Abstract

The phenomenon raised in this research is that poverty is a serious challenge in Malang City, although the level is decreasing. The government focuses on updating welfare data and strengthening education. Factors such as low minimum wages and school dropout rates influence poverty. The study of these factors is important for effective poverty reduction policies in Malang City. This research aims to understand and overcome poverty in Malang City effectively and sustainably. The research method used is qualitative content analysis study by collecting data in the form of content analysis, documentation, and interviews and electronic newspapers in Malang City with the aim of obtaining written or printed information in the mass media. The results obtained from this research activity show that although the percentage of poverty is stable, the absolute number of poor people in Malang City continues to increase from year to year. The upward trend in the poverty line is not always consistent with the percentage of poor people, which highlights the complexity of the social and economic challenges faced by the people of Malang City.

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam kehidupan ini menjadi tua itu pasti, karena setiap manusia tentunya ada masa anak-anak, remaja, dewasa, dan menjadi tua itu sudah keputusan mutlak sebagai manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan 1. pelaksanaan bimbingan sosial bagi lanjut usia di Unit Pelaksana Teknis Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Blitar, 2. menganalisa apa saja yang menjadi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan sosial bagi lanjut usia. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu tahap koleksi, tahap reduksi, tahap penyajian data atau display, tahap penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Dalam penelitian ini uji keabsahan data menggunakan Kredibilitas, Dependabilitas, Konfirmabilitas, Transferability atau keteralihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya peningkatan kemandirian terhadap klien lanjut usia di Unit Pelaksana Teknis Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Blitar dilakukan secara bertahap yaitu dengan memberikan bimbingan sosial secara terjadwal dan rutin. Sistem yang digunakan adalah 1H5MIK yaitu satu hari lima menit satu klien dimana para petugas mendatangi klien satu persatu meskipun hanya dalam waktu lima menit. Dalam upaya ini yang menjadi faktor pendukung adalah jadwal kegiatan, anggaran, instruktur, situasi dan kondisi yakni sasaran berada dalam satu lokasi sehingga memudahkan proses pengaturan program dan jadwal, anggaran dana, adanya isntruktur atau pemateri, dan fasilitas yang memadai. Untuk faktor penghambatnya adalah kondisi fisik klien yang mulai menurun karena umurnya semakin bertambah, faktor dimensia yaitu penyakit yang muncul seiring pertambahan usia, faktor degenaratif yaitu penurunan fungsi organ tubuh dan juga metode pemberian materi yang membosankan. The research results show that efforts to improve the independence of clients elderly in technical unit social services elderly blitar be done in gradually by provides guidance social in regular and routine. A system used is 1H5M1K they are one day five minutes one client where officials come to clients one by one although only in five minutes. Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan memberikan peluang besar untuk mengatasi berbagai tantangan, termasuk dalam membangun pendidikan karakter. Platform seperti Quiziz menawarkan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis game yang tidak hanya meningkatkan motivasi belajar, tetapi juga mendorong pengembangan nilai-nilai karakter. Pada pengabdian masyarakat ini akan disajikan mengenai penerapan Pendidikan Karakter di MINU Kedungcangkring Jabon menggunakan media pembelajaran Quiziz. Pada tahap persiapan, kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah berkoordinasi dengan pimpinan Sekolah tentang rencana pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang dilaksanakan di MINU Kedungcangkring Jabon, survey lokasi, serta mendata jumlah Guru yang menguasai penggunaan Quiziz sebagai pemetaan awal dalam menerapkan media pembelajaran Quiziz untuk memberikan pendidikan karakter kepada Siswa. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Quiziz di MINU Kedungcangkring Jabon berdampak positif terhadap keterlibatan siswa dan pembentukan karakter mereka. Siswa menjadi lebih jujur dalam mengerjakan tugas karena adanya fitur pembatasan waktu dan pertanyaan acak, yang mengurangi peluang terjadinya kecurangan. The use of technology in education provides a great opportunity to overcome various challenges, including in building character education. Platforms such as Quiziz offer a game-based learning approach that not only increases learning motivation but also encourages the development of character values. In this community service, the implementation of Character Education at MINU Kedungcangkring Jabon using Quiziz learning media will be presented. In the preparation stage, the activities carried out were coordinating with the school leadership regarding the plan for implementing Community Service (PkM), which was carried out at MINU Kedungcangkring Jabon, location surveys, and recording the number of teachers who mastered the use of Quiziz as an initial mapping in implementing Quiziz learning media to provide character education to students. The results of the community service show that the implementation of Quiziz at MINU Kedungcangkring Jabon has a positive impact on student engagement and the formation of their character. Students become more honest in doing assignments because of the time limit feature and random questions, which reduce the opportunity for cheating.

Abstract

This study aims to increase understanding of the concept of the meaning of the state symbol using a problem-based learning model assisted by shadow puppets media. The research method uses Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the Kemmis and Mc Taggart PTK models and approaches to quantitative and qualitative data consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were class III students at SDN Gerih 4 for the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation and evaluation test questions. The results of the study show that the use of problem-based learning models assisted by shadow puppets media can improve understanding of the concept of the meaning of national symbols. This is shown by the percentage of completeness in cycle I of 78.57% with an average value of 77.14, an increase in the percentage of completeness in cycle II of 92.85% with an average value of 82.85.

Abstract

Community-based agrotourism is increasingly recognized as a driver of local empowerment, yet its social sustainability dimensions remain underexplored in Southeast Asia. This study evaluates social sustainability at an organic vegetable-picking tourism site in Malang City using eleven indicators derived from the literature: availability, accessibility, connectivity, density, diversity, legibility, safety, versatility, participation, social actions, and equity. Field observations and semi-structured interviews with managers, community members, and visitors revealed strong performance in local participation, diversity of activities, and educational value creation. However, challenges remain in public transport accessibility, digital wayfinding, formalizing collaborations with nearby businesses, and managing peak-period congestion. This study contributes to the literature by operationalizing a multidimensional framework for social sustainability in a peri-urban agrotourism setting and offers practical recommendations to strengthen inclusivity, visitor flow management, and community linkages. The findings demonstrate how such initiatives can advance SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by integrating tourism development with local social objectives.
