Abstract

Cultivation of horticultural crops especially fruits, has long been practiced in Indonesia. Citrus plants are one of the main fruit commodities developed in Indonesia. Increased citrus production is inseparable from challenges, especially in controlling harmful pest attacks. Bactrocera fruit fly has attracted worldwide attention because of its ability to attack more than a hundred horticultural crops and cause crop failure. Various ways have been done to control Bactrocera, such as protecting the fruit with wrapping and even the use of synthetic insecticides that cause many losses. To overcome this, innovations are needed using biological control. Entomopathogenic fungi are potential candidates for bioinsecticides. This study aims to isolate and identify entomopathogenic fungi from Bactrocera dorsalis from citrus plants. The entomopathogenic fungus isolation method uses the moist chamber method. Then the fungal isolates will be identified macroscopically and microscopically. The isolation results show that five types of fungi are identified from the body of Bactrocera dorsalis. The five fungi can be used as candidates for entomopathogenic fungi.

Abstract

The Sister City partnership between Surabaya and Kitakyushu, established in 1997, has become a vital driver of sustainable development with a strong emphasis on environmental conservation and economic inclusivity. Grounded in Green Political Theory, this collaboration translates sustainability principles into actionable initiatives addressing pressing environmental issues while fostering socio-economic growth. This qualitative study explores the impacts and outcomes of the Surabaya-Kitakyushu partnership through methods such as document analysis and stakeholder interviews. It evaluates strategies, initiatives, and partnerships developed under the Sister City framework, highlighting their effectiveness and challenges. Central to this collaboration are commitments to ecological responsibility, social equity, and inclusive economic development. Notable initiatives include the Takakura composting method and the "Green and Clean" program, which have significantly improved resource efficiency and environmental quality. These efforts underscore Surabaya’s emergence as a regional leader in sustainable development, as evidenced by hosting high-profile events and promoting global knowledge-sharing. Ultimately, the partnership showcases the transformative potential of cross-city collaboration in advancing environmental sustainability, community engagement, and equitable growth, reinforcing the importance of integrating ecological and social priorities into urban development strategies.

Abstract

Introduction: Burnout is a major problem for students as they face a variety of academic, social, and personal challenges. Burnout can cause negative behavior in students such as unreal in doing coursework, negative expression, not attending lectures, low motivation, dropping out and so on. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and Burnout in professional studentsMethods: This study used a correlational analytical design with a cross sectional approach using the Simple Random Sampling (SRS) Technique, 89 respondents were obtained. The study data were taken using the General Self Efficacy Scale questionnaire. to measure self-efficacy and the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire to measure Burnout.  Data analysis using Spearman rhoResults: 82% of students had moderate self-efficacy and 73% had moderate burnout. The spearmans rho test showed indigo p = 0.609 with RS = -0.055, which means that there was no significant relationship between self-efficacy and Burnout in ners professional studentsConclusion: The results showed that the high and low Self Efficacy of professional students will not affect the level of student burnoutKeywords: Self Efficcay, Burnout, Nursing Students
