Abstract

Pest and disease attacks on plants are very detrimental factors for farmers. Lack of knowledge leads to a difficult diagnosis of attacks and slow control. The technology that can help farmers in diagnosing plant pests and diseases is the expert system. One of the most widely used algorithms is forward chaining. Although there have been many used further research is needed to determine the effectiveness of this method. This research wants to find out more advantages, types of platforms used, and benefits of expert systems with forward chaining algorithms. This study uses a systematic method literature review (SLR) to collect, assess, and analyze data systematically from various scientific articles. The results of the study show that the use of forward chaining has advantages and benefits for developers and farmers.

Abstract

Abstract

Indications of pest and disease attacks during plant growth cause a decrease in fruit quality. Fungi cause local or systemic symptoms in their host, and these symptoms may occur separately in different hosts, simultaneously in the same host, or one following the other in the same host. Diagnosis and identification of pathogens on a laboratory scale in kepok banana plants in Ngada Regency have not been conducted. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the pathogens causing various disease symptoms in banana plants so that it can serve as preliminary data for further research related to pathogen disease management and information for farmers. This research aims to inventory and identify pathogens causing diseases in banana plants. This research method uses a survey method (purposive sampling) and observation in the plant disease laboratory. The results found several pathogens associated with kepok banana plants, namely Fusarium wilt disease (Fusarium oxysporum and Fusarium graminearum) and bacterial wilt disease (Pseudomonas solanacearum and Ralstonia solanacearum).

Abstract

Rice plants frequently encounter both biotic and abiotic stress because the nation is tropical. Through the application of ecologically friendly technology, the sustainability of diminishing rice production can be addressed. Trichoderma spp. microorganisms used in biopriming may be able to address the issues that come up. The purpose of the research is to determine how bio priming using Trichoderma spp. affects the viability and vigor of seeds from several rice varieties. (Oryza sativa L.). This study employs an experimental approach with a Completely Randomized approach (CRD) factorial design that includes two factors: the rice variety and the concentration of Trichoderma spp. Two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to analyze the data. The findings of the study show that seed vigor and viability are significantly impacted by biopriming with Trichoderma spp. For the Kusuma 05 rice variety, the treatment with Trichoderma spp. at a 30% concentration showed the largest increase in each variable.
