Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous effect of LEGO games and the use of block media on fine motor development in group B children at the Dharma Wanita Unity Kindergarten, Gilik Village, Kawo. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest experimental approach. The subjects in this study were the children of Group B Kindergarten of the Dharma Wanita Association of Gilik, Kawo Village, which consisted of 15 children. Data collection in the study was carried out using observation methods, documentation, and multiple linear regression analysis techniques, namely the normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that in hypothesis 1, the tcount was 12.191 > ttable 2.179, then Ha was accepted, which means lego games positively influence fine motor development. Then hypothesis 2 tcount 9.597 > ttable 2.179, then Ha is accepted, which means there is a positive effect of using block media on fine motor development. Hypothesis 3: fcount 115.304 > ftable 3.81, which means H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect of LEGO games and the use of block media on fine motor development in group B children in Kindergarten Dharma Wanita Unity Gilik, Kawo Village. The implications of this research are expected for educators to be able to apply LEGO games and block media to improve children's fine motor development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the storytelling model in the Sasak community as an effort to develop the character of early childhood. Storytelling, as one of the local cultural traditions that has existed for a long time, has great potential in shaping character and instilling moral values in children. In the context of the Sasak community, folk tales and legends that are passed down orally contain important messages about kindness, honesty, courage, and responsibility. This study uses a quantitative survey approach with interview techniques and distributing questionnaires to parents, educators, and Sasak community leaders. The results of the study indicate that storytelling not only functions as a means of entertainment, but also as an effective method in children's character education, especially in introducing social and cultural values. In addition, children's active participation in listening to and discussing these stories strengthens their understanding of the norms that apply in society. This study concludes that the integration of the storytelling model in early childhood education can play an important role in children's character development, while maintaining the sustainability of local culture that is the identity of the Sasak community.
