Abstract

Elementary School 10 Timpeh is one of the schools in the 3T area in Sungai Bulian, Timpeh District, Dharmasraya Regency, with a distance of 197 km from Padang City. SDN 10 Timpeh has a School Health Unit (SHU) but has been inactive, and the room has been converted into a warehouse. This activity aims to reactivate and optimize SHU functions at SDN 10 Timpeh. The first method was carried out through training activities for ten students who were selected to become cadres of little doctors from classes 3,4, and 5. The second method was done with lectures, discussions about clean and healthy behaviour for all students. The strengthening of the theory is also accompanied by stimulation of the affective and psycho-motor domains of students through the exercise of using soap and running water, giving students fruit and milk, as well as the practice of handling students who move to school by a cadre of little doctors who have been previously selected. Evaluation of this program is done through pre-test and post-test. After training and coaching, there was a significant increase in students' knowledge of the little doctor's subject matter by 10 points, and the Wilcoxon test results showed an increase in student knowledge. The students of SDN 10 Timpeh were enthusiastic about this activity. The advocacy management results were strengthened by the issuance of a headmaster decree on the control of the SHU and the appointment of a supervisor of the SHU as well as an explanation of his job description. It is expected that the Public Health Centre, Schools, and coaches will continue to carry out these SHU activities on a scheduled and periodic evaluation.

Abstract

Most (77%) urban villages in Padang City still have positive cases of COVID-19 and the most are in Koto Tangah District. Prevention and mitigation measures are the key to implementation in health services. During the pandemic, the Public Health Care (PHC) continued to provide services to pregnant, childbirth and postpartum mothers. However, the transmission of COVID-19 to medical personnel and paramedics is getting higher in Indonesia, until July 2020 there were 1.2% of cases. For this reason, it is necessary to ensure that transmission prevention measures are carried out properly. The purpose of this activity is to socialize the “Delivery Chamber” to health workers at the PHC and the Midwives Independent Practice in Koto Tangah District. The method used in this activity is socialization. The outreach activities began with the construction of “Delivery Chamber” and giving them to several PHC and a midwife's independent practice site as a pilot for other health service centers. In addition, there is also a tutorial for making a Delivery Chamber which will be uploaded to Youtube as a virtual socialization medium. According to Aulia, video tutorials on Youtube have an influence on behavior and level of knowledge. The results of this activity were the delivery of Delivery Chamber to the Lubuk Buaya PHC, Anak Air PHC, Air Dingin PHC and Midwife Mariani. It is hoped that health service managers who provide childbirth services during the Covid-19 pandemic to provide a Delivery Chamber and follow the procedures for its use.

Abstract

COVID-19 cases in Indonesia began to be reported positive confirmed on March 2, 2020, with 2 cases. In West Sumatra Province, 182 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, starting on May 2, 2020. During the current pandemic, visits to health services have begun to decrease to fear making visits in crowds. Teachers and employees are required to be pillars of health for students and their parents; problems to control health regularly must also be presented in the school environment. So that all teachers and employees are always healthy and productive in carrying out their activities. This community service aims to periodically control the health of teachers and employees through socialization and introduction of Posbindu and regular health checks in the form of Posbindu (Integrated Guidance Post) PTM (Non-Communicable Diseases) Institutions. Community service is carried out at SD IT Cendekia Andalas. The targets of this service are teachers and school employees; the approach method is carried out by socializing, discussing, and forming cadres, distributing Posbindu equipment for further training in the future, and achieving the objectives of implementing Posbindu. Most of the community service participants in general still do not know about the Institutional PTM Posbindu; it is recommended that further form a team of Posbindu cadres as a program driving team; it is hoped that all teachers and employees at SD IT Cendekia Andalas will be exposed to the importance of regular health checks through the Institutional PTM Posbindu, health teachers and employees are monitored safely, and the spread of Covid-19 in crowds can be avoided.

Abstract

COVID-19 cases in West Sumatra have shown a significant increase in the past month. To accelerate the handling of COVID-19, the government implemented Large-Scale Social Restrictions started on April 22, 2020. Enforcement is also carried out in Padang which has the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 107 positive confirmed cases with 12 deaths. Efforts to prevent the spread of this virus can be carried out through collaborative community service activities between educational institutions and urban villages in Padang City. One of these activities was community service activities held in Jati, East Padang District, Padang City, namely through educational activities using leafleat and posters as promotion media then also donating masks to improve people's healthy behavior. Promotional media were distributed to the public due to situations that make it impossible to carry out activities by gathering many people in one place. The activity went well, received a good response from the village head and all village officials. Media and donations were distributed by the village head especially for poor families and low access to information. Monitoring and evaluation were needed from the village and service providers in increasing the implementation of healthy behavior by the community.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of cybersex behavior among adolescents presents a growing concern, with potential risks to their physical and mental health. The ease of access and low cost associated with this behavior contribute to its proliferation. Based on interviews with students from X High School in Pariaman, it was found that a significant portion of the student population accesses pornography on the internet when exposed to online advertisements and during casual browsing. The primary objective of this initiative is to nurture a generation of digitally aware youth by enhancing their knowledge and shaping healthier attitudes regarding cybersex. The location of the activities was SMA X Pariaman City. A combination of active and passive approaches was employed. Active methods involved delivering lectures with prepared materials and informative video presentations. Passively, students were provided with informational leaflets and banners placed strategically in the school environment. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires were administered to gauge the effectiveness of the materials and videos in influencing participants' knowledge and attitudes. Statistical analysis, including the Wilcoxon test and Gain Score, reveals a notable increase in expertise and confirms the effectiveness of the counseling efforts. In summary, this program effectively enhances knowledge and attitudes about cybersex among adolescents, marking a significant step in addressing this pressing issue.
