Abstract

This research discusses the relationship between parenting style and learning achievement of fifth grade at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah At-Taqwa 51 Bekasi. Based on observations, some grade V at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah At-Taqwa 51 Bekasi have low academic achievement. This is indicated by the presence of students who are still late for school and when a teacher gives homework (PR) there are some students who do not work on it and during daily tests and semester tests some students get score below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), so that a re-examination must be carried out to achieve the KKM score. The purpose of this research was to obtain data about the relationship between parenting parents and the learning achievement of fifth grade at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah At-Taqwa 51 Bekasi. The research method used is a quantitative correlation approach with observation techniques and distributing questionnaires to fifth grade at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah At-Taqwa 51 Bekasi, academic year 2022/2023, totaling 45 respondents. The results showed that the value of Alpha Sig. 0.000 <0.05, which is equal to 0.011 <0.05 or with the test results using rcount > rtable, which is equal to 0.375 > 0.301 so that Ha failed to reject and H0 was rejected. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between parenting style and learning achievement of fifth grade at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah At-Taqwa 51 Bekasi with a correlation of 14.1%. The permissive type of parenting is the parenting style most widely applied by parents of fifth grade students compared to democratic and authoritarian parenting styles.

Abstract

Humans are social beings, and thus they need interaction with others. Interacting requires social intelligence which is the ability to understand and express feelings to people around them. However, there are still students who are not able to interact well with the teacher. The students are unable to express their condition when they are not feeling well.The purpose of this study is to understand teachers’ efforts to improve the social intelligence of sixth-grade students at Private Islamic Primary Boarding School or Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta Ma'had Al-Zaytun in the context of learning. Secondly, the study aims to identify the inhibiting and supporting factors of students’ social intelligence enhancement in learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. To collect data, the researcher employs observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The population of this study are the sixth-grade teachers at school. Random sampling teachnique is conducted to find the sample. The samples are homeroom teacher and a subject teacher in class VI B03 and another subject teacher in class VI B07. The obstacle in this process includes lecture-based teaching, which is less interactive. This obstacle is solved by incorporating question-and-answer sessions to enable more active participation from students. The second obstacle is the use of students inappropriate language which is overcome through teacher’s consistent guidance and correction to foster better communication.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang Efektivitas Diskusi Kelompok dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Pokok masalah pertama dari penelitian ini yaitu efektivitas diskusi kelompok dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pendidikan kewarganegaraan siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. Pokok masalah yang kedua yaitu diskusi kelompok berlangsung dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah efektivitas diskusi kelompok dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pendidikan kewarganegaraan siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun dan diskusi kelompok berlangsung dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara kepada guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan pengisian lembar soal kepada siswa kelas VB07 MI Al-Zaytun serta observasi pada proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di kelas, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini memaparkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada saat pembelajaran sebelum menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok terbukti hasil belajarnya kurang. Yang dimana memperoleh rata-rata 68,18. Sedangkan hasil belajar pada saat menggunakan diskusi kelompok memperoleh rata-rata 85,90. Data pendukung lainnya yaitu dengan wawancara oleh guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Jadi terbukti bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan keefektivitasan diskusi kelompok dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sebagai alternatif dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Data pendukung lainnya yaitu dengan wawancara oleh guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Jadi terbukti bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan keefektivitasan diskusi kelompok dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sebagai alternatif dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to explore teachers’ experiences in supporting the fluency of reading skills among first-grade students at Ma’had Al-Zaytun Islamic Elementary School. Reading is a fundamental skill that serves as the foundation for all learning activities at the primary level. Without adequate reading ability, students often face difficulties in understanding other subjects. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological design to describe the authentic experiences of teachers in reading instruction. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with the first-grade teacher as the main informant, and documentation of teaching activities and student outcomes. The findings show that the teacher applied the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method, which was effective in helping students recognize whole words, break them down into syllables and letters, and simultaneously understand the meaning of texts. The teacher also implemented scaffolding strategies by grouping students according to their reading abilities, providing intensive assistance to struggling readers, and encouraging fluent readers to practice independently. Various teaching media were used, such as Bacalah books, syllable cards, KV charts, phonics games, and interactive visual aids, which enhanced student engagement and motivation. The main challenges included differences in students’ reading proficiency, lack of concentration, and difficulties in distinguishing similar letters. Supporting factors consisted of adequate school facilities, curriculum support, and the teacher’s creativity in designing enjoyable learning activities. This study concludes that teachers’ experiences play a crucial role in developing effective strategies for early reading instruction and may serve as a useful reference for both teachers and educational institutions in improving literacy at the primary level. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the school environment on the learning achievement of fourth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. The school environment studied includes physical aspects such as school facilities, classroom comfort, and cleanliness, as well as social aspects including teacher-student interaction and peer relationships. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the school environment significantly impacts students’ motivation and learning achievement. A clean and well-maintained physical environment combined with supportive social interaction provides a conducive atmosphere that improves academic results, while less supportive environments hinder learning. The study recommends schools to maintain facilities and foster a positive academic climate to optimize students’ potential. Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a grammatical learning method in Arabic at the Al Zaytun Islamic Institute of Indonesia in 2024. The background of this research is the difficulty of learning Arabic caused by uninteresting learning methods, limited learning resources, and lack of student motivation to see the practical benefits. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of al miftah lil ulum method in Arabic language learning at Al-Zaytun Islamic Institute of Indonesia in 2024. This method has been widely used in Arabic language teaching in various Islamic educational institutions. However, its effectiveness still needs to be researched more deeply to provide empirical evidence on the extent to which the al-miftah lil ulum method can help students in mastering complex Arabic grammar. The research sample involved 64 PBA students who were selected by purposive sampling and divided into two groups. The experimental group received Arabic grammar learning using the al-miftah lil ulum method, while the control group used the conventional method. Data on learning outcomes were collected through pretest and posttest, then analyzed by paired t-test. The results showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental group (0,000 < 0,05). This indicates the effectiveness of the al-miftah lil ulum method in improving students' Arabic grammar learning outcomes. This research has important implications for teachers, students, and Arabic curriculum development in higher education. The al-miftah lil ulum method can be an effective alternative in learning grammar. However, further research with a more robust experimental design and a larger sample is needed to strengthen these findings.
