Abstract

Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) is a concrete form of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the aspect of community engagement. The KKN program in Ndeskati Village, Naman Teran Subdistrict, Karo Regency, 2025, was carried out to optimize the potential of the village while addressing various challenges faced by the community. Ndeskati Village has great potential in horticultural agriculture, yet it still encounters obstacles such as limited use of technology, low environmental awareness, and lack of educational and literacy facilities. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, students conducted observations, interviews, and documentation of several work programs, including strengthening religious moderation, the Smart Children Festival, perwiritan (Islamic gathering), the establishment of a mini garden and family medicinal plants (TOGA), as well as community service (gotong royong). The results showed an increase in community participation in socio-religious activities, the strengthening of solidarity values, improved environmental awareness, and support for children’s educational development. The presence of KKN students not only provided direct contributions to the community but also served as a social learning platform for students to enhance communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Therefore, the KKN program in Ndeskati Village plays a strategic role in bridging the academic sphere with community life and supporting sustainable village development.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of corporate business activities has intensified the potential for commercial disputes, thereby necessitating effective, efficient, and legally certain dispute resolution mechanisms. Arbitration has emerged as a preferred alternative for corporations due to its flexibility, confidentiality, and reliance on contractual autonomy. This study examines the legal status of corporations as subjects of law in arbitration, the scope of contractual autonomy in determining arbitral mechanisms, and the limits of state intervention through courts in Indonesia. Employing a normative legal research method with statutory and conceptual approaches, the research analyzes Law Number 30 of 1999 and relevant legal doctrines through systematic stages of issue identification, legal material collection, normative analysis, and conclusion formulation. The findings indicate that corporations possess full legal capacity to bind themselves to arbitration agreements and are obligated to comply with final and binding arbitral awards. Judicial intervention is strictly limited to procedural aspects of recognition, enforcement, and annulment, thereby preserving arbitral finality while ensuring legal certainty.

Abstract

This paper examines the concept of bughat as a form of political crime within Islamic law and its relevance to contemporary governance. The study is motivated by the enduring concern of Islamic jurisprudence for political stability, public security, and communal unity, particularly in responding to acts of rebellion against legitimate authority. Employing a normative legal research method, the study analyzes classical fiqh literature, Qur’anic verses, Prophetic traditions, and contemporary Islamic legal scholarship. The research stages include doctrinal analysis, contextual interpretation, and comparison between classical and modern perspectives. The findings demonstrate that bughat is not limited to armed rebellion but encompasses organized actions aimed at undermining legitimate authority and social order. The discussion highlights the legal, social, and political implications of bughat, emphasizing proportional enforcement, restorative justice, and the protection of public welfare (maṣlaḥah). Ultimately, the study concludes that the concept of bughat remains relevant as an ethical–juridical framework for maintaining political stability, preventing radicalism, and supporting just and democratic governance in modern contexts.
