Abstract

Abstract Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood sugar levels due to impaired insulin production, insulin action, or both. Untreated diabetes mellitus can have serious consequences, including decreased foot sensitivity due to diabetic neuropathy. Non-pharmacological interventions such as diabetic foot exercises can be an alternative to improve foot sensitivity and prevent complications.. Based on initial observations of 10 diabetes mellitus sufferers who were willing to be examined, it was found that 70% of respondents experienced decreased sensitivity in their feet with symptoms of tingling, numbness, or reduced ability to feel pressure and heat/cold. This activity aims toThis study aimed to determine the effect of diabetic foot exercises on increasing foot sensitivity in diabetes mellitus patients in Sidorejo Bandongan Village, Magelang Regency. The results of the statistical test used a test analysis.paired t-testif the data is normally distributed and the Wilcoxon test if the data is not normally distributed. The significance value of the right leg shows the valuep-value= 0.096 which means p > 0.05, so it is concluded that there is no significant difference in the sensitivity of the right leg before and after doing foot exercises. The significance value of the left leg shows the valuep-value= 0.130 which means p > 0.05, so it is concluded that there is no significant difference in the sensitivity of the left leg before and after foot exercises.
