Abstract

In Indonesia, sexual assault on campuses is against Pancasila ideals and has to be expected right away. Examining sexual assault on campuses from a Pancasila viewpoint is the goal of this study. A literature review is conducted as part of a qualitative procedure. The study's findings indicate that the number of incidences of sexual assault has been rising significantly over the last several years. The ideals of Pancasila, including social justice and a fair and civilised humanity, are in direct opposition to this sexual assault. Therefore, in order to prevent and end sexual assault on campuses, sexual education that incorporates Pancasila ideals must also be implemented there.

Abstract

Gender inequality, sexual violence, domestic violence, trafficking in women, and wartime exploitation are some of the many human rights violations that occur. With the advancement of information technology and globalization, the use of violence has changed and evolved. Revenge pornography, also known as "revenge porn", is combined with direct acts of violence. The purpose of this research is to find out what causes revenge pornography and how legal protection can be given to its victims. This research uses normative research that uses legislation to examine a study by examining theories, concepts. Some of the causes of revenge pornography crimes are as follows: Ineffective laws, the patriarchal culture that still exists in Indonesian society, lack of sexual education, law enforcement that has not run properly, and handling victims who often backfire. The state is responsible for protecting victims of sexual harassment. Several existing laws protect victims of pornographic abuse.

Abstract

This research explores the role of media and technology in supporting Civic Education (Civics) in the digital era. The focus is on using effective methods of media and technology to enhance students' understanding of civic concepts. The research methodology involved a literature study to analyze diverse sources of information. The results show that the integration of media and technology in civic education can enrich students' learning experience and strengthen the understanding of civic values. However, the positive and negative impacts of technology in this context need to be considered to keep students focused on meaningful learning. Thus, educational media and technology can play an important role in improving students' civic skills through various applications and platforms, while requiring careful supervision and direction from educational institutions and educators.

Abstract

In elementary school, Citizenship Education subjects are an ideal forum for inserting character education, because the topics include values ​​such as responsibility, honesty, justice, cooperation and love of the country. Teachers are able to integrate various activities and learning methods to help students know and apply these values ​​in everyday life. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative or narrative method which aims to study a problem more deeply using the method of analyzing several theories without calculating percentages. This research uses a qualitative research method because it describes the implementation of character education in elementary schools to see clearly news about the reality that occurs in the field, after that analyzing the results. Therefore, Citizenship Education learning must be improved to improve student character through planning, implementation and assessment processes. This effort is included in the Citizenship Education subject, where citizenship education material produces student character. For this reason, character education is said to have been successfully implemented in several elementary schools. It can be concluded that the implementation of character education through Civics subjects in elementary schools is important, although there are still several challenges such as a lack of teacher training and a rigid curriculum.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the impact of Cyber Bullying in the digital era during adolescence. This research uses a literature review study method. This research found results in the form of the influence of Cyber Bullying in the digital era during adolescence. Based on a literature review study, it was found that the current generation of teenagers will have a good education in both the real and virtual worlds. Indicators of the causes of Cyber ​​Bullying are 1) Anonymity: The freedom to remain anonymous while using the internet can encourage people to act violently without worrying about facing immediate repercussions. 2) Lack of Empathy: When a perpetrator is physical. The aim of the research is to determine the impact of Cyber Bullying in the digital era on teenagers.

Abstract

Citizenship education aims to cultivate citizens who not only possess good academic abilities but also have strong social awareness and are capable of actively participating in community life. This is achieved by instilling values ​​of democracy, human rights, and citizenship responsibility. In this study, a qualitative approach was used to analyze texts and descriptive data from relevant literature to assess the importance of citizenship education in building responsible and honest character. The results indicate that citizenship education involves understanding of political and legal systems as well as the formation of positive attitudes, values, and morals in individuals. Therefore, the next generation is expected to have strong character and contribute positively to society. Thus, this research highlights the importance of citizenship education in preparing individuals to be active, responsible citizens who play a role in building inclusive and democratic societies

Abstract

Novice voters are the type of voters who need to pay attention to their level of political participation. The importance of the role of social media is needed because of the lack of awareness and low political education for beginner voters so that it can reduce their participation rate in general elections. The aim is to find out the importance of the role of social media in increasing the participation of novice voters among students of Muhammadiyah Riau University. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by collecting data and research facts about the role of social media and beginner voters among students. The existence of social media requires the government and political parties to immediately respond to all comments. Nowadays, people can communicate directly with these institutions to voice their opinions, provide comments, and even submit their demands. First-time voters can participate in politics through various digital platforms. This phenomenon creates a new era in political participation, known as digital political participation or more simply referred to as online political participation. Social media is now the cheapest, fastest and most effective communication tool. It is inevitable how important the role of social media is in politics to attract people's attention through campaigns, teach the younger generation about politics, and increase the participation of first-time voters.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine how the literature on Pancasila values has developed in the era of globalization. By conducting a literature review and looking at 17 journal articles released between 2019 and 2023. This research aims to convey knowledge or understanding about the application of Pancasila values to the lives of the younger generation in the current era of globalization which has resulted in some people forgetting these values. -value itself. This research shows that most Indonesian people do not apply Pancasila values in their daily lives and the same goes for social life in the era of globalization. This research can be used as a basis for further research in this area and can help increase the awareness of Indonesia's young generation towards the values of Pancasila. Future research could expand the scope and duration of the study, as well as improve the analysis to pinpoint patterns and modifications that need to be considered.

Abstract

The advancement of the era has witnessed unparalleled upheaval in the dissemination of data worldwide. This mechanical progress has infiltrated every aspect of human relations. One field impacted by this digital transformation is education. This article aims to understand the importance of data innovation in civic education, which can provide tremendous benefits in shaping a younger generation informed about civic education. In this study, we employ a literature review method to investigate phenomena related to Civic Education Transformation. We meticulously gather and analyze various sources, including books, scholarly journals, and other publications relevant to our topic. The transformation of civic education in the digital era is an adaptive and innovative process responsive to the development of information technology. Digitalization has significant impacts on civic education, both positively and negatively. On one hand, digitalization enables broader and faster access to information, allowing students to access various sources of civic education information. With this digitalization, students can easily search for information, thus enhancing efficiency in learning activities. However, this digital era is not without challenges that must be addressed. To address these challenges, it is essential to implement civic education values expected to realize Indonesia's educational vision in creating the profile of Pancasila learners.

Abstract

Citizenship education has been recognized as an important element in shaping the character of individuals and society. However, its implementation in Indonesia raises critical analysis. This paper explores various aspects of citizenship education in Indonesia, including curriculum, teaching methods, and evaluation. Critical analysis is carried out on its effectiveness in forming character, overcoming challenges, and improving the quality of democracy. Apart from that, aspects of inclusivity, diversity and relevance in the context of diverse societies in Indonesia are also paid attention to. The results of this analysis provide insight into the efforts needed to strengthen citizenship education as an inclusive and relevant character builder in the Indonesian context.
