Abstract

This article is written to report the result of the writer’s Community Service Program. There are many elementary schools in Desa Setialaksana that does not make English Language a mandatory subject in their school. Whereas in reality, the importance of the English language as the standard language in many sectors has made it necessary for people to learn it especially from a younger age. To handle this situation, a short educational program was made to introduce the English language to the children in Desa Setialaksana. The target of this program was the 3rd grade students in SD Negeri Setialaksana 02. The program itself was held three times over the course of two weeks, during which the children learned basic English vocabulary and engaged in various games to hold their interest. Through this program, the students got to acquire some new basic English vocabularies which helped in introducing them to the English language. The program was able to reach its goal for the students became interested to learn the English language.

Abstract

Fresh graduates are human resources that determine the sustainability of anorganization/company. Psychologically, they should have mature work readiness beforeentering the world of work. This study aims to develop a work readiness scale for freshgraduates. Psychological work readiness is defined as the extent to which graduates areperceived to have the attitudes and attributes that make them ready to succeed in the workenvironment. This scale contains four aspects that support the form of self-readiness forthe world of work, namely resilience/resilience, maturity/maturity, motivation, andinterpersonal skills. Participants in this study were 61 fresh graduates of Bachelor andDiploma programs in all majors with a graduation period of 2019-2021 and not yetworking. The data collection method used is the saturation sampling and snowballsampling technique. The data were analyzed for validity and tested for reliability with theSPSS program. Of the 72 items tested, 24 final items were obtained with an alphareliability of 0.938 and showed good validity. The work readiness scale for fresh graduateshas good psychometric properties and can be used for assessment and research.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore information through case studies related to the management of women's work stress during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method uses a qualitative method with a single instrumental case study approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation and documentation with 3 female entrepreneurs as sources. It can be concluded that the Covid-19 pandemic has had many impacts on all groups, especially a woman who has multiple roles in her life
