º.The dissolution rate of both titanium and iron wasfound to be increased, generally, by increasing acid concentration in case of HCl as well as by increasing ilmenite:Fe0 ratio. Precipitation ofthe dissolved titania with 2-propanol -H2Oof 8:2(v /v) produced anataseTiO2 due to the hydrolysis and condensation of Ti-tetraisopropoxide complexes.

Abstract

Research on the preparation and characterization of sulfonated polystyrene (PST) /chitosan vanillin (KV) composite as electrolyte membranes has been conducted in order to investigate the effect of PST and KV composition  to its chemical and physical properties. Polystyrene was modified by sulfonation reaction to produces PST, meanwhile chitosan was modified by schift base reaction to produces KV. The composite membranes were prepared by casting method and were characterized in order to identify the functional groups contained in the composite, the cation exchange capacity (CEC), the Swelling Degree (SD), the thermal properties and the morphology. The peak of imine vibration in the FTIR spectrum indicates that the chitosan vanilin was succesfully synthesized. Meanwhile, the peak of sulfonate vibration indicates the product of sulfonation on polystyrene. The result of CEC analysis shows that the addition of sulfonate groups on polystyrene and the addition of phenolic groups on chitosan increase the CEC value. The increasing of PST and KV concentration in membrane enhance the CEC value. However, the increasing of PST concentration in membrane composition even decrease the Swelling Degree of membranes. Meanwhile, the increasing of KV concentration increase the swelling degree of membranes. Thermal analysis shows that the thermal decomposition of membranes occurs in three stages i.e. the dehydration of water molecules, the degradation of the subtituen groups and the plasticizer and the degradation of the back bone of chitosan and polystyrene.

Abstract

The aims of the research are to prove that at certain conditions the reaction between Br2 with CH3COOH is similar to enzymatic reaction, and the value of   calculated from the Espenson equation is different with value calculated by integral method. The experiments were performed at various concentrations of CH3COOH. The reaction studied by spectroscopic method by record the changes in absorbance of Br2 at 400 nm (theabsorbance index is 160 M-1 cm-1) in each definited time range. Data were analyzed with integral equations and the reaction order was determined base on the value of regression coefficient which must be close to 1 or -1. The reaction is said to be similar to the enzymatic reaction if the order of the reaction at initial is different with the order value at the end of reaction. Data were also analyzed using Espenson and integral equation (for comparison). The results showed that at concentrations of CH3COOH 0.00150 M, 0.00100 M, and 0.00075 M and 0.00300 M Br2 the reaction is similar to enzymatic reactions. Meanwhile, at different concentrations of CH3COOH,  the κ value obtained from Espenson equation is different with the value calculated by integral method.

Abstract

Research of Pb ions adsorption with chicken feathers adsorbent has been conducted. This research aims to determine adsorption properties of activated chicken feathers and the chicken feathers that were not activated by Na2S for Pb ions. The adsorption process was conducted by batch method with variation of the concentration, pH, and contact time. Pb content in solution is characterized by AAS spectroscopy (Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy). The results show that the contact time and pH condition for adsorption equilibrium are 60 min for activated chicken feathers and 90 min for chicken feathers which were not activated by Na2S at pH 8. Pb absorption by chicken feathers followsFreundlich isotherm and the reaction kinetics follow the Ho equation.

Abstract

Pembinaan anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum dibedakan dengan pembinaan terhadap warga binaan pemasyarakatan dewasa karena anak tidak sama dengan orang dewasa. Oleh karena itu, Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) harus memisahkan ruangan antara anak-anak sesuai klasifikasi umur agar mereka tidak menjadi korban bullying, pelecehan, atau kekerasan lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep usia di LPKA di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah yuridis empiris dengan pendekatan yuridis sosiologis, yang mengidentifikasi dan mengkonsepsikan hukum sebagai institusi sosial yang nyata dan fungsional dalam sistem kehidupan hukum. Selain itu, pendekatan perbandingan (comparative approach) digunakan untuk membandingkan peraturan perundang-undangan di Indonesia dengan peraturan di negara lain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep usia anak yang menjadi kebijakan di LPKA di Indonesia didasarkan pada beberapa peraturan, termasuk Undang-Undang No. 4 Tahun 1979 tentang Kesejahteraan Anak pasal 1 ayat 2, Undang-Undang No. 35 Tahun 2014 (perubahan atas UU No. 23 Tahun 2002) tentang Perlindungan Anak pasal 1 ayat 1, Konvensi tentang Hak-hak Anak pasal 1, dan Undang-Undang No. 11 Tahun 2012 tentang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak.

Abstract

Ecorilife.id merupakan salah satu UMKM yang bergerak pada bidang produksi ecoprint. Akan tetapi, terdapat permasalahan prioritas dari mitra, yaitu kualitas warna pada produksi kain ecoprint yang tidak stabil, meliputi pewarnaan dasar gelap dan terang, pengaruh teknis pewarnaan, dan penggunaan bahan-bahan pewarna alam. Solusi yang diharapkan mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dilakukan melalui pendampingan proses produksi ecoprint pada Ecorilife.id. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan dengan melakukan optimasi pada tahap pewarnaan dan mordanting menggunaan tawas (Al2(SO4)3), natrium asetat (Na-acetat), atau soda abu (Na2CO3) supaya produk ecoprint memiliki warna yang tidak mudah luntur serta bercampur secara sempurna dengan kain. Pewarna dasar kain dioptimasi dengan pewarna alam tingi dan jolawe. Tahapan pewarnaan ecoprint dilakukan dengan teknik steaming setelah tahap mordanting yang kemudian dikeringkan. Tahap pewarnaan dan pembentukan motif dilakukan dengan menggunakan motif yang muncul dari daun jati, daun akalipa, daun kalpataru, dan bunga cosmos. Fiksasi dilakukan dengan kapur untuk menghasilkan warna-warna ecoprint yang jelas. Hasil menunjukkan terciptanya produk ecoprint dengan kualitas warna tinggi yang dapat diamati melalui hasil pewarnaan yang terlihat detail, tidak berbaur, dan tidak luntur.

Abstract

Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) merupakan metode pemeliharaan prediktif yang mengandalkan pemantauan parameter operasional untuk mendeteksi dini potensi kerusakan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan model CBM multi-parameter untuk memantau kondisi pompa sentrifugal pada sistem distribusi air bersih. Parameter yang diamati mencakup getaran, suhu, dan tekanan, yang dikumpulkan secara berkala dari empat unit pompa. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan vibration meter, infrared thermometer, dan manometer. Data dianalisis untuk mendeteksi tren degradasi dan anomali operasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu dan tekanan pada beberapa pompa mengalami fluktuasi, sedangkan nilai getaran tetap berada dalam ambang batas aman. Pompa dengan suhu dan tekanan tidak stabil berpotensi mengalami degradasi performa yang lebih cepat. Penerapan CBM memungkinkan deteksi dini terhadap potensi kegagalan, sehingga dapat mengurangi risiko downtime dan meningkatkan efisiensi pemeliharaan. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya pemantauan berbasis kondisi dalam menjaga keandalan sistem distribusi air bersih, terutama di lingkungan pendidikan yang memiliki keterbatasan anggaran pemeliharaan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pemantauan jangka panjang serta analisis lebih lanjut terhadap hubungan antara performa pompa dan konsumsi energi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis: (1) Kepemimpinan (2) Pemberdayaan; (3) Kinerja; serta (4) Pengaruh Kepemimpinan dan Pemberdayaan terhadap kinerja Pegawai Rumah Sakit Kesehatan Kerja Provinsi Jawa Barat, baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey deskriptif dan survey eksplanatori, unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah para Pegawai Rumah Sakit Kesehatan Kerja Provinsi Jawa Barat dengan sampel sebanyak 33 orang. Tipe investigasinya adalah causalitas, serta time horizon dalam penelitian ini adalah cross- sectional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa Kepemimpinan menurut Pegawai Rumah Sakit Kesehatan Kerja Provinsi Jawa Barat, ternyata sebagian besar Pegawai memberikan tanggapan cukup baik, Pemberdayaan pada Pegawai Rumah Sakit Kesehatan Kerja Provinsi Jawa Barat pada umumnya dapat dikatakan kurang baik, Kinerja Pegawai Rumah Sakit Kesehatan Kerja Provinsi Jawa Barat saat ini dinilai baik. Kepemimpinan dan Pemberdayaan secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja Pegawai Rumah Sakit Kesehatan Kerja Provinsi Jawa Barat. Namun secara parsial Kepemimpinan dominan mempengaruhi kinerja daripada Pemberdayaan Karena Pemberdayaan lebih dominan mempengaruhi kinerja, menjadi prioritas pertama dalam meningkatkan kinerja. maka Pegawai Rumah Sakit Kesehatan Kerja Provinsi Jawa Barat disarankan untuk untuk tetap konsisten mengikuti pemberdayaan yang disleenggarakan, sehingga mereka mampu bekerja lebih profesional.

Abstract

The conventional agricultural system that is applied tends to use chemicals such as pesticides, on the one hand, providing various positive impacts, including increasing productivity quickly, meeting food needs efficiently, and helping food insecurity as often occurs in India. Sustainable agricultural systems are aimed at reducing environmental damage, maintaining agricultural productivity, increasing farmers' income and improving the stability and quality of life of rural communities. Three big indicators that can be seen are that the environment is sustainable, the economy is improving (prosperous), and it is socially accepted by the farming community. Other negative impacts on conventional agricultural systems include decreasing soil quality, giving rise to new pests and diseases, environmentally friendly microorganisms becoming extinct, toxic chemicals threatening the condition of the biosphere in the food chain. The concept of organic farming that is applied ideally is based on optimal, balanced, efficient management of land, water and land, so that existing biodiversity is one of the external efforts to provide a positive impact. In writing this literature review, the sections that will be discussed include the application of conventional agricultural systems that occur in India, suggestions and improvements that can be implemented based on potential such as modeling greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, GHG (Greenhouse Gas) mitigation from agriculture, absorption of element C in agricultural soil, conservation agriculture, reducing nitrous oxide emissions, economic implications of greenhouse gas mitigation, and the use of butterfly pea flower kombucha in agricultural aspects

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition where children's growth fails (body and brain growth) due to malnutrition for a long time. The incidence of stunting in toddlers needs special attention because it can hinder children's physical and mental development. This study aims to analyze and estimate the effect of protected wells and the measles vaccine on the incidence of stunting in children under five, with a meta-analysis based on primary studies conducted previously.Subjects and Method: Meta-analysis was carried out in PICO format. Population: Children under five. Intervention: Protected Wells and Measles vaccine status. Comparison: Unprotected Well and Status not vaccinated against measles. Outcome: Stunting incidence. Article searches were carried out using several databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, and Springerlink. The keywords used are "Protected well" AND Measles vaccine" AND "Stunting in toddlers". Inclusion criteria for the included articles were full-text articles with a cross-sectional design from 2015 to 2023. This study was conducted following PRISMA flow diagram guidelines. Data was analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3 application.Results: 12 cross-sectional studies from Asia and Africa were selected for meta-analysis. the total sample was 48,128 toddlers. Protected well (aOR= 0.86; 95% CI= 0.75 to 1.00; p= 0.040) and measles vaccine (aOR= 0.59; 95% CI= 0.27 to 1.29; p= 0.190) reduce the risk of stunting in children under five.Conclusion: Protected wells and administering the measles vaccine reduce the incidence of stunting in toddlers.
