Abstract

AbstrakAdanya pandemi COVID-19 memaksa sektor pendidikan untuk beradaptasi dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Pembelajaran dalam bentuk daring dilakukan sebagai salah satu bentuk inovasi pada sektor pendidikan. Perancangan desain karakter virtual youtuber bertujuan untuk menghibur dalam kegiatan pembelajaran menggambar agar meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik Ketika melakukan pembelajaran daring. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kombinasi antara metode penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Untuk metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu, wawancara, observasi, kuesioner dan studi pustaka. Hasil akhir dari perancangan desain karakter Virtual YouTuber ini berupa animasi terbatas, yang digerakkan menggunakan bantuan face tracking agar karakter dapat terlihat seolah-olah hidup dan dapat berinteraksi secara langsung dengan penontonnya. Penggunaan Virtual YouTuber sebagai maskot untuk menggantikan manusia dalam proses penyampaian materi pelajaran menggambar di UKM Luminosus Animation terbukti efektif dilakukan oleh penulis. Hubungan antara pengajar dan pelajar menjadi lebih interaktif selama kegiatan pembelajaran menggambar dilaksanakan. Kata Kunci: COVID-19, Face Tracking, Pembelajaran, Virtual YouTuber AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic forced the education sector to adapt to teaching and learning activities. Learning in online form is done as a form of innovation in the education sector. The final result of the design of this work aims to entertain in drawing learning activities at UKM Luminosus Animation. The research method used by the author is a combination research method, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The method of data collection conducted by the author in the form of interviews, observations, questionnaires and literature studies. The final result of designing a Virtual YouTuber character design is a limited animation, which is driven using the help of face tracking so that the character can look as if alive and can interact directly with his audience. The use of Virtual YouTubers as mascots to replace humans in the process of delivering drawing subject matter at UKM Luminosus Animation proved effectively done by the author. The relationship between teachers and students becomes more interactive during drawing learning activities. Keywords: COVID-19, Face Tracking, Learning, Virtual YouTuber.

Abstract

Abstrak Industri kreatif menjadi salah satu pilar utama pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia, khususnya di Kota Bandung. Oleh karena itu, Kampung Wisata Kreatif telah dihadirkan oleh Pemerintah Kota Bandung sebagai upaya pengembangan pariwisata dengan konsep Community Based Tourism (CBT), salah satunya adalah KWKC (Kampung Wisata Kreatif Cigadung). KWKC merupakan kawasan wisata kreatif dan seni budaya dengan konsep CBT yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Cigadung, Bandung. Meskipun KWKC telah memiliki website resmi, hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa website tersebut masih memiliki kekurangan pada tiga aspek desain user interface, yaitu tema website yang kurang menarik, tampilan informasi yang kurang informatif, serta fitur yang belum memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Maka dari itu, perancangan ulang user interface website KWKC dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode user-centered design (UCD) agar manfaat website dapat lebih optimal. Aspek yang diperbaiki meliputi redesain tema website, tampilan informasi yang lebih baik, dan penambahan fitur baru. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan ulang user interface dan survei akhir kepada pengguna, 96% responden menyetujui bahwa desain visual yang baru secara keseluruhan lebih menarik, serta 93% responden menyetujui bahwa desain baru lebih menarik dan informatif dibandingkan desain sebelumnya.   Kata Kunci: community based tourism, metode UCD, web design, UI UX   Abstract The creative industry is one of the main pillars of Indonesia's economic growth, especially in the city of Bandung. Therefore, the Bandung City Government has introduced the Creative Tourism Village as an effort to develop tourism with the Community Based Tourism (CBT) concept, one of which is KWKC (Cigadung Creative Tourism Village). KWKC is a creative and cultural tourism area with a CBT concept located in Cigadung Village, Bandung. Even though KWKC has an official website, survey results show that the website still has shortcomings in three aspects of user interface design: a less attractive website theme, less informative information displays, and features that do not meet user needs. Therefore, the user interface of the KWKC website was redesigned using the user-centered design (UCD) method to optimize the website's benefits. The improvements included a redesign of the website theme, a better display of information, and the addition of new features. Based on the results of the user interface redesign and a final user survey, 96% of respondents agreed that the new visual design was overall more attractive, and 93% of respondents agreed that the improved design was more informative and engaging than the previous design.   Keywords:  community based tourism, UCD method, web design, UI UX

Abstract

The meaning of colors has been widely researched in various disciplines. In design, understanding the contextual meaning of color influences design decisions and, hence, is important design information. This research aimed to compile information about the meaning of colors that can be used as design information in design tools so that users can choose the right color palette. This research used a qualitative approach by conducting a contextual document review of reference books about color. Data collection was carried out by identifying relevant data regarding the meaning of colors. The data collected included color association, positive-negative meanings, and cultural links. Although the information derived from these three sources varied in terms of information themes, we could observe some consistent meanings shared by the sources. This research output can be implemented as design information in design tools such as web-based color palette generation applications, graphic design tools and others. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide comprehensive guidance in choosing an appropriate color palette based on the meaning of the colors contained.
