Abstract

The purpose of writing this review article is to determine the formulation analysis and evaluation of the use of various additional ingredients in effervescent tablets. The method used is a literature review originating from journals and other research results from various references regarding the formulation and evaluation of additional ingredients in various types of effervescent tablets. This aims to provide a summary of relevant publications and increase current understanding. Formulation and evaluation of additional ingredients in effervescents are important aspects that need to be considered in product development. Decisions regarding the use of additives should be based on the desired purpose, desired physical characteristics, stability, and consumer acceptability. With a good understanding of the formulation and evaluation, high quality effervescent tablets can be produced. The use of a variety of additional ingredients can provide different taste and texture characteristics to effervescent, which can affect consumer acceptability.

Abstract

Cosmetics have varied purposes, including cleansing, increasing brightness, changing appearance, and protecting or maintaining certain conditions. The applicable cosmetics regulations are explained in the BPOM provisions, which mandate registration before cosmetics can be used by consumers. In this research, the results of two literature reviews are presented that support this statement. The first study by (Chandra Adi Gunawan Putra, 2023) shows that the need for state involvement in protecting consumers arises because of the power imbalance between business actors and consumers. The second study by (Ribka Amanda Dera, 2019) the regulation of cosmetic products has been regulated by BPOM number 12 of 2020 article 2 paragraph 1 which emphasizes that cosmetics producers must ensure that their products which will be distributed both domestically and abroad meet the criteria, safety and security standards. benefits, quality marking, and claims. The results of both studies show that the importance of terms and conditions related to cosmetics are under law and regulated in the Republic of Indonesia Constitution, the Health Law, provisions issued by the Minister of Health and decisions taken by the Head of the Republic of Indonesia Food and Drug Supervisory Agency and in BPOM regulations starting from formulation to product withdrawal. So that any party who commits an illegal act by producing or distributing pharmaceutical or cosmetic products without a permit will receive applicable sanctions in accordance with legal provisions.

Abstract

Sterilization is a process that aims to remove all forms of microbial life, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores, from an object or surface. This process is very important in various fields, such as medicine, laboratories, food industry, and pharmaceuticals, to prevent infection and contamination. This article was written through a literature review of articles originating from international and national journals. Data searches were carried out through scientific-based websites and databases, namely Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed. The results show that of various sterilization methods such as autoclave, oven, ozone, filtration, steam, 70% alcohol, UV radiation and gamma rays, each has different effectiveness in killing microorganisms, and each method has advantages and disadvantages. . The conclusion of this article provides a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of various sterilization methods used in laboratory and industrial contexts. Various techniques, such as autoclave, oven, ozone, filtration, steam, 70% alcohol, UV radiation and gamma rays.

Abstract

The smoking habit among teenagers has become a serious health issue, with prevalence continually increasing. Smoking at a young age is associated with various health risks, including cancer, heart disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. One of the main contributing factors is peer influence and social environment. To reduce smoking habits, innovative approaches are needed, one of which is using innovative candies as an alternative to cigarettes. This study aims to analyze the potential of innovative candies in reducing smoking habits among teenagers. The method used is qualitative research with a literature review, collecting relevant scientific journal articles. The results indicate that candies such as Xylitol chewing gum, milk candy, cinnamon extract, and Vernonia cinerea extract can effectively reduce the frequency of smoking by providing a similar sensation without the negative effects of nicotine. Additionally, these candy products also have added benefits, such as improving oral and respiratory health. In conclusion, innovative candies can be a creative and effective solution to reduce smoking habits among teenagers, but further research is needed to assess their sustainability and long-term effects.
