Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the management of the foreign language learning curriculum at the Zainul Hasanain Genggong Pajarakan Islamic Boarding School. This research method uses qualitative-descriptive. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, source triangulation is used as a data validation technique. The results of this study explain that the management system for foreign language learning curriculum at Zainul Hasanain Islamic Boarding School is quite good and well organized. It is known that the curriculum management applied is the same as the stages of management in general (planning, actuating, and evaluating). The planning process formulated objectives, program of activities, and schedule of activities. Then the implementation is carried out by implementing continuous activities such as memorizing vocab/mufrodat, grammar/qowaid nahwu-shorrof, short activities, and muthola'ah. There is also an annual program held to see the success and skill level of learning foreign languages such as story telling or qisshoh, and to undergo assignments for two years. Finally, evaluation of student learning is carried out once every three months.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana bentuk tuturan lisan yang dituturkan oleh penyandang autisme. Autisme merupakan salah satu jenis gangguan wicara yang terjadi pada manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yakni mendeskripsikan data. Sumber data yang digunakan oleh peneliti berasal dari film Dancing In The Rain khususnya pada tokoh Banyu yang termasuk penyandang autisme. Data yang digunakan yakni tuturan yang dituturkan oleh tokoh Banyu tersebut. Selanjutnya metode yang digunakan yakni metode simak, rekam dan catat. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yakni 1) reduksi data, 2) penyajian data, dan 3) pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil yang ditemukan dari penelitian ini ialah tuturan verbal penyandang autisme yakni tokoh Banyu membentuk omission, dan distortion. Kata lain tuturan yang dituturkan ialah mengalami pelesapan atau penghilangan unsur bahasa dan salah urut bahasa. Selain itu, dalam menanggapi stimulasi dari luar Banyu menanggapinya secara lambat dan/atau cepat. Bentuknya seperti tuturan yang dituturkan secara cepat dan berulang-ulang dengan sikap tantrum. ABTRACT This study aims to describe how forms of oral speech are spoken by people with autism. Autism is a type of speech disorder that occurs in humans. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research that is describing the data. The data source used by the researchers came from the film Dancing In The Rain, especially the character Banyu who is a person with autism. The data used are the utterances spoken by the Banyu character. Furthermore, the method used is the method of observing, recording and noting. The data analysis techniques performed were 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation, and 3) drawing conclusions. The results found from this study are the verbal utterances of persons with autism, namely the character Banyu forming omission and distortion. In other words, the utterances spoken are experiencing the loss or omission of language elements and the wrong order of language. In addition, in response to stimulation from outside Banyu responds slowly and/or quickly. The form is like a speech that is spoken quickly and repeatedly with a tantrum.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is about the contraints of speaking skills in English. The purpose of this research is mainly to 1. describe the students' problems in speaking and 2. to describe effective solutions to overcome constraints in speaking, the participants of this study were 13 students who were at seven grade in Islamic Junior High School of Darul Ulum, the instruments used in this research were observation, interview, and documentation. After getting the data results, the researcher continued to analyze and determine the categories of speaking difficulties, and teacher constraints when teaching. The results of this research showed that 80% had difficulty with 20% learning as usual, the most prominent problems in the speaking process consisted of minimal vocabulary, poor pronunciation, and grammatical errors. Other factors include an unsupportive environment that causes students to not have enough motivation to learn English, teachers play an active role in overcoming problems such as providing vocabulary continuously, creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, and motivating students in speaking learning.Keywords: Student Contraints, Speaking, Islamic Junior High School of Darul Ulum
