Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of educational promotion content management in one of the education faculties at a private university in Yogyakarta. The research problem focuses on understanding how the social media content management process is carried out by the Instagram account management team of the education faculty of a private university in Yogyakata. This research uses qualitative research which is described descriptively with a case study approach. The results of this study are that in managing new student admission content on Instagram at the education faculty of a private university in Yogyakarta, there are 4 steps taken, namely: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The planning process is carried out through setting goals for using Instagram and creating/taking over accounts. The next process is organizing which is carried out by filling in positions consisting of coordinators, admins, graphic designers, editors, talents, and streaming operators. In the next process, namely mobilizing each position to carry out their duties properly, then the leadership provides enthusiasm or input so that they always work diligently according to the target. The final step is that supervision is carried out through reviews, weekly meetings, and the use of performance statistical analysis tools both on Instagram and through other pages, for example socialblade.

Abstract

The digitalization of education has brought about significant changes in the roles and responsibilities of teachers. These changes provide new challenges and opportunities for teachers to integrate technology to support their professional work. The digitalization of education requires teachers to use digital technology in all their work, thus changing many teachers' habits and workloads to support their professional work. Therefore, this study aims to uncover teachers' habits and workload in the digitalization of education. This study employed a literature study type of research by identifying topics based on previous research relevant to the objectives. The results of this study reveal that the digitalization of education can provide changes in the habits and workloads of teachers. These habits encompass digitalization in learning, administration, and the development of teachers' digital competence. In addition, the workload of teachers is lighter with digitalization. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of teacher competence in the digital era. Abstrak Digitalisasi pendidikan telah memberikan perubahan yang signifikan peran dan tanggung jawab guru. Perubahan ini memberikan tantangan dan peluang baru bagi guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi untuk menunjang pekerjaan profesional sebagai seorang guru. Digitalisasi pendidikan mengharuskan guru untuk menggunakan teknologi digital dalam segala pekerjaan, sehingga banyak mengubah kebiasaan dan beban kerja guru untuk mendukung pekerjaan profesionalisme guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap kebiasaan-kebiasaan guru dan beban kerja guru dalam digitalisasi pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian studi literatur dengan mengidentifikasi topik penelitian berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu yang relavan dengan tujuan penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu menunjukkan digitalisasi pendidikan mampu memberikan perubahan kebiasaan dan beban kerja guru. Kebiasaan ini mencakup digitalisasi dalam pembelajaran, digitalisasi dalam administratif dan pengembangan kompetensi digital guru. Selain itu beban kerja guru lebih diringankan dengan adanya digitalisasi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kompetensi guru di era digital.

Abstract

This study examines the thoughts of six critical education figures from both the East and the West (Paulo Freire, Henry Giroux, Ira Shor, K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, Ki Hadjar Dewantara, and Mochtar Buchori), analyzed within the framework of ontology, epistemology, and axiology of critical education. Using a literature review and thematic analysis, this article reveals that although they come from different social and cultural contexts, these six thinkers share a common vision of education as a tool for emancipation and social transformation. Furthermore, the article explores how these ideas can be implemented within the Indonesian education system, which is still overshadowed by technocratic approaches and the dominance of market ideology. The findings recommend integrating the values of critical education into curriculum design, learning strategies, and national education policies as an effort to foster students’ critical consciousness and promote social justice.

Abstract

Digital leadership has become a transformative paradigm for achieving quality education in the digital era. However, existing studies are mostly narrative and fragmented, offering limited understanding of how this concept evolves globally across educational contexts. This study provides a novel bibliometric and visual analysis of global research on digital leadership from 2000 to 2025. It differs from previous works by combining a PRISMA-guided approach with VOS viewer visualization to systematically map intellectual structures, thematic evolution, and collaboration networks in the field. A total of 647 journal articles indexed in Dimensions.ai were analyzed quantitatively to trace the development of digital leadership research related to quality education. The analysis examined publication trends, author networks, and dominant themes to identify conceptual and regional shifts. The results reveal a clear transition from technology-oriented and managerial perspectives to value-based and human-centered frameworks emphasizing ethics, inclusion, and sustainability. This study contributes to consolidating digital leadership as a multidimensional construct that bridges technology, pedagogy, and moral responsibility. The findings provide a conceptual foundation for policymakers and educational leaders to design strategies that promote adaptive, ethical, and future-ready leadership in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education.
