Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of curriculum changes on teaching methods at SDN Pengembangan 9. Although curriculum changes are expected to improve the quality of education, their implementation often poses challenges for teachers and students. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with teachers, and document analysis related to the curriculum and student learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate that the curriculum change has a significant impact on teaching methods in the classroom. Teachers at SDN Pengembangan 9 faced difficulties in adjusting their teaching methods to meet the demands of the new curriculum, including understanding updated materials and teaching strategies. Some teachers required additional training to effectively implement the curriculum. Furthermore, students also experienced challenges in adapting to these changes, which affected their motivation and learning performance. These findings emphasize that the successful implementation of the new curriculum requires comprehensive support for teachers, including training, guidance, and adequate resources. In conclusion, curriculum changes have the potential to improve the quality of education, but they require effective support strategies to ensure their positive impact can be optimally realized in the primary school environment..

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low social skills of students. The low social skills of students are caused by the lack of good relationships from educators and students during learning activities. Efforts that can be made are educators using the INSPIRED learning model (PBL. TPS, NHT) and Educaplay media. This study aims to analyze the social skills of students. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) which mas conducted in 4 meetings. The subjects of this study ware grade IV students of SDN Melayu 5 Banjarmasin City, totaling 17 people in semester II of the 2023/2024 academic year. In this study, the data taken is qualitative data through observation of student’s social skills. The findings of this study indicate that social skills at meetings I to IV have increased from a percentage of 29% to 94% with the criteria “Very Skilled”. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the INSPIRED model and Educaplay media can improve students’ social skills.

Abstract

Permasalahan inti dalam penelitian ini adalah kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam penyusunan tema pembelajaran tematik untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala tersebut dan menawarkan solusi yang tepat. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif, yang dilakukan di SDN 3 Dirgahayu dengan fokus pada wawancara mendalam dan observasi terhadap proses penyusunan tema pembelajaran oleh guru. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif selama periode satu minggu, mulai dari pengumpulan data hingga penyusunan laporan akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala utama yang dihadapi guru meliputi kurangnya pelatihan mengenai kurikulum tematik, keterbatasan sumber daya, serta waktu yang tidak memadai untuk merancang tema pembelajaran. Selain itu, terdapat tantangan dalam kolaborasi antar guru dan pemahaman yang berbeda mengenai implementasi kurikulum. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini mencakup perlunya peningkatan pelatihan bagi guru, penyediaan sumber daya yang lebih baik, dan pengembangan platform kolaboratif untuk berbagi pengalaman dan strategi dalam penyusunan tema pembelajaran. Dengan perbaikan tersebut, diharapkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah dasar dapat meningkat secara signifikan.

Abstract

The transformation of Indonesia's national education system through the implementation of the Education Report Card represents a major shift towards data-driven evaluation practices. However, the extent to which elementary school principals are able to interpret, utilize, and respond to this policy has not been widely studied. This study aims to examine the perceptions of elementary school principals towards the policy synergy between the central government and local governments in the implementation of the Education Report Card. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this study involved 85 elementary school principals in Banjarmasin City from a total of 260 questionnaires distributed. The instrument used was a structured Likert scale questionnaire that assessed five main dimensions: personal readiness, quality of school management, utilization of the education report card, condition of facilities and infrastructure, and perceptions of policy synergy. The results of the study indicate that although principals have high personal readiness and positive perceptions of the national evaluation policy, there are still challenges in its implementation, especially related to limited facilities, minimal support from local governments, and low institutional data literacy. This study concludes that policy implementation is not enough just through data dissemination, but must be accompanied by ongoing cross-government collaboration, contextual capacity building, and comprehensive systemic support. These findings provide a basis for improving policy design and encourage further longitudinal and mixed-method studies to evaluate the long-term impact of report card-based school improvement strategies.
