Abstract

The study of positive psychology is currently an interesting part of efforts to form students who are active and happy in the learning process with meaningful activities. Mindfulness deep breathing in the learning process is not widely studied, because research is still limited to individual and group contexts. Thus, this research focuses on the application of classical mindfulness deep breathing format which is effective in improving students' academic well-being. The design used was multiple pretest post test with the research subjects being class X high school students. Data collection uses the Student Subjective Wellbeing Questionnaire (SSWQ). The results of the repeated measure test prove that the classical format mindfulness deep breathing is effective in improving students' academic well-being (f (1,72) = 272,80; p <0,001). The findings in this study show the effectiveness of the mindfulness deep breathing technique implemented in a classical format in improving students' academic well-being.

Abstract

Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini yang memiliki kompetensi pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada perkembangan siswa (pedagogy), diperlukan juga kompetensi dalam penyelenggaraan program parenting (andragogy). Hal itu dikarenakan umumnya program parenting yang dilakukan dengan metode sosialisasi atau pengayaan pengetahuan saja, akan tetapi tidak mendasar pada proses membangun harapan dan menyajikan pengalaman dalam bentuk dialog. Pada konteks ini tujuan parenting perlu menyajikan harapan yang terbuka mengenai kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh orang tua, agar kemudian dapat tumbuh resiliensi saat menghadapi kesulitan dikarenakan melalui kegiatan reflektif dipercaya dapat menumbuhkan resiliensi sesorang. Meskipun demikian, untuk mecapai tujuan tersebut diperlukan guru yang terampil dalam mengelola program parenting dengan pendekatan reflektif. Untuk itu direalisasikan peningkatan kompetensi budaya reflektif guru PAUD dalam program parenting dengan metode workshop 5 tahapan. Pada prosesnya, guru PAUD juga diberikan kompetensi untuk mengelola platform digital untuk memudahkan proses refleksi yang berkelanjutan. Adapun hasil dari implementasi penerapan pendekatan reflektif pada parenting yang akan dilaksakan guru PAUD diantaranya, 1) Guru memiliki strategi menerapkan refleksi pada program parenting, 2) Guru mampu mengelola platform digital parenting, dan 3) Guru meyakini dapat melakukan tindaklanjut pada program parenting yang akan diselenggarakan di satuan pendidikan masing-masing. Early Childhood Education Teachers who have learning competencies that are oriented towards student development (pedagogy), also need competency in implementing parenting programs (andragogy). In general, parenting programs are carried out using socialization or knowledge enrichment methods only, but are not based on the process of building hope and presenting experiences in the form of dialogue. In this context, parenting goals need to present open expectations regarding the difficulties faced by parents, so that resilience can then grow when facing difficulties. Reflective activities are believed to foster a person's resilience. However, to achieve this goal requires teachers who are skilled in managing parenting programs with a reflective approach. For this reason, it is realized to increase the reflective cultural competence of PAUD teachers in parenting programs using the workshop method. In the process, PAUD teachers are also given the competency to manage digital platforms to facilitate a continuous reflection process. The results of the implementation of the reflective approach to parenting that PAUD teachers will carry out include, 1) Teachers have strategies for implementing reflection in parenting programs, 2) Teachers are able to manage digital parenting platforms, 3) Teachers believe they can carry out follow-up on parenting programs that will be held in each school.

Abstract

The process and strategy to prevent children from dropping out of school has been carried out systematically in Indonesia. However, when it comes to the strategy for children returning to school still have difficulties, as well as several obstacles and dilemmas to requites the right strategy. The purpose of this study is to examined the strategies of eradicating out-of-school children and the best practices of alternative schools to provide inclusive and free education  Qualitative methods were chosen in the research process, primary data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) with 28 informants, includes policy makers, principals, teachers and students. The data was analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that a strong decentralized policy is needed to eradicating OOSC. Furthermore, alternative school plays a role in providing open classes for OOSC with unique characteristics. Good practices of OOSC handling and prevention strategies by alternative school can strengthen the roadmap of OOSC governance and handling strategies at the district level. The implication of this study is that the government, academics, society, and the media need to works together so it can enabling children who have dropped out of school to return to school with awareness.

Abstract

The socialization of the Three Big Sins in education at SMP IT La Royba, Serang City is an initiative strategy aimed at strengthening the profile of Pancasila Students. This program focuses on preventing three main negative behaviors: bullying, violence, and drug propaganda, which are considered major sins in the world of education. Through this socialization, students are invited to understand the negative impacts of these three behaviors and the importance of avoiding them, with a practical emphasis on applying Pancasila values ​​such as mutual cooperation, integrity and morality in everyday life. The program involves various stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the community, to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive approach. Socialization activities are carried out through various methods, such as seminars, group discussions and interactive activities, to ensure key messages can be received and well understood by students. The expected results of this program are the creation of a school environment that is safer, more comfortable and conducive to the learning process, as well as the formation of student characters who are more noble, disciplined and responsible. Thus, it is hoped that this socialization can support the development of a young generation of high quality and integrity, in accordance with the national education vision. This program will not only impact students, but also the entire school ecosystem, which will ultimately contribute to the creation of a better and more moral society. This entire initiative is an important step in strengthening the foundation of character education based on Pancasila values ​​in Indonesia

Abstract

Self-efficacy presents high confidence in achieving goals, including those who are pregnant. On the other hand, there is a food taboo phenomenon that is believed by people across generations in various regions including on the coast amidst the acceleration of information. This phenomenon is by carrying out food taboos that are believed to affect health. On the other hand, these taboos risk a person lacking nutritious food. Where other risks are the health of the fetus and child in the future and the risk of stunting. This manuscript will contain the main findings about the perspective of food taboo and the dynamics of their self-efficacy while continuing the legacy of food taboo from the previous generation. This study uses a qualitative approach, as many as 12 mothers on the coast were selected as respondents purposively to explore their food taboo perspective, with guidelines for food taboo and self-efficacy interviews. The analysis was carried out by coding through Nvivo, to then produce the main theme. The themes as findings in this study are related to 1) Effort Towards Goal with sub-sequence (Curiosity about health literacy, Focus on pregnancy, Food taboo is a problem, Taboos Are Just Myths), 2) Lack of Self-Efficay with sub-sequence (Belief in food taboos, Lack of literacy), 3) Social Persuasion with sub-sequence (cross-generational influences, individual beliefs).

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) di abad ke-21 memerlukan pendekatan yang relevan dengan tuntutan zaman. Dalam konteks globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi, pendidik PAUD harus mampu mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, memahami keberagaman budaya dan sosial anak, serta memperhatikan perkembangan psikologis anak yang semakin kompleks. Pendampingan pembelajaran menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang relevan dalam mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Melalui pendampingan pembelajaran, pendidik PAUD dapat memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kebutuhan individual anak, meningkatkan kualitas interaksi dengan anak-anak, serta memperluas repertoar strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan perkembangan anak di abad ke-21. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan PAUD di abad ke-21. Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendidikan dan pelatihan kepada pendidik PAUD tentang pendampingan pembelajaran yang relevan dengan tuntutan zaman. Bahwa melalui program ini, pendidik PAUD mampu memberikan pendidikan yang lebih relevan dan berkualitas kepada anak-anak, sehingga mereka dapat tumbuh dan berkembang dengan baik di abad ke-21. Dengan demikian, kami berharap dapat memberikan kontribusi yang positif bagi pendidikan anak usia dini di Indonesia

Abstract

This study is motivated by the critical role of correctional institutions (Lembaga Pemasyarakatan) in fostering the rehabilitation of inmates not only from a legal perspective but also in terms of psychological well-being. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation and impact of a counseling workshop on the psychological well-being of inmates at Lapas Kelas III Rangkasbitung. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The workshop was conducted in one day at the prison hall by students of the Nonformal Education and Guidance and Counseling Program at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, consisting of four main sessions: material delivery, completion of the DASS questionnaire, art therapy through drawing activities, and a reflective spin wheels game. The findings indicate that the workshop enhanced inmates’ understanding of mental health and reduced levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. Moreover, inmates’ active participation had a positive effect on stress management, increased future-oriented hope, and strengthened motivation for personal transformation. These results suggest that counseling workshops are an effective and relevant psychological development strategy that should be implemented sustainably within correctional facilities to support the psychological well-being of inmates.
