Abstract

This research utilizes the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) dataset, examining 12,884 observations to explore quasars, stars, and white dwarf objects. Magnitude data and coordinates across five filter bands are analyzed, revealing unique features through statistical methods. The identification of 77,429 quasars with 15 dimensions enhances the dataset. Thorough analyses of stellar and white dwarf classes, coupled with visualization techniques, unveil variable relationships. Residual validation and Gaussian kernel density plots confirm significant class differences. Non-linear regression and a normal distribution mixture model depict complex variable relationships. A parallel coordinates plot aids in interpreting data patterns, while predictive modeling via regression exposes meaningful coefficients. Logistic regression effectively classifies astronomical objects in the SDSS training data. This research contributes to understanding celestial object characteristics, offering valuable insights for astronomers and astrophysicists in analyzing large-scale astronomical datasets.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi tradisi lokal hajat bumi dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam di Pulo Majeti, Kota Banjar. Tradisi hajat bumi merupakan ungkapan rasa syukur kepada Allah SWT atas hasil panen yang melimpah, yang mencerminkan hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, alam, dan leluhur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis, mengumpulkan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi hajat bumi mengandung nilai-nilai kebersamaan, gotong royong, dan penghormatan terhadap alam yang sejalan dengan tujuan pendidikan Islam, yaitu membentuk pribadi yang bertakwa kepada Allah SWT dan memiliki akhlak mulia. Tradisi ini tidak hanya memperkaya budaya lokal tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai sarana pendidikan yang efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keislaman pada masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai pendidikan akidah dalam buku "Pintu-Pintu Menuju Tuhan" karya Nurcholis Madjid dan relevansinya dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis isi, penelitian ini menganalisis teks asli buku tersebut sebagai sumber utama data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku "Pintu-Pintu Menuju Tuhan" menawarkan berbagai nilai pendidikan akidah, seperti pentingnya pasrah kepada Allah, iman yang dinamis, keseimbangan iman dan ilmu, keadilan dan kemakmuran, serta toleransi dan inklusivitas. Nilai-nilai ini relevan dengan tujuan Kurikulum Merdeka untuk menciptakan pendidikan karakter yang kuat dan pembentukan moral peserta didik. Buku ini tidak hanya memberikan wawasan tentang pendidikan akidah tetapi juga menawarkan panduan praktis untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan sistem pendidikan modern.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Fisika dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievement division. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas X-TEI 2 SMK Negeri 2 Banjar yang berjumlah 35 orang siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Fisika. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Pada setiap akhir siklus diberikan tes untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar post- test. Dari analisis data hasil belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sedikit mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar, dibandingkan dengan pra-siklus yakni jumlah siswa yang belum tuntas dalam belajar mengalami penurunan jumlah dari 15 orang siswa atau sebesar 53,57% menjadi 10 orang atau 35,7%. Sedangkan siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan dalam belajar meningkat dari 13 orang siswa (46,43%) menjadi menjadi 18 orang (64,3%). Namun demikian hasil belajar siswa belum seperti yang diharapkan dengan kondisi siswa yang tuntas belum mencapai 70%. Setelah dilaksanakan siklus II, hasil belajar siswa meningkat lagi menjadi 26 orang atau sebesar 92,86%. Sedangkan yang tidak tuntas hanya 2 orang atau sebesar 7,14%. Berdasarkan uraian di atas disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Fisika kelas X-TEI 2 SMK Negeri 2 Banjar

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools often faces challenges in student engagement and conventional teaching methods. The STREM model offers an interdisciplinary approach that not only improves science understanding but also integrates Islamic values. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the effectiveness of applying the STREM model in improving students' understanding and engagement in science learning at one private elementary school in the West Java province. This study used the Kemmis and McTaggart CAR model with 2-3 cycles, consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test), and student response questionnaires, then analysed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the application of the STREM model improved student learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 68 to 87, and a decrease in students in the "Needs Guidance" category from 45% to 10%. In addition, students' involvement in exploration increased from 55% to 92%, indicating that project-based learning and experimentation in the STREM model can increase students' interest and understanding of science. Thus, the STREM model proved effective in improving students' understanding of science, strengthening the integration between science and Islamic values, and increasing engagement in scientific exploration. However, teacher adaptation to exploratory methods and project time management are challenges that need to be refined. Therefore, additional training for teachers and flexibility in managing learning time are needed to optimize the implementation of the STREM model.

Abstract

Tourism villages in Ciamis Regency, West Java, possess significant potential for sustainable tourism development. Nevertheless, village tourism managers encounter numerous challenges, including limited comprehension of sustainability principles, insufficient environmental management, lack of access to financial and human resources, and constraints in strategic planning. This qualitative study, conducted through observations, interviews, and document analysis, investigates these challenges and evaluates the effectiveness of a capacity-building training program tailored for tourism village managers. Grounded in community engagement theory, the program emphasized participatory learning, innovation, and collaborative governance. The findings demonstrate that the training enhanced managerial competencies in sustainable tourism development, fostered innovation in tourism product design, and improved stakeholder engagement. The integration of local wisdom, environmental conservation, and community empowerment emerged as key components in building competitive and sustainable rural tourism destinations. The study contributes to the academic discourse on sustainable rural tourism and highlights the strategic role of targeted training and community involvement in achieving long-term development goals.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of STREM-based learning in enhancing the students’ scientific and religious literacy in the Basic Natural Science course. STREM – which refers to science, technology, religion, engineering, and mathematics – was used to teach 30 second-year-students of Islamic Education study program at STIT Muhammadiyah Banjar – a private teacher training school in Indonesia. Adopting the mixed-method approach, we used the pre-test and post-test to collect the quantitative data, while the qualitative data were gathered through interviews, observations, and student reflections. The results showed significant improvements in students’ scientific literacy (scored from 62.35 to 78.20) and religious literacy (scored from 58.10 to 74.65). Thematic analysis revealed that STREM-based learning could foster students’ critical thinking and encouraged deep spiritual reflection by linking scientific content with Islamic values. The integration of science and religion created a transformative learning experience, making the course more engaging and meaningful. These findings suggest that the STREM approach can serve as an effective model in Islamic higher education to develop holistic student competencies.

Abstract

The educational program integrating falak science with astronomy is designed to increase interest and understanding of science among students in Banjar City. Through interactive and practical approaches, this program aims to develop students' analytical and scientific skills. The program's implementation involves a series of workshops including direct celestial observations using telescopes and computer simulations, as well as group discussions. Evaluation, conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires and open discussions, shows a significant increase in students' understanding and interest in Falak science and astronomy. The average understanding score increased by 22 points (44%), and the interest in further study increased by 40%. This program not only provides academic benefits but also equips students with practical skills and a broader understanding of the world around them.

Abstract

Friday Prayer is a mandatory act of worship that holds both spiritual and social significance for Muslims, particularly for men. However, in practice, there are still phenomena of low discipline in performing Friday Prayer among market employees and traders due to the intensity of economic activities. This study aims to describe the level of Islamic understanding among market employees, to examine the discipline of Friday Prayer observance, and to analyze the influence of Islamic understanding on such discipline. The research method used is quantitative correlational with a sample of 50 employees of Banjar City Market selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed with the help of SPSS through prerequisite tests (normality, linearity, and heteroscedasticity) as well as the Spearman Rank correlation test. The findings show that employees’ Islamic understanding is in the high category (91.2%), as is their level of discipline in performing Friday Prayer (94%). The Spearman correlation test produced a coefficient value of 0.567 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.01, indicating a positive and significant influence between Islamic understanding and discipline in performing Friday Prayer. Thus, the higher the employees’ Islamic understanding, the more disciplined they are in observing Friday Prayer. These findings support structural functionalism theory, which emphasizes the role of religion in maintaining social order, while also providing practical implications for market management to facilitate religious practices amidst intensive economic activities.

Abstract

Background. This study aims to examine the influence of leader personality, leader values, regulatory focus, and servant leadership on education quality, particularly at the primary and secondary school levels in Tangerang City. Methods. Using a quantitative approach with descriptive methods, data were collected from 474 school principals through a structured questionnaire. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model based on Partial Least Square (PLS). Results. The results showed that personality, core values and regulatory focus significantly influenced servant leadership, which in turn had a positive impact on improving education quality. The findings also reveal that servant leadership plays a mediating role in the relationship between the three variables and education quality.Conclusion. This study emphasizes the importance of developing servant leadership attributes such as empathy, awareness and commitment to human growth in improving education quality. This study makes a new contribution to the educational leadership literature by integrating psychological and behavioral aspects in the context of primary and secondary school management.
