Abstract

With the increase in fuel prices impacting the fare rates of Total Persada Nusantara (TPN) travel service on the Dharmasraya-Padang route, the fare has risen from IDR 100,000 to IDR 120,000. This change has led to a decrease in public interest in using this transportation service in Dharmasraya Regency. Therefore, an evaluation of the travel fare for this route is necessary to determine whether the TPN fare is appropriate or if a reduction is needed. This evaluation will be based on the fare derived from the calculation of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), as well as using the Ability To Pay (ATP) and Willingness To Pay (WTP) methods to assess the extent of users' ability and willingness to pay for the travel fare. The results of the calculations show that the fare derived from the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) is IDR 91,472, the average fare based on Ability To Pay (ATP) is IDR 1,598,985, and the average fare based on Willingness To Pay (WTP) is IDR 115,660.

Abstract

National energy needs and efforts to fulfill them are currently vital issues to be discussed and resolved. One type of energy that still has various problems is fuel gas, especially LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas). The gas scarcity in each region differs; not all regions experience gas shortages, and some areas have excess LPG gas stocks. The problem of the scarcity of 3 kilogram (Kg) LPG gas is not the first time this has happened. In recent months, people in some regions have complained about the scarcity of subsidized 3-kilogram (kg) LPG gas. This situation certainly makes it difficult for the community. Not only does the scarcity hamper community activities, but it also makes the price of gas refills more expensive than usual. With the increasing demand for LPG gas every year, the government must provide large stocks of LPG gas. But what power if the LPG gas stock is less or runs out at specific locations. Therefore, applying gas base route search is needed to overcome the shortage of gas stock at a location. This application applies two search methods, namely the Dijkstra algorithm and the ant colony algorithm, to find the fastest route to the location of the gas base in the XYZ area. In the algorithm process, Dijkstra requires distance data for each city before starting the algorithm process. The Ant Colony Algorithm does not require the distance of each city because, in an Ant Colony, the distance between towns is calculated after the ants complete their journey. From the results of the process of the two algorithms, it is known that the path produced by Dijkstra's algorithm is more consistent and precise than the Ant Colony algorithm, which gives results that are not necessarily the same for each process.

Given this, it is essential to explore the relationship between PMS and employee outcomes to understand how it contributes to overall organizational success. Aims : The aim of this study is to explore the impact of performance management systems on employee productivity and job satisfaction. This research seeks to identify how key components of PMS, such as goal-setting, feedback, performance appraisals, and rewards, influence these outcomes. By understanding the relationship between PMS and employee performance, the study aims to provide insights that will help organizations optimize their management practices to foster a more motivated, productive, and satisfied workforce. Research Method : This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. The use of both methods ensures a comprehensive understanding of the research problem by gathering numerical data for generalizability and qualitative data for deeper insights. Results and Conclusion : The results show a clear relationship between well-structured PMS and increased employee productivity and job satisfaction. Goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance appraisals emerged as the most significant contributors to higher productivity and greater job satisfaction. Employees who had clear, measurable goals reported better focus and higher output, while those who received regular, constructive feedback showed higher levels of engagement and satisfaction. Moreover, employees who perceived performance appraisals as fair and transparent were more motivated and felt more valued in their roles. Contribution : This study contributes to the existing literature on PMS by providing empirical evidence of the relationship between PMS components and employee outcomes in various industries. It also offers practical recommendations for organizations looking to optimize their PMS to foster a more motivated and productive workforce. Furthermore, the research highlights the importance of fairness, transparency, and employee development in the design of PMS, offering insights that can inform HR practices globally.
