Abstract

The reasons why people travel have changed in recent years, and now alternative tourism and tourist villages are preferred over mass tourism. The concept of this tourist village emerged in Indonesia and presents interesting tourist offerings, one of which is the Batulayang tourism village in Bogor, West Java. The goal of this study is to examine the implementation of criteria in the Batulayang tourism village in Bogor, West Java, as well as the classification of the tourist village there. Purposive sampling was used in conjunction with descriptive methodology as the research design for this study. The data was collected from respondents, all of whom were tourists at Batulayang tourism village. Descriptive analysis was used to examine the information using frequency tabulation and scatter. The findings of this study show that, in accordance with recommendations from the Ministry of Tourism, Batulayang has largely implemented the requirements for a tourist village.ABSTRAKAlasan wisatawan bepergian telah berubah dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, dan sekarang pariwisata alternatif seperti desa wisata lebih disukai daripada pariwisata massal. Konsep desa wisata ini bermuncul di tanah air dan menghadirkan sajian wisata yang menarik, salah satunya desa wisata Batulayang di Bogor, Jawa Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji penerapan kriteria di desa wisata Batulayang Bogor, Jawa Barat, serta menganalsisa klasifikasi desa wisata tersebut. Purposive sampling digunakan bersama dengan metodologi kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif sebagai desain penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan dari responden yang merupakan pengunjung di Desa Wisata Batulayang. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menguji informasi menggunakan tabulasi frekuensi dan pencar. Temuan studi ini menunjukkan bahwa sesuai dengan rekomendasi dari Kementerian Pariwisata, Batulayang sebagian besar telah menerapkan persyaratan desa wisata.

Abstract

Cilember Tourism Village is a tourist destination in the administrative area of Cilember Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency. Cilember Tourism Village was initiated in early 2015 by the Cilember Village community tourism awareness group. In its development, Cilember Tourism Village still experiences various obstacles in realizing a sustainable tourism village, including related to the lack of understanding of tourism village managers regarding village governance. This community service is carried out with the aim of providing an understanding of tourism village governance. The target of this community service is the manager of the Cilember Tourism Village. The method of implementing community service used is by using lectures, discussions and practices. The results of community service were obtained, that the participants of the activity easily understood the training material provided. Participants in the activity also gave assessments to community service implementers who were able to accommodate questions and discussions carried out. The suggestion from this activity is the need for additional time for activities and imitation study activities to villages that have developed and implemented good governance. The suggestion for the next training activity is to increase the capacity of homestay governance in tourist villages.
