Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Model-Eliciting Activities (MEAs) for learning mathematics based on students’ initial mathematical abilities and school origin. It was conducted at SDN Batujajar 3, SDN Sukamaju and SDS Yayasan Beribu by using a quantitative research approach. The research method used the survey method and Two Ways ANOVA test analysis to determine the relationship between students; initial mathematics learning outcomes, students’ origin school, and students’ initial mathematical abilities with a sample of 81 students. In this study, it was found that in learning using the Model-Eliciting Activities there were differences in students’ mathematics learning outcomes based on students’ school origin, students’ mathematics learning outcomes based on students’ initial mathematical abilities, and there was an interaction between school origin and students’ initial mathematical abilities in determining mathematics learning outcomes. In addition, the interaction that occurred shows that SDS Yayasan Beribu had better than SDN Batujajar 3 and SDN Sukamaju.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a crucial role in shaping students' moral and religious understanding. However, the extent to which external demographic factors, such as gender and school background, influence PAI learning outcomes remains debatable. This study aims to analyze the impact of gender and school background on students' PAI learning outcomes. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing descriptive statistical analysis and Two-Way ANOVA to examine significant differences based on the studied variables. The findings indicate that neither gender nor school background significantly affects students' PAI learning outcomes. The normality test confirmed that the data followed a normal distribution, while the homogeneity test showed that the data did not have equal variance. The Two-Way ANOVA results further revealed no significant interaction effect between gender and school background on learning outcomes. These results suggest that internal factors, such as teaching methods and student engagement, have a more substantial influence on PAI learning effectiveness than demographic variables. Therefore, educators should focus on developing innovative and adaptive learning strategies to enhance PAI learning outcomes, rather than relying on external factors like gender or school environment.

Abstract

This article aims to see whether there is a significant relationship or influence on students’ learning motivation towards Islamic religious education at MTs Arrukhshatul 'Ulum West Bandung with heterogeneous social, cultural, and cognitive factors of students using quantitative research. The research method used was a survey method with correlation analysis to see the relationship between the independent variables, namely students’ motivation, and the dependent variable, namely students’ learning outcomes, using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The population of this research was class IX students at MTs Arrukhshatul 'Ulum, with a sample of 30 students. The research instruments in this study used questionnaires and tests. Testing of the data analysis requirements consisted of normality tests and linearity tests with the hypotheses used, namely correlation and regression tests. From the research conducted, it was found that the data of the student’s learning motivation and students’ learning outcomes using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model is usually distributed and has a strong correlation with the strength of the coefficient with a Correlation Coefficient value of 0.952. Besides that, an interaction between learning motivation and learning outcomes of 90.5 % and the other 9.5% are influenced by external factors. Because the data is normally distributed, it is continued with a regression test, which produces data that meets the linearity criteria with the regression equation Y=32.758+0.653X.

Abstract

This research analyzes student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education based on student gender. This research used a quantitative approach which was carried out at SMPN 1 Wanayasa, SMPN 2 Parongpong, and SMP Unggulan Al Amin. The method in this research uses the survey method and Analysis of Variance test with a population of 1013 sample students with 31 students at SMPN 1 Wanayasa, 32 students at SMPN 2 Parongpong, and 32 students at SMP Unggulan Al Amin with a total of 95 students based on purposive techniques example. This research instrument uses tests that have been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty index, and distinguishing power by testing the data analysis requirements consisting of normality tests using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk. In this research, it can be concluded that there are differences in the learning outcomes of students in Islamic Religious Education whose learning uses the problem logging model and the interaction between the problem position model which is viewed based on the gender of the students. Still, between male and female students there is no significant difference or can is said to tend to be the same in Islamic Religious Education learning. This is proven by the significance values for the data variables school, gender, and school*gender of 0.000, 0.062, and 0.008.
