Abstract

In this study, data were collected from various relevant studies and analyzed in relation to the patterns of vitamin D consumption among subjects experiencing hair loss. Vitamin D plays a crucial role in the process of cell regeneration and the regulation of the hair growth cycle. As a result, a deficiency in this vitamin can contribute to conditions like alopecia. Using a literature review research method, information sources were obtained from academic databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and JSTOR. The collected data were analyzed to identify common patterns, study conclusions, and variability in results. This review indicates a significant association between vitamin D deficiency and increased hair loss, as well as the potential benefits of vitamin D supplementation in individuals with this deficiency.

Abstract

Deviant behavior is the result of an imperfect socialization process. Among teenagers, deviant behavior is often found. During adolescence, there are changes in brain structure related to emotions, judgment, behavioral organization, and self-control. There are three phases of adolescence, namely early adolescence (10-13 years old), middle adolescence (14-17 years old), and late adolescence (18-24 years old). Adolescents are prone to deviant behavior due to high curiosity, being easily influenced by the environment, wanting to stand out, wanting to be rebellious to parents, relieving boredom and stress, and unstable behavior. Deviant behavior that often occurs in adolescents is promiscuity, LGBT, and brawls. Deviant behavior has religious, social, and health impacts. Therefore, it is necessary to socialize adolescents about this deviant behavior. Socialization carried out in the form of counseling to students.

Abstract

Exclusive breast milk (ASI) is breastfeeding as early as possible after delivery which is given without a schedule and is not given any other additional food or drinks until the age of 6 months. The success of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by many factors, both internal and external. . Internal factors include mother's age, nutritional status, and education level, while external factors are knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding, health workers and the mass media. To find out the description of the knowledge and attitudes of breastfeeding mothers towards correct breastfeeding techniques in the Working Area of the Air Cold Health Center. The scope of this research is breastfeeding mothers who have children aged 0-24 months. The research was conducted in December- January 2022. The type of research is descriptive. The study population was breastfeeding mothers who had children aged 0-24 months with a total of 200 samples using the consecutive sampling technique. Univariate data analysis was presented in the form of a frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Kruskall-Wallis test, data processing using the computerized SPSS program IBM version 25.0. Research shows that mother's knowledge is 73% high and mother's attitude is 86.5%. These results indicate that the majority of breastfeeding mothers in the Air Cold Health Center Work Area have high knowledge and a positive attitude.

Abstract

The family is considered a fundamental institution that plays an important role in the formation of individuals, especially during the challenging teenage years. When one of the parents is not present, there is an imbalance in psychological development. Fatherless becomes interesting in relation to the unequal parenting of parents. Where the absence of a father in a teenager's life can be caused by the death or divorce of parents, resulting in children not being able to feel the love or presence of a father and experiencing emotional, intellectual and social problems in their lives. This research aims to determine the effect of fatherlessness on the self-control of adolescents who have lost the role of fathers both psychologically and socially. The method used in this research is a literature review.

Abstract

Abstract

Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is a urological disorder characterized by the backflow of urine from the bladder into the ureter or kidney. It often causes recurrent urinary tract infections and may lead to renal damage. Radiological modalities, particularly CT urography and VCUG, play a key role in establishing the diagnosis. A 7-year-old boy presented with fever and recurrent urinary tract infections. CT urography revealed severe hydronephrosis and hydroureter on the right side, consistent with VUR. The patient was treated conservatively with prophylactic antibiotics and regular monitoring of renal function. Clinical improvement was achieved with conservative therapy. The prognosis is favorable with early diagnosis and long-term follow-up. Radiological imaging is essential for diagnosing VUR and guiding management. Conservative treatment with careful monitoring can provide good outcomes in pediatric patients.

Abstract

Antibiotic self-medication (ASM) is a significant public health concern that contributes to antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The role of educational attainment in shaping community practices related to ASM remains inconsistent across studies. To review empirical evidence on the prevalence of ASM in Southeast Asia and Indonesia, to analyze the association between educational level and ASM practices, and to formulate evidence-based educational intervention recommendations. A narrative literature review with a systematic approach was conducted by identifying secondary studies (systematic reviews and meta-analyses) and empirical national/regional studies published in English or Indonesian between 2010 and 2025. Searches were performed in accessible databases and institutional repositories. The review focused on ASM prevalence, associated determinants (including educational level), and educational intervention strategies. Detailed search strategies and inclusion criteria are described in the Methods section. Systematic evidence indicates that ASM remains highly prevalent in Southeast Asia. In Indonesia, widespread access to antibiotics without prescription persists, alongside variability in the association between educational level and ASM practices. Several studies and meta-analyses report that higher educational attainment is associated with reduced odds of antibiotic misuse in certain contexts; however, this association is not consistent across regions. Other determinants—including access to medications, storage of leftover antibiotics, the role of pharmacies, socioeconomic status, and health literacy also play substantial roles. Educational level influences antibiotic use practices; however, interventions that target formal education alone may be insufficient. Contextualized health education interventions integrating regulatory enforcement on antibiotic distribution, pharmacist training, and community-based awareness campaigns—are more likely to effectively reduce ASM and mitigate AMR progression.
