Abstract

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic has necessitated the adaptation of daily life, including education, to coexist with the virus, commonly termed the "new normal." This study investigates the implementation of needs assessment activities for counseling programs in Palangka Raya City Public High School during the Covid-19 pandemic era. Interviews with key personnel reveal that while there is recognition of the importance of needs assessment, practical challenges hinder its effective execution. Guidance counselors often resort to using previous years' programs due to difficulties in data collection and analysis, resulting in counseling services that may not align with student needs. To address this, operational guidelines are proposed, emphasizing the utilization of technology for needs analysis activities. Expert and practitioner feedback underscores the importance of adapting assessment models to counselor capabilities and school contexts. Enhancing student-centered needs assessment practices is crucial for improving counseling program efficacy and supporting holistic student development.

Abstract

Observation's purpose and compliance include knowing the implementation of education guidance, stature, coaching, and guidance of child client services in LPKA class II Palangka Raya, understanding the supporting factors and obstacles to implementing guidance in LPKA class II Palangka Raya. The benefits for students open students' insights about guidance services, care, education, and coaching in non-education institutions, namely LPKA class II Palangka Raya. Provide an overview of the service provided in LPKA class II palangka raya. Provide understanding for students that the prospects for tutoring and counseling work are not only limited to educational settings but can also be in other institutions. Benefits for the study program Established cooperation between LPKA class II Palangka Raya with Guidance and Counseling Program of Universitas Palangka Raya. Abstract

Asesmen kebutuhan (need assesment) merupakan kegiatan yang harus dilakukan oleh konselor atau guru BK dalam merencanakan program BK tahunan atau semesteran di sekolah. Asesmen kebutuhan dilakukan agar program BK yang direncanakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan konseli. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuat panduan analisa kebutuhan dalam merencanakan program BK pada di SMA Negeri Kota Palangka Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode mixed method dengan pendekatan research and development (RnD). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan panduan asesmen kebutuhan yang membantu memberikan panduan untuk para konselor atau guru BK disekolah dalam merencanakan program BK di kota Palangka Raya. Panduan Asesmen kebutuhan terdiri dari 3 (tiga) tahap yaitu a) identifikasi data yang dibutuhkan; b) Menentukan instrumen; c) Mengumpulkan, mengolah, menganalisis dan mengintepretasikan data hasil asesmen. Seluruh perencanaan need assessment menggunakan bantuan aplikasi computer meliputi aplikasi browser, google formulir, dan google dokumen. Saran untuk guru BK atau Konselor disekolah diharapkan dapat terampil dalam memanfaatkan teknologi dalam merencanakan program BK di  sekolah.
