Abstract

Strategic management provides an appropriate for determining the direction of successful development of educational institutions. Implementing an inclusive education model can provide broad access for children with special needs to receive educational services. In general, several problems that often arise in the implementation of inclusive education models are lack of school readiness, managerially and administratively in managing and providing appropriate services for children with special needs. The aim of this research is to explain the implementation of strategic management in determining appropriate strategies to make inclusive schools child-friendly for students with special needs in regular classes. The approach used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques use in-depth interview techniques, in-depth observation and documentation. The research results show that a child-friendly inclusive education model can be implemented through several strategies, management of new students, management of teaching staff, management of disability-friendly infrastructure, as well as curriculum development by designing special coaching programs for students with special needs.

Abstract

Leadership is a key factor in determining the efficiency, effectiveness and improvement of school organizational performance, supported by the interpersonal communication skills of the madrasah principal in order to create harmony, understanding, and conformity of goals between leaders and their members, so as to increase the productivity and performance of good educational human resources. The purpose of this study was to reveal and analyze in depth the strategy for improving teacher performance at the Ci Doyang Private Middle School, Ciamis Regency through effective interpersonal communication patterns and managerial leadership of the madrasah principal. Data collection through in-depth interview methods, in-depth observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study interpret that in the managerial context of the madrasah principal at MTsS Ci Doyang as an effort to improve teacher performance, starting from the planning process, formulating the vision, mission, and goals of the madrasah, organizing various activities in improving teacher performance, fostering harmonious and togetherness traits and supportive cooperation, involving teachers in curriculum development towards teacher professionalism, improving the profession through workshops, providing learning motivation to continue studying, paying attention to teacher welfare and building a good work climate. Interpersonal communication that is established in the madrasah also becomes a factor that makes teachers feel appreciated and ultimately can be a motivation in improving performance. The results of the performance improvement are used as guidelines in performance evaluation, by giving awards and additional tasks as deputy head of the madrasah for teachers who have good performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of web-based Academic Information Systems on student satisfaction. The digital transformation in education requires the optimization of academic information systems to improve the efficiency of both academic and non-academic services. However, the implementation of such systems often faces several challenges, including user resistance, limited infrastructure, and suboptimal data quality. This research employed a quantitative approach with a population of 59 active students from the Islamic Education Management Study Program at the Institut Agama Islam Tasikmalaya. A sample of 51 respondents was determined using the Isaac and Michael formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation studies, with the latter serving as secondary data in the form of institutional records to complement and validate the information obtained from respondents, and then analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, and t-tests with IBM SPSS version 26. The findings indicate that the levels of system usage and student satisfaction fall into the moderate category. The coefficient of determination test resulted in a value of 31.3%, suggesting that the use of the Academic Information System contributes to student satisfaction, while the remaining 68.7% is influenced by other factors. Furthermore, the t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the use of web-based Academic Information Systems has a significant effect on student satisfaction.

Abstract

Keterampilan kepemimpinan merupakan aspek penting dalam pembentukan karakter dan kemandirian remaja. Program Youth Self-Leadership dirancang untuk meningkatkan kesadaran diri, kemandirian, dan kemampuan mengambil keputusan siswa melalui aktivitas praktis di lingkungan sekolah. Workshop ini mengintegrasikan sesi materi dan diskusi, simulasi, game/role play, serta refleksi diri, sehingga peserta belajar secara aktif dan menyenangkan. Pelaksanaan program melibatkan siswa remaja sebagai peserta, dengan penilaian dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui observasi perilaku peserta selama workshop, termasuk partisipasi dalam diskusi, simulasi, dan refleksi diri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan percaya diri, kemampuan mengambil keputusan, dan keterampilan kerja sama tim. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan berbasis workshop dalam program Youth Self-Leadership efektif dalam memberdayakan remaja dan mengembangkan keterampilan kepemimpinan secara praktis, serta dapat menjadi model pengembangan kepemimpinan remaja yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah lain.

Abstract

Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) hadir sebagai upaya untuk menumbuhkan kebiasaan membaca di lingkungan sekolah. Namun, dalam praktiknya, kegiatan literasi sering kali dijalankan sebatas rutinitas harian tanpa pendampingan yang membantu peserta didik benar-benar memahami dan menikmati bacaan. Berangkat dari kondisi tersebut, kegiatan ini dirancang untuk memperkuat pelaksanaan GLS melalui pendampingan membaca dengan menggunakan teks-teks yang dekat dengan kehidupan peserta didik.Pendampingan dilakukan dengan mengajak peserta didik membaca bersama, berdiskusi, dan merefleksikan isi bacaan sehingga aktivitas membaca tidak hanya berfokus pada penyelesaian teks, tetapi juga pada pemahaman dan keterlibatan emosional pembaca. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan persiapan, pendampingan membaca, dan evaluasi yang dilakukan dengan mengamati keterlibatan peserta serta refleksi sederhana setelah kegiatan berlangsung.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif terlibat dalam kegiatan membaca, lebih memahami isi bacaan, serta menunjukkan sikap yang lebih positif terhadap kegiatan literasi. Pendampingan membaca berbasis teks kontekstual ini dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk menjadikan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah lebih hidup, bermakna, dan dekat dengan pengalaman belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Competition among educational institutions requires madrasahs to implement marketing strategies that strengthen institutional image and attract new students. This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational marketing management strategies at MI Al Musthofa Karim Tasikmalaya and their relation to the increase in student enrollment. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, while data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. The findings indicate that marketing strategies are executed through managerial functions consisting of planning, organizing, implementation, and monitoring–evaluation. Strategy implementation combines offline promotion—such as brochure distribution, school visits, religious activities, and door-to-door outreach—with online promotion via social media. Operationally, the strategies are reflected in the application of the Marketing Mix 7P, including integrated educational programs, affordable fees, varied promotional media, strategic location, competent human resources, transparent service processes, and visible physical evidence of institutional achievements. Supporting factors include teacher competence, community networks, distinctive programs, and accessibility, while inhibiting factors involve limited facilities, competition from public schools, technological constraints, and suboptimal coordination during school holidays. The results affirm that effective madrasah marketing depends not only on promotional activities but also on the alignment between service quality and communication strategies. Therefore, adaptive and well-managed marketing strategies contribute to strengthening institutional image and increasing new student enrollment at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level.

Abstract

The performance of teaching and educational staff is a key determinant in achieving the objectives of educational institutions. One contributing factor to improving such performance is the interpersonal communication of the principal (head of madrasah). This study aims to describe and analyze the practice of principals’ interpersonal communication, its supporting and inhibiting factors, and its implications for the performance of teaching and educational staff. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive-analytical techniques. The findings reveal that principals’ interpersonal communication is manifested through openness, support, empathy, expressiveness, and equality. Supporting factors include message clarity, ease of understanding, and communicants’ maturity of thought, while inhibiting factors involve physical and semantic barriers. Furthermore, principals’ interpersonal communication functions as a controlling instrument and a source of work motivation, thereby enhancing the performance of teaching and educational staff. These findings underscore the significance of principals’ interpersonal communication competence as an essential managerial strategy in educational human resource development.
