Abstract

Santri merupakan generasi muda yang memiliki peran penting dalam perkembangan dan masa depan di berbagai sektor. Limbah makanan yang melimpah dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pakan maggot yang nantinya dapat menambah keterampilan santri dalam mengolah limbah dan mengasah jiwa Entrepreneur. Hasil dari budidaya maggot dapat dijual sebagai pakan ternak dan pakan ikan yang mengandung nilai gizi yang tinggi. Penyuluhan Kegiatan ini dilakukan di awal kegiatan untuk memberikan gambaran secara menyeluruh terkait kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan dan memberikan pengetahuan tentang teknologi mengolah limbah berbasis budidaya maggot. Kegiatan ini melibatkan seluruh santri putra dan santri putri, pengasuh pondok pesantren Al-Ikhsan, penyuluh lapang Desa Beji. Kegiatan dilakukan di pondok pesantren Al-Ikhsan. Berdasarkan hasil pengisian kuisioner yang dilakukan sebelum kegiatan penyuluhan diketahui bahwa 99% santri tidak mengetahui pengetahuan budidaya maggot dalam pengolahan limbah organik rumah tangga yang juga memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. 1% santri mengetahui akan tetapi pengetahuan tersebut sebatan jenis serangga yang dapat mengolah sampah organik, belum mengetahui cara budidaya yang tepat. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan 100% santri dapat memahami cara budidaya maggot secara tepat. Peningkatan keterampilan santri nampak pada keberhasilan telur maggot menetas dan pembesaran maggot.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ikhsan Beji, Kabupaten Banyumas telah dilaksanakan dengan baik, diikuti oleh santri putra dan santri putri. Tujuan kegiatan untuk mengembangkan jiwa wirausaha santri sehingga dapat menambah skill dan kemampuan santri bisa dikatakan berhasil karena keterlibatan para santri terjadi sejak awal proses budidaya hingga pemanenan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of salicylic acid in inhibiting the growth of Rhizoctonia solani in vitro and to determine the effect of salicylic acid in increasing rice plants' resistance to rice sheath blight disease. In the in vitro research stage, the antifungal activity of salicylic acid was assayed with 5 levels of concentration. The observed variable was the percentage of R. solani mycelium growth inhibition. The next stage of research was carried out in planta. The observed variables in the resistance assay were the pathosystem, growth, morphological, and physiological components. Based on the observed variables of pathosystem components, salicylic acid can reduce the intensity of rice sheath blight both on an in vitro and in planta. Based on observations of morphological and physiological components, the salicylic acid was able to increase plant resistance by thickening of the leaf epidermis and increase the phenolic compounds.

Abstract

Chrysanthemum is a strategic floriculture commodity to be developed. The growth and production of flowers is influenced by many factors including growing media and fertilization. This study aims to examine the effect of variations in planting media and concentrations of foliar fertilizer on the growth and yield of chrysanthemum. The study was conducted in a Completely Randomized Block Design with three replications. Treatment of planting media consisted of cow manure: husk charcoal: bamboo leaf humus (1:1:1), cow manure: husk charcoal: cocopeat (1:1:1), and cow manure: husk charcoal. : wood sawdust compost (1:1:1). Treatment of foliar fertilizer concentrations consisted of control (0 g/l); 2 g/l; 4 g/l; and 6 g/l. The data obtained were analyzed using the F test, if there was a significant variation, then proceed with the DMRT test at ? 5%. The results showed that the planting media treatment of cow manure: husk charcoal: bamboo leaf humus, had a better effect than other media, indicated by the variables of plant height, crown diameter, stem diameter, number of branches, number of flowers, flower diameter, flower initiation time, flower coloring time, and harvest time. The application of foliar fertilizer with doses of 6 g/l, 4 g/l, and 2 g/l gave higher yields of flowers than the control. A good combination treatment for flower yields was found in the combination of cow manure: husk charcoal: bamboo leaf humus planting media and leaf fertilizer concentration of 4 g/l which produced the highest number of flowers, while for growth was the combination of cow manure : husk charcoal: bamboo leaf humus planting media and leaf fertilizer concentration 2 g/l; cow manure: husk charcoal: cocopeat and leaf fertilizer concentration of 4 g/l; as well as cow manure: husk charcoal: cocopeat and the concentration of foliar fertilizer 6 g/l which gave the higher number of leaves.
