Abstract

Construction management is the study and practice of managerial and technological aspects of the construction industry. Construction management can also be interpreted as one of the business capitals carried out by construction consultants in providing advice and assistance in a development project. The Construction Management Association of America “CMAA” states that there are seven main categories of responsibilities for a construction manager. These include project management planning, price management, time management, quality management, contract administration, safety management and professional practice. While the project is a combination of resources such as people, materials, equipment, and costs that are collected in a temporary organization place to achieve a goal and goal. So from the explanation above it can be concluded that project management is the application of knowledge, expertise and skills, the best technical way and with limited resources, to achieve the goals and objectives that have been determined in order to get optimal results in cost performance, quality. , and time, as well as work safety

Abstract

Problematic road infrastructure or pavement due to heavy and repeated traffic volume will cause a decrease in road quality. One of the road damage problems occurred on the Babakan - Pabuaran road section, Cirebon Regency. In this case, the condition survey is carried out visually and then analyzed using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. From the results of data on the condition of the Babakan - Pabuaran road of Cirebon Regency along 3 km and 5 m wide with bending pavement, it can be seen that the more dominant type of damage is the 83.37 m² Basin, 57.27 m² Grain Release, 31.15 m² Hole, 27.08 m² Slippery Aggregate, 21.33 m² Crocodile Skin Crack and 14.92 m² Amblas. The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value of bending pavement on the Babakan – Pabuaran road section of Cirebon Regency is 41.53 of these figures in the condition of the road section in the Fair category. Based on PCI values, it shows that the percentage of handling road conditions obtained is good, no handling is needed by 14%, rehabilitation by 14%, maintenance by 26% and reconstruction by 46%.

Abstract

Road damage on the Maja-Sukahaji route, exacerbated by overloaded vehicles, compromises safety and pavement longevity. This study evaluates flexible pavement conditions using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and recommends cost-effective treatments. Visual surveys and PCI assessments were conducted across 10 segments (100 m each), analyzing damage types, severity, density, and deduct values. Treatments were prioritized using Bina Marga guidelines, and costs were calculated via the Majalengka AHSP. Segments 6 and 7 were in poor condition (PCI 51–54), while segment 10 failed (PCI 1). Recommended interventions included patching (P5), paving (P2), and leveling (P6), with a total budget of Rp. 142,381,914.12. The study offers a replicable framework for localized road maintenance, combining PCI analysis with budgetary precision, and underscores the need for proactive repairs to prevent further deterioration. Future research should explore predictive maintenance models and alternative materials (Fadillah et al., 2024; Mutoharoh et al., 2022).

Abstract

Indonesian railway transportation service companies are constantly striving to improve service and facility optimization while increasing train passenger numbers. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of special fare tickets on train user decisions in order to boost passenger traffic and strengthen railways' role in the regional economy. This study examines price, time (length), and certainty opportunities as influences on the decision to acquire special fare tickets for public transportation trains. The study took a quantitative approach, with the questionnaire asking about Ability to Pay (ATP) and Willingness to Pay (WTP). Furthermore, the data was examined using multiple linear regressions to identify the impact of variables on consumer behavior. Overall, 54% of respondents can buy rail tickets at official pricing, including regular and special fares. 44% of respondents always purchase special price train tickets for long journeys and always take trains. Therefore, the resulting regression model is as follows: Y=3.115 - 0.49X1 + 0.042X2. The price variable shows a negative influence (-0.49), indicating that the greater the ticket price, the less likely someone will purchase a special fare train ticket. In contrast, the time variable has a positive effect, with a value of + 0.043, indicating that the longer the time given, the more likely someone will opt to buy.

Abstract

Crossing the road without crossing facilities is at great risk of traffic conflicts that can lead to congestion and accidents, so the availability of crossing facilities for pedestrians is an important indicator in improving pedestrian safety. This study aims to provide recommendations for the need for road crossing facilities that are in accordance with current conditions and the next 5 to 10 years in an effort to improve pedestrian safety. The method used is the LOS (Level Of Service) approach to determine traffic performance with calculations based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023), the PLOS (Pedestrian Level Of Service) approach to assess the performance of pedestrian facilities and to determine the appropriate type of crossing based on the guidelines of the Directorate General of Binamarga 2023 carried out by surveying traffic volume and crossing volume. The results showed that the study location has a LOS C value for current conditions and LOS E in the next 5 to 10 years. As for the PLOS value at the study site, it gets a score of F in the part that does not have pedestrian space, and a score of A in the part that has a pedestrian path. This study provides recommendations that there is a need for road crossing facilities in the form of "pelican with protection" for current conditions and "Pedestrian Bridge" for the next 5 and 10 years

Abstract

Pedestrian path conditions are one of the factors that affect willingness to walk and play an important role in supporting historical tourism activities. This study analyzes the performance of pedestrian paths expressed by Pedestrian Level of Service (PLOS) in the colonial historical area of Kota Lama Cirebon.  The method used in this study was to conduct a geometric survey of pedestrian paths, pedestrian flow surveys, and pedestrian travel time surveys in 10 segments scattered throughout the study area. The survey results were analyzed regarding the 1985 Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) and PLOS values generated based on available walking space. The study shows that in terms of walking space availability, most of the segments in the study area have a PLOS A score, which means they are performing well. In comparison, some segments have poor PLOS, such as Merdeka Street, Yos Sudarso Street, TJ Street, and Kebumen Street, due to the unavailability of sufficient walking paths to serve pedestrians or the presence of side obstacles that reduce the effective width of the pedestrian path. To overcome these problems, several things need to be done, such as: 1) issue a policy prohibiting selling on pedestrian paths to reduce side obstacles so that the effective width of the pedestrian path can increase; 2) widen the pedestrian path at least according to the applicable standards; and 3) provide pedestrian paths on segments that do not yet have pedestrian paths.

Abstract

The use of longitudinally laid composite pavement is currently massively used in Indonesia as part of the 272 national road standard program. This study systematically reviews and discusses the essential characteristics of semi-rigid flexible pavement widely implemented in Indonesia by comparing the bonding conditions between concrete overlays on flexible pavement; asphalt overlays on rigid pavement; longitudinal joints between flexible-flexible pavements, rigid-rigid pavements, rigid (roadway) pavements, and flexible (shoulder) pavements; and finds the potential similarity in characteristics for longitudinal joints between rigid (shoulder) pavements and flexible (roadway) pavements. The results reveal that the stiffness of the material significantly affects the remaining service life. Furthermore, high temperatures and water immersion cause stiffness of asphalt specimens loss, potentially leading to rutting and raveling. This indicates that damages due to water and temperature significantly affect the roadway, which is a structure formed with homogeneity.  Keyword: semi-rigid flexural pavement, interface conditions, stiffness modulus, residual life prediction.
