Abstract

Marketing allows tourism destinations to attract attention and create attraction for potential tourists, create a positive image, and differentiate themselves from other destinations. Tourism has a strategic role in increasing the economic growth of a region, as well as providing a positive impact on local development. In this article, the object studied is the Bagot Tourism Village which is located in Samosir Regency. The aim of this research is to analyze the marketing mix (product, price, promotion, and place). This research aims to conduct an in-depth study of the marketing mix in Bagot Tourism Village, located in Samosir Regency, by analyzing the 4P marketing mix (products, prices, promotions, and places/distribution channels) in the Bagot Tourism Village. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative analysis methods. Research data was collected by conducting observations in the Bagot Tourism Village and interviews with the head of the POKDARWIS (Kelompok Sadar Wisata) as the manager of the Bagot Tourism Village, as well as documentation studies. The research results show that Bagot Tourism Village as a tourism destination in Samosir Regency in marketing activities pays great attention to the 4Ps (product, price, promotion, and place) especially product, price, and place. There is still room to further improve promotions, especially through social media. Bagot Tourism Village not only sells products, but also plays an active role in introducing and preserving local culinary traditions. This provides significant added value and is one of the main competitive advantages of Bagot Tourism Village.

Abstract

Banking activities are currently growing very rapidly, both in the external environment and the internal banking environment. All of these activities meet with an uncertainty related to the probability of these activities being carried out successfully according to plan or not, so that various kinds of risks arise. The wider range of banking business activities will also be followed by the increasingly complex risks in banking activities. This research aims to analyze the implementation  of risk management to avoid or reduce the impact caused if the risk occurs through qualitative analysis. Descriptive qualitative research aims to describe the application of risk management to mitigate these risks in detail and in depth, so as to obtain an understanding of the context, meaning, and characteristics of the results of the analysis by collecting and analyzing data descriptively. Descriptive qualitative research focuses on an in-depth understanding of a problem without trying to test hypotheses or measure variables quantitatively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi UMKM dalam melakukan ekspansi ekspor, terutama terkait strategi permodalan dan perancangan business plan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa strategi permodalan yang tepat dan business plan yang terstruktur dapat meningkatkan kapasitas ekspor UMKM secara signifikan. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk memperkuat posisi UMKM dalam pasar global.

Abstract

The adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the banking sector has rapidly expanded, because bringing benefits in areas such as risk assesment, fraud detection, and personalized services. However, AI adoption faces significant challenges related to security, regulation, and infrastructure. While previous research has explored AI’s potential, there is a gap in comprehensive studies addresing these core challenges, particularly in emerging markets. This research aims to identify and analyze the main barriers to AI adoption in banking, focusing on security, regulatory issues, and infraastructure readiness. A systematic literature review was conducted, synthesizing findings from academic articles, banking reports, and regulatory guidelines published between 2020 and 2024. The result reveal that concerns over data security, inconsistent regulations, and insuffiecient infrastructure hinder AI’s full potential. The concludes of this research showed banks must prioritize cybersecurity, advocate for clearer regulations, and invest in digital infrastrcuture to ensure the secure AI adoption in banking activities.

Abstract

Generation Z (Gen Z) is characterized by their comfort with technology, which they integrate into various daily activities like communication, education, entertainment, and online shopping. This technological immersion contributes to a more consumerist mindset among Gen Z when engaging in digital transactions, often leading to impulsive buying. Key elements driving this impulsive online behavior include lifestyle choices, promotional offers, and personal self-control. Additionally, societal and environmental pressures can encourage frequent online shopping for Gen Z, suggesting that peer influence might intensify the impact of lifestyle, promotions, and self-control on impulsive purchases. Various studies show that lifestyle, promotion, and self-control each influence impulsive buying, yet it remains unclear whether these variables simultaneously affect impulsive buying and whether peer influence serves as a determining factor in this relationship, particularly among Generation Z in Medan City. This study, conducted in Medan City, aimed to quantitatively assess how lifestyle, promotions, and self-control affect impulsive buying, with peer influence considered as a potential moderating factor. The research utilized a questionnaire as its primary tool, which was validated and found reliable through data quality and statistical tests. The linear regression analysis confirmed that lifestyle, promotions, and self-control each significantly impact impulsive buying. However, the analysis also revealed that peer influence does not act as a moderating variable for the effects of lifestyle, promotions, or self-control on impulsive buying.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Boangmanalu, Kecamatan Salak, Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan daya saing usaha gambir mitra. Selama ini, mitra menghadapi kendala utama pada proses pengepresan getah gambir yang masih menggunakan alat sederhana sehingga kapasitas produksi rendah. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah penyerahan mesin screw press gambir berkapasitas 100 kg getah gambir perjam, disertai dengan pelatihan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi perencanaan, perakitan dan uji coba mesin, serah terima, serta pelatihan teknis dan manajerial. Aspek teknis yang diberikan antara lain penggunaan mesin screw press, teknik perebusan, pengendapan, dan pengeringan getah gambir sesuai standar mutu. Sementara itu, aspek manajerial meliputi pelatihan pengemasan produk, pemasaran melalui marketplace (Shopee), pendampingan dalam pengurusan izin berusaha, serta penyusunan analisis SWOT sebagai strategi pengembangan usaha. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mitra mampu mengoperasikan mesin screw press dengan baik, memahami prosedur produksi gambir yang berkualitas, serta memiliki keterampilan tambahan dalam pemasaran digital dan legalitas usaha. Melalui kegiatan ini, kapasitas produksi gambir meningkat signifikan, mutu produk menjadi lebih terstandar, dan mitra memiliki strategi usaha yang lebih jelas. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan produktivitas, daya saing, serta kesejahteraan mitra dan masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat, Sumatera Utara, memiliki potensi besar dalam produksi kopi Arabika karena kondisi geografis yang mendukung. Namun, kelompok tani kopi masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, antara lain proses pengupasan yang masih manual dengan kapasitas hanya ±10 kg/jam, pemanfaatan limbah kopi yang belum optimal, serta pemasaran yang masih konvensional tanpa merek dan akses digital. Permasalahan tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya produktivitas, tingginya beban kerja, serta terbatasnya nilai tambah yang diperoleh petani. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan kapasitas dan kemandirian Kelompok Tani Sadar Ingin Maju melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna, pemanfaatan limbah kopi menjadi produk bernilai tambah, serta strategi pemasaran digital. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan mitra sebagai aktor utama dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi program. Tiga solusi utama ditawarkan, yaitu: (1) penyediaan mesin pengupas biji kopi berkapasitas 100 kg/jam untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi; (2) pelatihan pengolahan limbah kopi menjadi pupuk organik dan pakan ternak; serta (3) pelatihan pemasaran digital berbasis marketplace seperti Shopee. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan efisiensi pengupasan, pengurangan limbah yang terbuang, terciptanya keterampilan baru dalam pengolahan limbah, serta perluasan akses pasar melalui pemasaran digital. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan produktivitas, keberlanjutan usaha, dan kesejahteraan petani kopi di Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat
