Abstract

This study examines the causes of delays in providing medication to Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) patients in hospitals within the Jakarta region and develops strategies to address this issue. The research findings, based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method reveal that empty stock at the distributors have the most significant impact on medication distribution delays, followed by wrong branch selection. The SWOT analysis results show that the Empty Stock at the Distributor is in quadrant III position which requires minimizing weaknesses to seize opportunities. Meanwhile, the alternative of wrong branch selection is in quadrant I which requires utilizing strengths to seize opportunities. It can be concluded that this indicates the company must utilize strengths to reduce weaknesses and seize opportunities. Strategies to enhance the efficiency of pharmaceutical distribution is using an integrated stock monitoring system and use of real-time stock monitoring system and strategically collaborating with distributors. The system helps companies manage stock more effectively, efficiently, and organized, while increasing competitiveness in the market.Collaboration with distributors become a key step to speed up the distribution process, reduce the risk of shortages or overstocks, and improve customer satisfaction through more timely and efficient deliverie. This research contributes theoretically to the integration AHP-SWOT approach focused on optimizing supply chain management can suggest strategy improving hospital procurement processes, and reducing ISPA medication distribution delays to enhance service level agreement which is necessary to enhance the quality of medical services in Jakarta.

Abstract

The appearance of four-wheeled vehicles is the first aspect observed by customers. Defects in appearance, such as gaps in the rear combination lamps, can reduce the competitiveness of Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) products. Such defects affect product quality and customer satisfaction, making it essential for companies to minimize defects to enhance market competitiveness. This study applies the QCC (Quality Control Circle) method with a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) approach, supported by the 8-step problem-solving process and 7 QC tools. The method aims to identify the root causes of defects and implement appropriate corrective actions. In its implementation, the Plan phase involves identifying the problem and analyzing root causes using QC tools such as Pareto charts and fishbone diagrams. In the Do phase, corrective actions are carried out by adjusting processes or materials. The Check phase includes evaluating the results of the corrective actions, while the Action phase ensures the changes are sustained over time. Using the QCC method, defect rates per unit decreased from 0.130 to 0.004.

Abstract

Draft quality is a crucial problem in the sizing section. There were 3889 warp yarn breaks for six months. The study aims to decrease quality draft defects by applying the grey theory in the traditional FMEA. After analyzing the flow process, 41 potential causes (PC) were found from 12 potential failure modes in 7 areas. There is no significant difference in the top 5 rankings of the RPN assessment on traditional FMEA and grey theory. However, there is a slight difference in ranking on 5 PC. The first priority (RPN= 48; GR=0.588) is in the beam shaft with the creel unaligned in the beam installation (pneumatic piston not parallel). The last priority (RPN= 4; GR=0.857) is a less oiling. This research can recommend an improvement sizing process based on the proposed repairs or maintenance list, using the Grey theory in the FMEA method to decrease the weaving industry defect rate.

Abstract

Abstract[Analysis of Delay in Procurement Process of Cardiovascular Drug in Private Hospitals in Jakarta] Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the world, including Indonesia, with a death rate of 650,000 per year. The timely availability of drugs is a crucial factor in the treatment of this disease. However, many hospitals in Jakarta experience delays in procuring cardiovascular drugs. This study aims to identify factors that cause these delays, including complex bureaucratic processes, lack of coordination between related parties, and limited stock from distributors. The study conducted at a private hospital in Jakarta revealed that stock vacancies at distributors accounted for 35% of the delays. Furthermore, errors in the selection of distributor branches and double ordering also played a significant role in the delays. These delays have a negative impact on the quality of health services and patient safety, as inadequate drug availability can reduce the effectiveness of treatment. For this reason, it is recommended to propose a preventive strategy in handling delays in drug procurement using the FMEA (Failure Mode  and Effect Analysis) approach. From the results of the fishbone diagram, the preparation of preventive strategies is based on the level of risk priority, so that interventions are focused on the causal factors that have the most significant impact and the highest probability of occurrence. Keywords: cardiovascular disease; drug procurement delays; distributor; healthcare quality; inventory management

Abstract

Business competition today does not only occur between individual companies, but also between business networks. Companies are required to not only produce quality products, but also provide significant added value and implement the right strategy to survive in the increasingly fierce competition. An effective strategy includes various aspects, such as planning, production, and delivery of products to consumers, all of which are important parts of supply chain management. This research was conducted at CV. Padaidi Center for Small and Medium Industries (IKM) Furniture Morowali, Central Sulawesi, which is engaged in the production of furniture, including chairs, tables, cabinets, and other products, with the aim of meeting consumer needs and remaining competitive. To achieve this goal, the company needs good supply chain strategy planning, including the identification of risks that may arise and their effective management. This research uses the House of Risk (HOR) method to determine priorities in risk management strategies, while the identification of business activities is carried out using the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) method, which is then continued with risk analysis in each activity. Not many studies have combined the HOR and SCOR methods, and the novelty of this research lies in the combination of the two methods, especially in the IKM Furniture sector. The research identified 19 risk events and 20 risk agents that can affect the smoothness of the supply chain. The results of the research can contribute to designing more effective risk mitigation strategies, in order to improve the resilience and efficiency of the company's supply chain.

Abstract

The hospital is an institution that supports the implementation of health services. Hospitals in Indonesia are very much started from the private and public levels. The number of these hospitals makes it difficult for the community to differentiate between them. The purpose of this study was to obtain customer descriptions of private hospitals and to find out the similarities between the private hospitals that were used as research objects. The method used is Multidimensional Scaling (MDS). MDS is a multiple variable technique that can be used to determine the position of another object based on its similarity assessment. The results of the Multidimensional Scaling analysis map can be seen that the private hospitals Metropolitan Medical Center Hospital and Jakarta Hospital have a level of similarity in the availability of complete medicines because of their close proximity to each other. As for Tebet Hospital, Medistra Hospital, and Mayapada Kuningan Hospital, South Jakarta, they are relatively far from one another, which means that these three hospitals have no resemblance or dissimilarity.

Abstract

The rapid development of the manufacturing industry has contributed to an increase in the level of business competition. A competitive business strategy is needed to answer the challenges of business competition. The manufacturing industry is engaged in the production of consumer goods. Marketing areas that are spread across Indonesia and abroad make supply chain performance in manufacturing companies very important. This leads to the position that manufacturing companies focus more on the production process and the distribution process is handed over to third parties so that it becomes a very important part of the warehouse location selection process that will be used as a distribution center for goods to consumers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of the AHP and TOPSIS methods in supplier selection. The method used is systematic literature review. This tool can be multi-criteria able to be applied to manufacture small industries in the advanced competitive world in an era of destruction. Breaking down these tools will deliver cost reductions, improve service levels and will cover more areas in the supply chain.
