Abstract

Group counseling is a service using a group approach that is often used by guidance and counseling practitioners in schools. However, there are still practitioners who are still unsure about understanding the basics of group counseling. So it can reduce the effectiveness of the services provided to clients. The method used in analyzing problems is literature study sourced from books, articles and scientific journals that are relevant to group counseling. The results of the literature study analysis that have been carried out show several basic things that need to be understood by guidance and counseling practitioners in understanding group counseling, namely the meaning, objectives, scope of service materials, function of group leaders, principles and steps for implementing group counseling. Having this understanding makes it easier for practitioners to provide group counseling services professionally.

Abstract

The service materials provided by guidance and counseling teachers are things that need to be considered and selected according to student needs. The accuracy of providing materials will help meet students' needs. So the selection of service materials for each development area will be different. This research aims to analyze the dominant service sector material provided by guidance and counseling teachers in schools. This type of research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The research population was all guidance and counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman. The research sample, namely BK teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman, was selected using the total sampling formula. The research instruments are interview guidelines and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the percentage formula. The results this research show that the provision of service materials for the learning development and social fields is the dominant field of material provided in schools. So that the results of this research can become a reference for guidance and counseling teachers in schools to broaden their understanding of the field of social development and learning so that they can choose service materials that are not monotonous, and with this understanding they can support the effectiveness of the services provided.

Abstract

Knowledge is something that will never end throughout the span of life and there will always be updates along with the times. The development of this science cannot be separated from a person's way of thinking philosophically who is never satisfied with a result that has been found. So there will always be new discoveries to improve human knowledge. This research aims to examine in depth from a theoretical perspective the nature of science which includes ontology, epistemology and axiology. This type of research is library research where the data comes from various literature, books, notes, articles, journals and other references relevant to ontology, epistemology and axiology. Data is analyzed through the stages of collection, exploration, classification, processing and interpretation which are contained and described in descriptive form. The results of this research show that ontology is the main stage in giving birth to a science, namely discussing everything that exists which is identical to the question. Epistemolgy is the second stage which contains search activities to find answers to the object you want to research. Axiology focuses more on the usefulness of the results of the studies being researched. So it can be understood that ontology, epistemology and axiology are three aspects that cannot be separated and are interconnected in understanding a science.

Abstract

The influence of adolescent self-disclosure in the context of social media use, especially related to the hyperhonest phenomenon. Self-disclosure on social media allows teenagers to reveal personal information intensively, which can influence the formation of their identity and social relationships. This research uses a literature study approach to compile and analyze various relevant literature sources regarding adolescent self-disclosure and the hyperhonest phenomenon on social media. The selected literature sources include journal articles, books, and dissertations that examine this topic from various perspectives. Teenagers' elf-disclosure in social media provides a platform that allows them to develop their self-identity in a broader and deeper way. Features like “Close Friends” on Instagram influence the intensity of self-disclosure by creating a more restricted and intimate environment. However, uncontrolled use of self-disclosure can also pose risks to teenagers' privacy and mental health. Adolescents' self-disclosure on social media plays an important role in shaping their identity and social relationships. By disclosing personal information online, teens can construct narratives about themselves and strengthen social bonds with their peers. However, it is important to pay attention to wise privacy management and awareness of the psychological impact of intensive self-disclosure.

Abstract

Educational decentralization is a key strategy in the modernization of Indonesia’s education system, granting greater authority to local governments to manage and develop education based on regional needs. This study aims to examine the strategic role of local governments in educational development through decentralization policies, as well as the challenges faced in their implementation. The findings indicate that decentralization contributes to improving the quality, relevance, and equity of educational access through localized curriculum adaptation, the implementation of school-based management, and teacher training tailored to local contexts. Local governments also play a crucial role in resource management, budget allocation, and the development of educational infrastructure. However, challenges such as disparities in educational quality among regions, limited professional human resources, and bureaucratic obstacles remain to be addressed. This study emphasizes that the success of educational decentralization depends heavily on the synergy between central and local governments, strong legal frameworks, and active community participation. Therefore, decentralization can serve as a driving force in establishing an inclusive, adaptive, and globally competitive education system.
