Abstract

The regulation of the Director General of Islamic Education No. 1429 year 2012 dated August 31, 2012 on the Arrangement of Study Program in Islamic Higher Education required the Department of Islamic Education (KI) to change its name to Islamic Education Management (MPI) Study Program which inevitably resulted in the adjustment of its graduates profile as well as its curriculum. As a consequence, this has raised some problems in terms of the implementation of the -commonly applied- professional training program. This is a qualitative research applying interviews, field notes, and documentation as its data collection methods. Sample in this research was determined by non-probability sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The result of the research shows the effectiveness of the professional training program-link and match- with the graduate profile of MPI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.   Keywords: Evaluation, Professional Training Program (PLP), Link and Match, and Graduate Profile

Abstract

This article examines related learning methods that can attract learners to learn the subjects of the Curriculum with a brain-based learning approach or brain-based Learning. This method uses field research at Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan Junior High School by interviewing several respondents, namely representatives of 7th-grade students, field observation, and documentation analysis using data in the form of documents and related data sources needed. Data analysis using Miles and Huberman methods is by data collection, data reduction, presentation of data, and withdrawal of conclusions or data verification. The research results show that the learning process with a brain-based learning approach with mind mapping methods significantly impacts learners' learning interest in the subjects of The Islamic Civilization (Tarikh) in Grade 7. The trial results showed that almost all pupils' grade scores increased, affecting average grades in each class. The learners' enthusiasm is also seen when they do mind mapping with great earnestness. However, in this learning model with mind mapping, some shortcomings exist. Namely, it will be difficult for students who are not interested to understand the material quickly.

Abstract

Abstract: The Implementation of Madrasa Tahfidz program of Ministry of Religion DIY has not been evenly distributed. This was the basis for the researchers to evaluate the program especially in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Yogyakarta. This evaluation research used an objective-oriented approach to measure the objective level of achievement program and used mixed methods with a concurrent embedded model. The CIPPO (Context, Input, Process, Product, and Outcome) evaluation model was used to analyze the program. The researcher used purposive sampling and snowballing sampling techniques in determining the subjects. The results show that overall the Madrasa Tahfidz program was quite effective because input, process, and outcomes of evaluated CIPPO components were optimally fulfilled. It is produce recommendations for revising the program, because there are still 2 components cannot be assessed as effective and still need continuous improvement. Context has not been effective because student need components are more needed in improving of reading Quran rather than memorizing. The product of program is not yet effective because referring to three measuring instruments that produce an average measurement result at a moderate level with a percentage (46.6%), either by sex, origin of madrasa and class of students, and haven’t reached a high level.

Abstract

Islamophobia symptoms significantly emerged among Westerners after the attack on the World Trade Center in the United States on September 11, 2001. Furthermore, the gap between the ideals of Islam as a religion of peace and the Western perception of Islam as a violent religion has become an issue that needs addressing. This research employs a qualitative method based on literature sources, focusing on the thoughts of Ibrahim M. Abu Rabi’, who proposes an approach in religious studies to correct Islamophobia. The research is conducted through literature sources, documents, archives, and similar materials. Ibrahim M. Abu Rabi’ emphasizes the importance of studying Islam through historical and sociological religious approaches. Through the "historical" approach, the study and empirical-historical-critical religious approach are expected to reduce the levels and intensity of violence and tension among religious believers, although not claiming to eliminate them entirely. Ibrahim M. Abu Rabi’ also recommends the necessity of dialogue between Islam and the West. This dialogue, indirectly, will revive the tradition of intellectualism that is free, dialogic, innovative, creative, and egalitarian between these two compass points. Keyword: Ibrahim M. Abu Rabi’, Historical Approach, Religious Sociology   Gejala Islamophobia banyak muncul dari orang-orang barat setelah terjadinya serangan terhadap WTC di Amerika Serikat pada 11 September 2001.
