Abstract

Code mixing occurs when a speaken using a language predominantly supports a speech inserted wih other language elements. This is usually related to the characteristics of the speaker, such as social background, education level, religious taste, this is what experienced by class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Ambon. Factors causing code mixing in Indonesian language learning interactions are object of research. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research, by using the method of observation, field notes and interviews. The data validity technique used by the researcher is the triangulation of sources and theories, and to analyze the factors causing code mixing in Indonesian language learning interactions, the researcher used three stages, namely data presentation, data description process, and verification or making conclusions. The research results found by the researcher were three factors that caused code mixing in the interaction of Indonesian language learning by class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Ambon, and the results prove that it is not only students who produce mixed codes in the learning process, but the teacher also produces mixed codes when communicating with students. The process of mixing codes produced by the teacher and students was apparently done unconsciously

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia adalah bahasa resmi sekaligus bahasa nasional di Indonesia. Bahasa Indonesia merupakan varietas yang dibakukan dari bahasa Melayu, rumpun Austronesia yang digolongkan kedalam rumpun Melayu yang merupakan cabang turunan dari Melayu dan Polinesia. Bahasa Indonesia sejak lama digunakan sebagai basantara di wilayah kepulauan Indonesia yang rata-rata memiliki kemajemukan linguistika. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif karena menggambarkan suatu peristiwa secara sistematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pembahasan penelitian ini yaitu (1) penjelasan secara rinci pola interaksi mahasiswa dengan dosen dalam pembelajaran mengunakan ragam bahasa, (2) penjelasan secara rinci interaksi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran menggunakan ragam bahasa, (3) pola interaksi dalam pembelajaran menggunakan ragam bahasa terhadap mahasiswa. Kesimpulan berdasarkan pembahasan yang telah dijabarkan pada pembahasan maka dapat diambil kesimpulan yaitu, terdapat pola interaksi mahasiswa dengan dosen dalam pembelajaran, adanya interaksi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran, dan pola interaksi dalam pembelajaran menggunakan ragam bahasa terhadap mahasiswa melalui pola satu arah dan pola dua arah

Abstract

Sangihe tribe or known by the tribe Sangir community community that occupies small islands in the District of Sangihe Islands in North Sulawesi Province. The islands that reside in the Sangihe tribe are located between Sulawesi Island and Mindanao Island, which borders the Philippines. In the past the Sangihe tribe did not recognize literature in written form but in oral literature. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang ekostilistika papantung yang digunakan masyarakat suku Sangihe di desa Manente, Kecamatan Tahuna, Kabupaten Sangihe, Sulawesi Utara. Bertujuan untuk menemukan bentuk representasi alam dalam gaya bahasa pada papantung masyarakat suku Sangihe, sesuai kajian ekologi dan stilistika dalam interdisipliner ilmu ekostilistika. Rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, lokasi penelitian bertempat di desa Manente Kecamatan Tahuna Sulawesi Utara, informannya merupakan penduduk asli desa Manente, sumber data penelitian ini adalah papantung masyarakat suku Sangihe dan data yang diperoleh berupa data lisan papantung, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi atau pengamatan, wawancara mendalam, perekaman, dan pencatatan, analisis data menggunakan pendekatan etnografi dengan teknik penafsiran teks (hermeneutika). Hasil Penelitian ini adalah representasi alam dalam gaya bahasa papantung masyarakat suku Sangihe, terdapat dua majas yaitu perbandingan dan majas pertautan. Papantung masyarakat suku Sangihe memuat dari majas perbandingan (metafora, Simile, alegori, personifikasi) dilihat dari bait dan larik setiap papantung. Maka kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil pada analisis data ditemukan bentuk representasi alam yang membahas gaya bahasa tentang metefora, simile, alegori, personifikasi.

Abstract

Perundungan atau bullying sering terjadi di lingkungan persekolahan, baik dilakukan secara sadar maupun tidak sadar, baik direncanakan maupun tidak direncanakan. Dalam konteks kelompok masyarakat Maluku, hal itu turut terlestarikan dengan adanya budaya basengaja sebagai prasyarat penerimaan dalam lingkungan sosial, termasuk lingkungan persekolahan di Maluku Tengah. Dengan demikian, kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 5 Teluk Elpaputih, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi bentuk dan pola perundungan di dalam lingkungan persekolahan di Kabupaten Maluku Tengah; sebagai data awal untuk merencanakan tindak lanjut prefentif. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui penyuluhan dengan kombinasi aktivitas permainan serta wawancara personal serta diakhiri dengan pelantikan Duta Anti Perundungan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa berbagai bentuk perundungan terjadi di SMP Negeri 5 Teluk Elpaputih kerap terjadi perundungan, kebanyakan tidak ditangani dengan baik, dibiarkan oleh warga sekolah karena dianggap sebagai kewajaran dan bisa diselesaikan sendiri oleh siswa.

Abstract

Community service activities in collaboration with the GPM Passo Utara Congregation. This community service aims to increase creativity, self-confidence, and the ability to appreciate children's and adolescent literature through theatrical poetry training. The training was carried out in the Zion Sector of the Passo Utara Congregation in 2025, involving participants aged 10–14 years. The benefits of this activity are expected to enable participants to implement theatrical poetry performances. The methods used include providing theoretical knowledge about poetry, practicing vocal techniques, intonation, expression, and appreciation, and ending with a performance as an evaluation of the results of the theatrical poetry training. The results of the training showed an increase in the participants' ability to express themselves through theatrical poetry, growing courage to appear in public, and building a spirit of togetherness among children and adolescents. Thus, this activity not only contributes to the development of artistic talent but also forms character and strengthens positive values within the GPM Passo Utara congregation. The output of the activity was a theatrical poetry performance entitled "Sepotong Sagu". The outcome of this community service activity is expected to enhance the creativity of the children and adolescents of the GPM Passo Utara Congregation in appreciating literature through performing arts.

Abstract

Efficient reference management and bibliography preparation are essential skills for students to support the quality of academic work. The Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at Pattimura University (PBSI Unpatti) faces challenges related to reference management skills, particularly in using Mendeley software. The community service activity (PkM) was carried out on September 26–27, 2025. This activity was attended by 17 PBSI students from the 2019–2022 cohorts with the aim of improving students’ understanding, skills, and confidence in using Mendeley for research result analysis and academic writing. The training was conducted using a participatory, practice-based approach, including theory sessions, demonstrations of Mendeley usage, hands-on practice, and Q&A discussions. Evaluation results showed that the majority of participants experienced improvements in material comprehension, practical Mendeley skills, and confidence in using the software. These findings indicate that practice-based training is effective in enhancing students’ academic capacity, particularly in reference management and academic writing. The training also provides a foundation for the development of follow-up activities and the integration of digital literacy into the PBSI Unpatti curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the representation of local wisdom and cultural identity in undergraduate students’ creative poetry practices within the Sanggar Sastra (Literary Studio) course. Employing a qualitative descriptive-analytical design, data were collected through documentation of student-authored poems, in-depth semi-structured interviews, and participatory classroom observations. Data analysis followed an interactive process of reduction, thematic display, and conclusion drawing, with a specific focus on cultural symbols, ecological imagery, and embedded socio-moral values. The findings reveal that local wisdom is robustly articulated through indigenous kinship terminology, nature-based metaphors, and community-oriented ethical injunctions. Students’ cultural identity emerges through deliberate lexical choices, geocultural positioning, and critical negotiations between traditional values and contemporary modernity. The creative process unfolds across four pedagogically scaffolded stages: experiential exploration, aesthetic processing, value reflection, and collaborative revision. Beyond textual production, this practice significantly enhances students’ creative expression, reflective thinking, and cultural awareness. The Sanggar Sastra course thus functions as an integrative pedagogical space that simultaneously develops cognitive, affective, and creative competencies. The study concludes that practice-based literary pedagogy effectively strengthens cultural literacy and reinforces local identity amid globalizing educational landscapes. These findings offer valuable theoretical and practical contributions to culturally responsive language and literature education, providing a replicable framework for integrating indigenous knowledge systems into higher education curricula and fostering ethically grounded, culturally resilient graduates.

Abstract

This study aims to describe lesbian life as depicted in the novel Kembang Kertas: Ijinkan Aku Menjadi Lesbian by Eni Martini using a sociological approach. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with the novel text serving as the primary data source. Data were collected through intensive reading and systematic note-taking of excerpts relevant to the research focus. Data analysis was conducted by relating narrative elements to the social realities of Indonesian society. The findings indicate that lesbian life in the novel is portrayed through the existential experiences of the main character, who undergoes profound inner conflict in the search for identity while simultaneously facing strong social rejection, negative stigma, and psychological pressure from family and the surrounding environment. The novel functions as a sharp form of social criticism toward discriminatory attitudes within society. This study contributes significantly to the development of literary sociology, particularly by enriching insights into the representation of sexual minority groups in Indonesian literature and by reinforcing the role of literature as a social document that records cultural value conflicts within society.
