Abstract

The background of this research is to identify or determine the ability to analyze the character analysis of the characters in the film translation Split by M. Night Shymalayan in Semester VI Students of Indonesian Language Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education in the 2022/2023 academic year. The number of samples in this study is 27 people, class B consisted of 24 girls and 6 boys. Data collection was used, namely test sheets and observation sheets. Then, the data analysis used in this study was the Quantitative Description technique, because the data studied were in the form of technical figures for student learning outcomes by identifying or determining the characters in the Split translation film by M. Night Shymalayan by using a certain formula. The results showed that the students' ability to analyze the characters of M. Night Shymalayan's Split translation film character in sixth-semester students of Indonesian language education experienced differences in every aspect that was assessed. The results of data analysis show that the average score obtained or achieved by class B students in the sixth semester of Indonesian language education obtained an average score of 69.26% with a total percentage of 2.57% in the good category. This means that the split translation film media helps students to identify the character analysis skills of M. Night Shymalayan's split translation film characters.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the main character's resistance to racism in Theodore Melfi's film Hidden Figures. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, as a research procedure that can produce descriptive data that can be in the form of written or spoken words from people with observable behavior. Qualitative descriptive research aims to make a systematic, factual, and accurate description, description, or painting of facts and characteristics, as well as the relationship between things being investigated. The techniques in data analysis used in this study are 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation, and 3) verification. The results obtained describe the existence of racial discrimination and the attitudes of the main character of the film Hidden Figures' resistance to discrimination which is divided into 6 parts, namely: 1) Racial Justification, 2) Classification Based on Skin Color in Place Settings, 3) Racism in Facilities General Black/Skin, 4) Unpleasant Treatment and, 5) Promote Equality.

Abstract

Permainan bulutangkis di wilayah Tandassura Polman Mandar dikenal dengan baik oleh masyarakat luas mapun disekolah termasuk Siswa SMP Negeri Tandassura Polewali Mandar, namun perkembangannya belum memperlihatkan prestasi yang memadai dan mengalami pasang surut, hal ini terlihat dari penguasaan gerak dalam permainan baik secara umum maupun secara khusus, demikian pula disekolah menengah belum begitu berkembang dengan baik dan dari segi saran dan prasarana khususnya disekolah SMP Negeri Satap Tandassura Polewali Mandar terdapat lapangan bulutangkis yang sudah cukup baik yang bisa digunakan untuk proses belajar mengajar dan berlatih Khususnya siswa kelas VIII, juga secara tegas didalam kurikulum sebagai mata pelajaran wajib dipelajari, sehingga sangat menunjang untuk menunjang kelancaran pempelajaran khususnya permainan bulutangkis yang diselenggarakan oleh guru penjas disekolah ini. Dengan demikian seberapa baik hasil belajar permainan bulutangkis yang dicapai oleh siswa. Maka dilakukan penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat capaian belajar bulutangkis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan Siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri Satap Tandassura Polewali Mandar sebanyak 28 siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriktif kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data wawancara dan dokumentasi nilai hasil belajar setiap siswa yang ada pada guru penjas disekolah tersebut. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif persentase. Dari hasill analisis data statitik ditemukan 8 orang (28,6 %) pada kategori “sangat baik”, 20 siswa (71,4 %) kategori “baik”, dan tidak ada siswa dalam kategori “cukup”,“kurang” dan “sangat kurang”. Kesimpulan hasil belajar permaina bulutangkis siswa SMP Negeri Satap Tandassura Polewali Mandar dikategorikan “Baik”.
