Abstract

Abstract

One of the plants known as herbal medicine in Central Java is Brambutan or Rambusa. This research conducted on experimental animal using ethanol extract of rambusa leaf (Passiflora foetida L.) which has an anti-inflammation effect on reducing edema. The carrageenan used-induced feet edema was 1 % and animal subjects were grouped into 5 categories for different treatments, namely the administration of 1 % colloidal Na-CMC solution, diclofenac sodium solution, ethanol extract with various doses of 250 mg/kg body weight, 500 mg/kg body weight, and 750 mg/kg body weight given orally. By the time after 1 hour, the edema volume on mice feet measured until 6 hours. The data showed that the 1 % Na-CMC colloidal solution given did not affect the percentage of edema reduction (0 %), the subject group was given 250 mg/kg body weight and 500 mg/kg body weight showed a decrease level of edema (0.01 %), the group was given 750 mg/kg body weight decreased edema (0.02 %), and diclofenac sodium solution group showed decrease level of edema (0.04 %). In this study, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of rambusa leaf (Passiflora foetida L.) has the highest anti-inflammation and anti-inflammation effect at a dose variation of 750 mg/kg body weight with a 0.02 % reduction in edema

Abstract

Trembesi (Samanea saman) is a fast-growing plant from Central America and Northern South America. the Trembesi Tree is an easily recognize tree because it has an umbrella-shaped canopy with a canopy diameter greater than its height, the trembesi fruit is blackish-brown when ripe, with seeds embedded in the flesh of the fruit. This study aims to determine the class of compounds contained in the ethanol extract of trembesi fruit seeds extraction by maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent. The analysis uses univariates that present data with calculation results. The extract results were obtained by weight of 91% with an amendment value of 18.20%. The phytochemical screening were carried out with color tests and emphasized by the TLC test. The trembesi fruit seed ethanol extract containing alkaloid, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins compounds.

Abstract

Preface : Moringa oleifera L. is one plant that contains secondary metabolite compounds such as alkaloids, steroids, tannins, saponins, anthraquinones, terpenoids, and flavonoids. Flavonoids donate their hydroxyl groups to inhibit free radicals. Purpose :This study aimed to isolate flavonoid compounds from Moringa leaf ethanol extract. Method : Extraction was carried out by maceration method and continued isolation using Column Chromatography method with n-butanol: acetic acid: water (4: 1: 5) eluent. Isolate results were identified by TLC, spectro, and FTIR. Result : FTIR analysis on fraction 5 contains flavonoid derivative compounds. Conclusion : It is flavonols with a purity of quercetin of 77.99%.

Abstract

Abstract: The high incidence of hypertension in Indonesia is not followed by patient compliance in taking medication. The determinant of successful therapy is compliance with medication use. Low compliance levels cause problems such as increasing rates of chronic diseases and their complications. In 2019, the Tawangsari Sukoharjo Health Center was ranked eighth in Sukoharjo Regency with the largest number of hypertension patients, namely 1,583 people. This study aims to determine the relationship between drug compliance and the success of therapy in hypertension patients at the outpatient installation of Tawaangsari Health Center, Sukoharjo. This study is a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection was carried out using a purposive sampling method using the ASK-12 questionnaire in hypertensive patients who met the inclusion criteria. The research data were analyzed using chi-square statistics. The results showed that patients with high compliance were 45.7% while low compliance was 54.3%. The success rate of therapy was 55.7% of patients succeeded and 44.3% of patients failed. The results of the chi-square test showed a P value of 0.026 (P <0.05), which means that there is a relationship between compliance and the success of antihypertensive therapy in outpatient settings at the Tawangsari Health Center Keywords: Compliance level ; antihypertensive therapy ; therapeutic success

Abstract

Stunting is a health problem that has an impact on inhibiting physical, mental, and health growth of children. Data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Sukoharjo District in 2023, the prevalence of stunting in the Sukoharjo area reached 24.3%. The Cemani area is included in one of the sub-districts in the Sukoharjo area. When viewed from the description of the problem, it is necessary to handle it through a community service program that aims to improve community understanding and skills in processing local fish into healthy food as an effort to prevent stunting. Community service activities were carried out at the Nusa Idah Posyandu Center, Cemani, which consisted of several stages such as planning, implementation, pre-test, socialization, product demonstration, Q&A and post-test. The results of the community service activities were that the activities ran smoothly with 37 participants attending. The question and answer session showed that participants were interested in the demonstration of the use of local food ingredients as a solution to prevent stunting. In addition, the community service carried out was able to increase community understanding as evidenced by the average pre-test score of 71.25 to a post-test score of 81.76. Based on the description, it can be concluded that the community service program carried out was successful in increasing the understanding and skills of the community in Cemani Village.
