Abstract

The background to this study arises from attention to the increasingly rapid growth of the coffee and cafe industry today. Along with this, the demand for quality coffee drinks is also increasing. Baristas play an important role in providing customers with a quality coffee experience, and barista training is an important factor in developing the necessary skills. Padang City Workout Hall as a recognized training institution has an important role in scoring qualified baristas. However, in order to guarantee the effectiveness of training, not only technical skills must be taken into account, but also the motivation and job satisfaction of trainees. High motivation can encourage participants to reach their best potential in learning, while high job satisfaction can have a positive impact on participant retention and training quality. This type of research is quantitative research, with a correlational approach. Correlational research is a study that researchers conduct to observe the degree of relationship between two or more variables, without modification, addition or engineering with existing data. The motivation of trainees who feel motivated to attend training can increase job satisfaction. If they see the value and benefits of such training, they will most likely be satisfied with their decision to attend the training. Trainees who are always present, actively ask questions, and involve themselves fully in each training session tend to feel more satisfied. Good attendance can reflect a commitment to training and a desire to maximize its benefits. Environmental factors, such as training facilities, classroom atmosphere, and the relationship between trainees and instructors, can also affect job satisfaction. There is a significant relationship between work motivation and job satisfaction of barista trainees in Padang City, so motivation strongly influences satisfaction in carrying out training. Keywords: Work motivation, job satisfaction, training

Abstract

Kelas Insecta (5 ordo, 7 famili, 11 genus), Kelas Gastropoda (2 ordo, 2 famili, 2 genus), Kelas Cliitellata (1 ordo, 1 famili, 1 genus). Kata Penting: Gyrinidae, Hydropchidae, Metode BMWP-ASPT, Purposive sampling, Perlidae.AbstractThe water quality of a body of water can be evaluated through various methods, one of which is using bioindicators such as macrozoobenthos. Macrozoobenthos are aquatic organisms that live permanently at the bottom of the waters. Water quality assessment using the Biological Monitoring Working Party - Average Score Per Taxon (BMWP-ASPT) method allows grouping of benthic biota based on their tolerance level to pollution. This study aims to analyze the diversity index and dominance index of macrozoobenthos, measure the physical-chemical parameters of water, and evaluate the relationship between physical-chemical parameters and macrozoobenthos diversity. In addition, this study also evaluates water quality using the BMWP-ASPT method as a biological monitoring system based on the macrozoobenthos community. Sampling in this study was carried out along the Panorama River, Jantho City, Bukit Meusara, Aceh Besar Regency. Sample identification was carried out at the Marine Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Syiah Kuala University. This study used a survey method with a purposive sampling approach, namely based on environmental conditions along the river as the basis for selecting sampling stations. There are three research stations with different characteristics. Based on research conducted in the Panaroma Jantho River, there are 14 genera and 15 individuals. These genera are classified into 3 classes (lnsecta, Gastropoda, Cliitellata). Insecta Class (5 orders, 7 families, 11 genera), Gastropoda Class (2 orders, 2 families, 2 genera), Cliitellata Class (1 order, 1 family, 1 genus). Analysis using the BMWP-ASPT method shows that the water quality of the Jantho River is in the category of moderate to severely polluted with values ranging from 2.34. These results indicate significant pollution pressure on the river ecosystem. Keywords: Gyrinidae, Hydropchidae, Metode BMWP-ASPT, Purposive sampling, Perlidae.

Abstract

This community empowerment program aims to enhance the capacity and welfare of Kuala Gigieng salt farmers through the innovation of salt-derived products and the strengthening of product branding. The activities were carried out at the Training Center of Universitas Syiah Kuala and in Gampong Neuheun, Aceh Besar District, using a participatory training approach. The stages included socialization, training on the production of salt-based dishwashing soap, practice in crushing and packaging refined salt, business management assistance, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test. The pre-test results showed that most participants had limited understanding of soap making, branding, and business management (≥50% in the poor category). After the training, significant improvements were recorded: 62.29% of participants demonstrated excellent understanding of soap production, 78.57% understood tools and ingredients, 85.71% understood branding and marketing, and 100% expressed very high interest in the program. The dishwashing soap produced was characterized by good foaming quality, effective cleaning ability, and a fresh aroma from patchouli oil. In addition, raw salt was successfully processed into 250 g packaged refined salt under the brand Merak Bintang Global, which increased its market value by approximately 40% compared to bulk salt. Business management assistance also encouraged the establishment of simple financial records and a clearer organizational structure within the farmer group.
