Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to improve pilots' English language skills through specialized training focused on ICAO English Language Proficiency (IELP) Level 5. The partners for this training are alumni from Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug, who are members of the Ikatan Pilot Alumni Curug (IPAC). Data from Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug indicates that only 15% of 505 IELP test participants in 2023 achieved Level 5, highlighting the need for enhanced proficiency to meet higher standards. The training was held on June 5, 2024, attended by 49 participants with 20 attending in person at Hotel Vega Gading Serpong and the rest joining virtually via Zoom Meeting. The session covered detailed explanations of IELP Level 5, common mistakes analysis, and IELP test simulations. It is expected that through this training, pilots will improve their proficiency and achieve IELP Level 5, ultimately contributing to better flight safety. The results of this training are anticipated to address gaps in pilots' English proficiency and support higher international flight safety standards.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide understanding to lecturers and prospective lecturers, especially in the Aviation study program. This is necessary because there are many prospective lecturers who currently still have the status of Flight Instructors who want to know and understand about the calculation of teaching hours in fulfilling the Lecturer BKD. This socialization activity discusses the calculation of teaching hours and how to apply the calculation of teaching hours into the system according to the BKD rubric guide. In addition to this, this activity also provides an understanding of the need for teaching hours in fulfilling the BKD in one semester

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh manajemen waktu terhadap produktivitas organisasi. Manajemen waktu merupakan salah satu faktor kunci dalam efisiensi operasional yang berdampak langsung pada kinerja dan hasil yang dicapai organisasi. Jika tidak tepat terhadap jadwal dapat menyebabkan inefisiensi, menurunkan motivasi kerja, dan menghambat produktivitas secara keseluruhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen waktu berpengaruh positif terhadap produktivitas organisasi. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi organisasi untuk lebih memperhatikan manajemen waktu guna meningkatkan produktivitas dan mencapai tujuan strategis secara lebih efektif. Selain itu, ketepatan waktu juga berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kepuasan kerja, karena karyawan merasa lebih terorganisir dan termotivasi dalam lingkungan yang menghargai disiplin waktu.

Abstract

Aviation safety is a crucial component in the aviation industry, and the implementation of consistent service and security standards across all airport environments is an essential part of flight safety. All these aspects have been regulated by ICAO, which is responsible for regulating and establishing flight standards worldwide. This research investigates how security and service standards are applied at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali and how this impacts the operational safety of flights. This study was conducted using a literature review method, sourced from 8 news articles, 9 journals  and conducted interviews through electronic media to verify the conditions on the ground. The quality of terminal operations supervision services and passenger services at the terminal is the main topic of the research. The results of this study show that the majority of safety procedures have been implemented in accordance with regulations. The application of good service and security standards greatly helps to maintain flight safety and increase the confidence of airport service users.

Abstract

Fenomena cuaca memiliki peran penting dalam keselamatan penerbangan, terutama pada fase kritis seperti lepas landas dan pendaratan. Salah satu fenomena meteorologi yang berpotensi menimbulkan risiko terhadap operasi penerbangan adalah windshear, yaitu perubahan arah dan kecepatan angin secara tiba-tiba dalam jarak yang relatif pendek. Namun demikian, pemahaman masyarakat mengenai fenomena ini masih tergolong rendah. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai karakteristik windshear serta dampaknya terhadap keselamatan penerbangan. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan edukatif-partisipatif yang meliputi penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, studi kasus, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan terhadap 30 peserta dari nilai rerata 70 menjadi 88. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan literasi masyarakat mengenai meteorologi penerbangan serta menumbuhkan kesadaran terhadap pentingnya aspek keselamatan dalam transportasi udara.
