Abstract

This study overcomes the problem of low activity and learning outcomes of students in class XI AKL 1 SMK N 1 Sidikalang, consisting of 36 students. This study aims to improve activity and learning outcomes by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model. Data were collected through activity observation sheets and learning outcomes tests, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. 1) In cycle I, the first meeting showed an average of 27.77% active activities, then in cycle II, it increased with an average of 77.77% active activities. 2) The average pre-test score was 72.77% with 17 students (47.22%) complete, post-test cycle I 75% with 19 students (52.77%) complete, and post-test cycle II 85.27% with 32 students (88.88%) complete, meeting the success indicator ≥85%. In conclusion, the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model succeeded in improving student learning activities and outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI AKL 2 SMKN 1 Kabanjahe pada mata pelajaran akuntansi melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw yang dikombinasikan dengan media video tutorial. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dua siklus dengan data diperoleh dari observasi dan tes. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dari 22,22% pada siklus I menjadi 85,18% di siklus II. Nilai rata-rata juga meningkat dari 59,63 (pre-test), 74,96 (post-test I), menjadi 88,14 (post-test II), dengan ketuntasan 100%. Temuan ini memperkuat teori konstruktivisme sosial yang menekankan peran kolaborasi dalam pembelajaran. Secara praktis, guru disarankan menerapkan model ini sebagai alternatif pembelajaran interaktif dan efektif, terutama untuk materi kompleks.

Abstract

In this research, there were problems that showed a low level of learning activity and also in the initial ability test of students showed that the learning outcomes of the cognitive domain of students on the material of the adjusting journal were still low. The purpose of this research was to determine the increase in students' accounting activities and learning outcomes in class XII IPS 2 at SMA Swasta Dharmawangsa Medan through the application of the Two Stay Two Stray type cooperative learning model on the material of the trading company's adjustment journal. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects in this study were 27 students of class XII IPS 2. The instruments in this study consisted of knowledge tests and activity observation sheets. The results of the observation of student activity in cycle I there were 9 students (34%) who fell into the active and very active categories. In cycle II students who were included in the active and very active categories increased to 27 students (100%) and had met the success indicator >85%. And from the results of data analysis, the first cycle knowledge test was obtained with an average value of 62.2 with 15 students (56%) and an increase in the second cycle knowledge test with an average value of 84.1 with 26 students (96%) and has met the success indicator >85%. Based on these data, the indicators of this study have been met. So, it can be concluded that the application of the Two Stay Two Stray type cooperative learning model can improve student learning activities and outcomes at SMA Swasta Dharmawangsa Medan.
