Abstract

Methods have an important position in learning as a means to achieve a specific goal. The purpose of this research is to describe the use of the method of Sam'iyah Syafawiyah in an effort to improve the ability to hear and speak students in PKPBA UIN Malang. Maharah istima ' as maharah istiqbaliyah has an important role as a tool to collect information through hearing. The method of Sam'iyyah Syafawiyah proved to be a suitable approach to develop maharah istima', because it emphasizes the activity of listening as the beginning of learning, which is then implemented in the form of speaking. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research, data collection techniques involve direct observation of student interaction during the application of the method, interviews with students and teachers, as well as the analysis of documents such as class notes and evaluation results. While the data analysis used in the form of data reduction, data display and conclusions. Data validation process is done by triangulating data based on collection techniques. The research was conducted at the Special Program for Arabic language development (PKPBA) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia, in 2023 with the object of Student Research. The results showed that the steps of applying the method as follows, teachers can use YouTube as a learning tool, involving preliminary, repetitive, question and answer, and generalization. The results showed that students are able to respond well to audio and can pronounce words or sentences correctly. With the application of these methods in learning found some advantages and disadvantages when applied in PKPBA UIN Malang.

Abstract

Minangkabau manuscripts in Arabic Malay script contain many Minang vocabulary that is rarely revealed, even the vocabulary is rarely used in everyday language in Minangkabau due to the acculturation of the language into Indonesian. This paper aims to present Minangkabau vocabulary in Arabic Malay script in the Tanjung Barulak manuscript of Tanah Datar district, and to reveal the meaning of Minangkabau vocabulary in accordance with the development of the Indonesian language. This study uses a qualitative approach with a philological research method that has six working steps, namely manuscript inventory, manuscript description, manuscript grouping and text comparison, selection of text edition methods, transliteration, and additional studies (text comments). The primary data source is the Tanjung Barulak manuscript with the code 02/BB.II/twf/2021, and the secondary data source is in the form of literature studies from scientific articles, books, and several other related sources. The results of this study found more than 100 Minangkabau vocabulary in Arabic Malay script in the Tanjung Barulak manuscript. In addition, the meaning of the Minangkabau vocabulary in Arabic Malay script in this Manuscript is mostly far different from the development of the Indonesian language which already uses the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling, there are even some Minangkabau vocabulary that is no longer used in communication by the Minangkabau people due to language and cultural shifts. This study has presented several Minang vocabularies that are rarely used in daily communication found in one of the Minangkabau manuscripts. It is hoped that other researchers will continue to dig deeper into the Minangkabau vocabulary that found in Minangkabau manuscripts in order to enrich the treasury of the Minangkabau regional language.

Abstract

Bahasa dapat menjadi sarana atau media dalam berfilsafat karena segala kegiatan tidak terlepas dari bahasa yang berperan sebagai alat penyampaian dan penerimaan informasi. Berfilsafat dan berbahasa melibatkan aktivitas otak untuk mendapatkan dan menyampaikan kebenaran. Akan tetapi keterlibatan antara fikiran dan kata tidak hanya sebatas itu bahkan lebih jauh juga melibatkan kebenaran-kebenaran yang belum diungkapkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research), Setelah melakukan pengumpulan data, peneliti menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan data yang didapatkan dari sumber. Filsafat dan bahasa Arab saling berkaitan satu sama lain, berbahasa itu melibatkan rasional dan empiris begitu pula dengan berfilsafat. Berfilsafat selalu menunjukkan kemampuan untuk berfikir guna mendapatkan kebaikan dan kebenaran. Empirisme merupakan aliran filsafat yang menitikberatkan pada pengalaman inderawi manusia untuk memperoleh sumber kebenaran dan memorandum akal. Rasionalisme adalah faham filsafat yang menyatakan bahwa akal adalah alat terpenting untuk memperoleh pengetahuan dan menetes pengetahuan. Hubungan antara bahasa dan filsafat itu fundamental, karena apa yang keluar dari mulut menggambarkan apa yang ada dipikiran. Secara empiris bahasa Arab harus dipelajari terlebih dahulu, karena untuk berbahasa manusia harus memiliki beberapa kosa kata agar dapat diutarakan. Sedangkan secara Rasionalisme bahasa Arab harus sistematis, yaitu melibatkan morfologis, sintaksis dan semantik, dengan artian berbahasa Arab harus tersusun agar mudah dipahami oleh pendengar.
