Abstract

One of the determining factors in cultivating oil palm plants that can determine productivity and success in planting is seeds. This study aims to evaluate the effect of planting media composition and NPK fertilizer on the growth of oil palm (Elaeis guinensis Jacq) seedlings in the main nursery. The research method used was a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 3 replications and 2 treatment factors. The first factor is the use of planting media (M) with four levels of treatment: M0 as control, M1 with the provision of rice husk biochar + 75% + 25% top soil, M2 with the provision of rice husk biochar + 50% + 50% top soil, and M3 by providing rice husk biochar + 75% + 25% top soil. Meanwhile, the second factor is the use of NPK (N) fertilizer with three levels: N1 (NPK 50 g/polybag), N2 (NPK 100 g/polybag), and N3 (NPK 150 g/polybag). The research results were analyzed using a factorial RAK design. Significant differences were analyzed further with DMRT at a confidence level of 0.5%. Parameters measured included plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter, and total leaf chlorophyll (CCI). Research findings show that the application of rice husk biochar and top soil has a significant effect on the number of leaves, leaf area and stem diameter. The use of NPK fertilizer also has a significant impact, especially in terms of number of leaves, leaf area and stem diameter. The interaction between the two factors also has a significant impact on increasing the stem diameter of oil palm seedlings at the initial nursery stage (main nursery). Key words: Optimization, oil palm seeds, Main nursery, Rice husk Biochar, NPK INTISARI            Salah satu faktor penentu dalam budidaya tanaman kelapa sawit yang dapat menentukan produktivitas dan keberhasilan dalam penanaman adalah bibit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh komposisi media tanam dan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit (Elaeis guinensis Jacq) di main nursery. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan 3 ulangan dan 2 faktor perlakuan. Faktor pertama adalah penggunaan media tanam (M) dengan empat tingkatan perlakuan: M0 sebagai kontrol, M1 dengan pemberian biochar sekam padi + top soil 75% + 25%, M2 dengan pemberian biochar sekam padi + top soil 50% + 50%, dan M3 dengan pemberian biochar sekam padi + top soil 75% + 25%. Sementara itu, faktor kedua adalah penggunaan pupuk NPK (N) dengan tiga tingkatan: N1 (NPK 50 g/polybag), N2 (NPK 100 g/polybag), dan N3 (NPK 150 g/polybag). Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan rancangan RAK faktorial. Perbedaan yang signifikan dianalisis lebih lanjut dengan DMRT pada tingkat kepercayaan 0,5%.Parameter yang diukur mencakup tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, diameter batang, dan jumlah klorofil daun (CCI). Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian biochar sekam padi dan top soil memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap jumlah daun, luas daun, dan diameter batang. Penggunaan pupuk NPK juga memberikan dampak yang signifikan terutama dalam hal jumlah daun, luas daun, dan diameter batang. Interaksi antara kedua faktor juga memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada peningkatan diameter batang bibit kelapa sawit pada tahap pembibitan awal (main nursery). Kata kunci: Optimasi, bibit kelapa sawit, Main nursery, Biochar sekam padi, NPK

Abstract

One of the diseases that often occurs when growing pineapple is leaf spot disease caused by Culvularia. lunata. One of the diseases is bacterial leaf spot, and sercosporic leaf spot. There are two types of pathogens detected, namely conidia, which are fungi. Cercospora leaf spot disease is caused by Cercospora capsici This research was conducted at Bukit Kor Agricultural Complex, Marang, Terengganu, Malaysia with an altitude of 35 meters above sea level. The results showed that the fungi found on the leaves of plant samples were Culvularia lunata and Cercorpora capsici and those that could inhibit fungal growth were the treatment of 10% citric acid and 50% turmeric. Keywords: activity, extraction, fungus INTISARISalah satu penyakit yang sering terjadi saat menanam nenas adalah penyakit bercak daun yang disebabkan oleh Culvularia. lunata. Penyakit bercak daun serkospora disebabkan oleh Cercospora capsici Penelitian ini dilakukan di Komplek Pertanian Bukit Kor, Marang, Terengganu,Malaysia dengan ketinggian 35 meter di atas permukaan laut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2023.penelitian ini menggunakan metode  rancangan acak lenglap (RAL).Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwasan nya jamur yang terdapat pada daun  sampel tanaman adalah Culvularia lunata dan Cercorpora capsici dan yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur adalah perlakuan 10% citrit acid dan turmeric 50%.Kata kunci: aktivitas, ekstraksi, jamur

Abstract

Permaculture is closely related to sustainable, continuous and permanent life. Therefore, permaculture has the principle of balance and sustainability. The growth of microbes or spores can be detrimental to plants even if the ecosystem and environment are healthy and good, such as a permaculture area. The spread of plant diseases is often caused by spores spread through the air. The aim of this research is to determine the distribution of spores in the air in the Kor Hill permaculture area. Observations of spore samples were carried out in September 2023 at the Kor Hill Agricultural Complex laboratory, Marang, Terengganu, Malaysia at a height of 35 meters above sea level. This research used the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method. The research results showed that the spore colony samples observed were groups of fungi known as sterile hyphae or sterile mycelia. Sterile hyphae or sterile mycelia are a type of fungus that does not produce reproductive structures, either through sexual or asexual reproduction.Keywords: Permaculture, spores, sterile myceliaINTISARIPermakultur sangat erat kaitannya dengan kehidupan yang lestari, terus menerus, dan permanen. Maka dari itu, permakultur memiliki prinip keseimbangan dan berkelanjutan. Pertumbuhan mikroba atau spora dapat merugikan tanaman meskipun ekosisten dan lingkungannya sehat dan baik seperti area permakultur. Penyebaran penyakit tanaman seringkali disebabkan oleh spora yang tersebar melalui udara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persebaran spora di udara pada area permakultur bukit Kor Pengamatan sampel spora dilakukan pada bulan September 2023 di laboraturium Komplek Pertanian Bukit Kor, Marang, Terengganu, Malaysia dengan ketinggian 35 meter diatas permukaan laut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sampel koloni spora yang diamati berupa kelompok jamur yang disebut sebagai hifa steril atau miselia steril. Hifa steril atau miselia steril merupakan jenis jamur yang tidak menghasilkan struktur reproduksi, baik itu melalui reproduksi seksual maupun aseksual. Kata kunci: permakultur, spora, miselia steril

Abstract

MD2 and Josapine pineapple are hybrid pineapples. The Josapine pineapple variety has the advantage of having thornless leaves. This study aims to identify the quality values of MD2 and Josapine pineapples with different peeling times in a closed room. This research was carried out on September 19 2023 at the Lepas Tuai Malaysian Agriculture Research and Development Institute (MARDI) Complex in Serdang Selangor, Malaysia. The main ingredients used in this research were MD2 pineapple and Josapine which were obtained from a fruit shop in Serdang Selangor, Malaysia. The tools used in this research were digital scales, blenders, thermometers, measuring cups, Erlenmeyer, spatulas, funnels, glass jars, knives, gloves, chromameters, refractometers, pH meters, and viscometers. This research was conducted using an ordinary completely randomized design (CRD) with two replications and two treatments. All data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further analysis using the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) using the SAS program. The results of the analysis of variance showed that differences in pineapple peeling times gave significantly different results in the color of the pineapple skin, thus influencing differences in pineapple quality on the zeroth day (D0) and the third day (D3). The next difference is in the pH and TTA (Titratable Acidity) content of MD2 pineapple which is significantly different from Josapine pineapple in the pineapple quality test treatment on day zero (D0) and day three (D3). Keywords: pineapple, quality, content, color INTISARINanas MD2 dan Josapine merupakan nanas hybrid.
