Stunting is a chronic condition that describes impaired growth due to long-term malnutrition. It is one of the consequences of malnutrition experienced by toddlers (children under five years old). It causes children to fail to grow and are too short for their age due to a lack of nutritional needs, namely protein sources. Toddlers who experience stunting will have suboptimal intelligence levels, be more susceptible to disease, and be at risk of mental retardation as well as decreasing productivity levels in the future. The occurrence of stunting in Indonesia is a recurring problem, and there is a fairly high prevalence of stunting each year in North Sumatra, Medan Belawan District. This study aims to determine the effect of the innovation of Tonjangpis abon (a combination of mackerel tuna and banana blossom floss) in an integrated stunting prevention movement on weight gain in 2-3-year-old children in Belawan I District. This is a quasi-experimental study with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research population was undernourished toddlers aged 12-36 months in Belawan I District, with a total sampling technique of 16 undernourished toddlers aged 12-36 months. The result shows a p-value of 0.004, which means there is a significant effect of Tonjangpis abon innovation in an integrated stunting prevention movement on weight gain in 2-3-year-old children.

Pain is a unique, complicated, universal and individual sensation experienced by post chemoradiation patients with nasopharyngeal cancer. One of the non-pharmacological techniques that can reduce pain intensity is the Benson relaxation technique. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of Benson relaxation techniques on reducing pain intensity in post chemoradiation patients with nasopharyngeal cancer. This research method was a quasi-experimental study using a one-group pretest and posttest design. The research was conducted in the Oncology Room at Murni Teguh Hospital Medan. The total population was 36 people and all of them were sampled. The analysis was performed univariate and bivariate using paired sample t-test with a confidence level of 95% (a = 0.05). The results of this study indicated that the pain intensity of post chemoradiation patients with nasopharyngeal cancer before being given Benson relaxation technique intervention (pretest) was in the moderate pain category (94.4%). After being given Benson relaxation technique intervention (posttest) in the category of mild pain (83.3%). The Benson relaxation technique has an effect on reducing the pain intensity of post chemoradiation patients with nasopharyngeal cancer or there is a difference in pain intensity before and after being treated with the Benson relaxation technique (pretest-posttest) at Teguh Pure Hospital Medan, p-value = 0.000 and t value = 24.612. It is concluded that Benson relaxation technique is effective to reduce pain intensity in post chemoradiation patients with nasopharyngeal cancer. It is recommended that the leadership of Murni Teguh Medan Hospital make a policy by making SOP for Benson relaxation techniques so that every post chemoradiation patient with nasopharyngeal cancer receives non-pharmacological Benson relaxation techniques.

General anesthesia is a medical intervention that causes loss of sensation and consciousness to facilitate surgical procedures, followed by a recovery phase where the patient regains full consciousness. Hemodynamic instability and delayed recovery often occur in laparotomy patients under general anesthesia, which is influenced by several factors, one of which is the physical status condition classified by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). Patients with a higher ASA classification are at greater risk of experiencing delayed recovery due to decreased organ and metabolic response to anesthetic agents. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical status (ASA) and recovery time in patients undergoing cholelithiasis laparotomy under general anesthesia. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design conducted in the Operating Theater Room – 8 Murni Teguh Memorial Hospital. The sample consisted of 45 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were an ASA physical status observation sheet and an Aldrete Score to assess recovery time. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. The results showed that patients with a low ASA classification experienced a faster recovery of consciousness compared to patients with a high ASA classification who experienced delayed recovery. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between physical status (ASA) and recovery time in patients undergoing cholelithiasis laparotomy under general anesthesia (p-value <0.05). This finding confirms that patients at high risk of ASA require closer perioperative assessment and monitoring to prevent delayed recovery and reduce postoperative complications.

Postoperative pain is a physiological condition, yet it remains one of the most feared complaints among patients after surgery. Early mobilization plays an important role in reducing pain by diverting the patient’s focus away from the site of pain or surgical area, decreasing the activation of chemical mediators involved in the inflammatory process that heighten the pain response, and minimizing the transmission of pain signals to the central nervous system. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of early mobilization on pain intensity in post–cesarean section patients at RSIA Rosiva Medan. This study used a pretest and posttest control group design. The population consisted of post–cesarean section patients at RSIA Rosiva Medan. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The total sample in this study was 41 respondents in the intervention group and 41 respondents in the control group. Observation sheets and early mobilization SOPs were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Mann–Whitney test. The study showed that after early mobilization, most respondents in the intervention group experienced mild pain, totaling 34 respondents (82.9%). Meanwhile, in the control group, where early mobilization was not performed, most respondents experienced moderate pain, totaling 37 respondents (90.2%). The Mann–Whitney test yielded a p-value of 0.000. It is concluded that there is an effect of early mobilization on pain intensity in post–cesarean section patients at RSIA Rosiva Medan in 2021. It is suggested that it can be used as input for developing Standard Operating Procedures for non-pharmacological interventions to reduce pain intensity in post–cesarean section patients.
