Abstract

Abstract

The workforce's demand for critical thinking and innovation highlights the need to improve students' problem-solving skills, thus encouraging educational institutions to adopt technology-based strategies for an engaging learning environment. Previous studies have explored the relationship between learning motivation and academic outcomes and the role of technology and web-based media in improving problem-solving skills. However, limited research has comprehensively examined the interaction between computational thinking, technology integration, learning motivation, and student performance. This study aims to examine how Computational Thinking (CT) and Technology Integration (TI) influence Learning Motivation (LM) and Student Performance (SP), providing insights into optimizing digital skills for academic success in the digital age. Data were collected from 426 respondents' university students in Indonesia randomly. A questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale consisting of several variables such as Computational Thinking, Technology Integration, Learning Motivation, and Student Performance were used in this study. Then, the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to check the measurement and assessment model. The results showed that CT and TI positively and significantly impacted LM and SP. In addition, LM serves as an important mediator, strengthening the influence of CT and IT on academic outcomes. Specifically, technology integration has a greater impact on LM than CT, while LM significantly improves SP. This study presents a detailed framework for educators to enhance learning experiences by integrating digital skills and fostering student motivation. The findings offer practical implications for developing effective educational strategies that meet the changing demands of the digital age. Future research is recommended to investigate the long-term effects of CT and IT in various educational environments.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the digital era requires teachers to have adequate technological literacy, especially in economic learning that is relevant to the dynamics of everyday life. This service program aims to improve teachers' digital economic literacy through a Kahoot-based game-based learning approach. Four main materials were developed, namely Shares, Online Gambling, Life Trail, and MagicSchool AI. The activity was carried out with the South Sulawesi Economics Teacher MGMP Forum using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach through the stages of socialization, training, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The methods used were interactive quizzes, simulations, discussions, and hands-on practice. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in teachers' understanding, with the highest achievement in the material of Shares and MagicSchool AI. This training not only strengthens teachers' digital skills, but also fosters their reflective, collaborative attitudes and readiness as agents of change in integrating digital technology in economic learning.

Abstract

This research aims to implement an announcement and communication information system in the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar. The system utilizes information technology that combines computation and interaction to develop software and hardware components. Prior to the existence of e-learning, learning was conducted face-to-face, but having these two learning options could lead to communication gaps between teachers and students. Therefore, a website-based announcement and communication information system (SIPKOM) was developed to provide quick information and enable communication among students, administrators, and teachers. The research and development method was employed in this study. Data was collected through literature review, scientific journals, and online questionnaire distribution using Google Form. The system development utilized Agile Development methodology, allowing for quick adaptation to changes. The system design was based on Unified Modeling Language (UML) for visualization and design standards. System testing was conducted through Black box testing, where software was tested without considering its internal details. The development plan for the SIPKOM application encompassed Use case modeling, Activity diagram, sequence diagram, and class diagram. Use case modeling was used to represent the interactions between users and the system. The Activity diagram was utilized to depict the workflow of the application, including schedule display, account announcements, and chat features. Through this research, it is expected to provide a comprehensive insight into the effectiveness of the announcement and communication information system in the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering. The system is anticipated to help overcome communication gaps between teachers and students and enhance the efficiency of information management and communication in the academic environment.

Abstract

The School Health Unit is an important component in the education system to promote the health and well-being of students. UKS aims to provide comprehensive health services to students, including disease prevention, health monitoring, health counseling, and basic medicine. But there are several obstacles that are often faced in managing data in the UKS, including limited technology infrastructure, lack of training and skills in data management, time constraints, data privacy and security issues and several other obstacles that might occur. For this reason, a website-based information system is needed that can be used easily by all people but still with useful features such as drug stock lists and student visits so as to be more efficient in inputting data. The School Health Unit Information System (SI-UKS) is a technology platform used to manage and organize student health information and support the administrative and operational activities of the School Health Unit. The School Health Unit Information System (SI-UKS) plays an important role in improving the efficiency and management of information in school health services. Through efficient management of student data, good data reporting and analysis, and integrated communication, SI-UKS helps improve the quality of health services and overall student well-being. In designing this website-based Information System using the waterfall method.
