Abstract

One of the busiest places is the beach. The beach is where the highest tide meets the mainland. The beach is a rapidly developing tourist destination with strategic potential, including the mangrove beach. The most common environmental problem is waste. The high rate of waste generation will definitely have an effect on the health of the environment, which includes the community and other living beings. The objective of the research was to determine community behavior that resulted in environmental damage. The research used a descriptive quantitative method where the data collected was based on the results of a questionnaire using a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that the behavior of coastal communities was in the unfavorable category as it resulted in environmental damage to mangrove beaches. The conclusion of this study is that the behavior of the community is in the unfavorable category, causing environmental damage to the mangrove coast. This is supported by the overall results with the highest value category for population activity (50%), natural resource conditions (80%) and mangrove conditions (53.3%). ) is not very good. Abstract

Background: One of the major occupational health problems that can arise due to ergonomic risk is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Office workers are among those most susceptible to chronic musculoskeletal health issues. This study aimed to identify factors associated with MSDs among employees of the Asahan District Education Office. Subjects and Method: This study was conducted at the Asahan District Education Office from December to January 2025. A descriptive quantitative analysis using a cross-sectional design was applied. The total population was 71 employees, and total sampling was used. Data were analyzed statistically using the Chi-square test. Results: There were significant associations between age (Mean=1.86; SD=0.350; p=0.004), work duration (Mean=1.65; SD=0.481; p=0.001), BMI (Mean=1.46; SD=0.502; p=0.001), and exercise habits (Mean=1.35; SD=0.481; p=0.001) with MSD complaints. However, gender (Mean=1.39; SD=0.492; p=0.683) was not significantly associated with MSDs. Conclusion: Four factors were significantly associated with MSD complaints. These findings can serve as a reference for institutions to improve ergonomic intervention and prevention efforts, such as mandating employees to participate in morning exercise activities every Friday.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasikan dampak stress kerja dan cara mengatasinya terhadap kinerja karyawan dalam memanajemen diri melawan stress kerja yang dapat mengganggu kinerja sebagai karyawan. Sering kita jumpai pengalaman kerja yang kurang menyenangkan dapat menyebabkan stress kerja. Data dikumpulkan dari artikel dan jurnal nasional yang dipublikasikan dalam 5 tahun terakhir, menggunakan kata kunci terkait seperti "stress kerja", "dampak stress kerja", "cara mengatasi", dan "kinerja karyawan". Analisis dilakukan terhadap 15 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stress kerja harus dimanajemen dengan baik karena akan berdampak terhadap kinerja karyawan. Meskipun saat ini telah banyak media yang dapat digunakan untuk mencari pengetahuan dasar dan informasi mengenai cara mengatasi stress kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hal yang perlu diperhatikan terhadap kinerja karyawan adalah sejauh mana tingkat keberhasilan yang bisa dicapai dalam bekerja. Sumber daya manusia merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam membina tenaga kerja. Lingkungan sekitar tempat bekerja juga dapat mempengaruhi stress kerja, sehingga perlu untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Menurunnya stress yang dialami karyawan akan meningkatkan kesehatan atau kinerjanya. Stress kerja dapat bersifat positif (eustress) yang dibutuhkan justru dapat menghasilkan prestasi yang tinggi, namun sering kita jumpai stres kerja lebih banyak merugikan terhadap kinerjanya. Dengan mengimplementasikan rekomendasi ini, diharapkan kinerja karyawan dapat dimanajemen dengan baik, sehingga stres kerja tidak akan berdampak terhadap kinerja karyawan.
