Abstract

Indonesia's significant economic development in recent decades, driven by various sectors, including information and communication technology, emphasizes the importance of broader economic education for students. However, a knowledge gap exists on how data-driven methodologies can be effectively applied in advanced economics curricula. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D)-based development methodology to design, develop, and evaluate a data analysis-based learning platform. The results show that this platform successfully meets very high validity criteria, with an average validation score of 86.67%, indicating the suitability of the material to learning objectives, data accuracy, and relevance to advanced economic concepts. In addition, the ease of navigation, the availability of technical support, and the quality of security and privacy are also rated excellent, reaching a score of 100%. These results confirm that the developed platform is academically relevant and capable of providing an interactive and safe learning experience for users. The implications of this study show that integrating data-based technology in economic learning can improve teaching effectiveness and student's understanding of complex economic concepts

Abstract

Effective financial management is essential to the sustainability of farming businesses, especially amid economic changes and challenges faced by farmer groups such as Among Tani in Bumiaji, Batu City. Despite the growing awareness of the importance of financial management, many farmers still have difficulty applying the correct financial principles, especially in separating personal finance and farming. This creates a significant knowledge gap in applying practical and efficient financial management among farmers. Financial management training is carried out using a practical approach to answer this need, where the material is delivered through a combination of theory and practical sessions directly in the field. The main results of this training show that there is an increase in farmers' knowledge and skills in recording financial transactions, budgeting, and financial risk management. The participant's response was also very positive, with high enthusiasm for applying the techniques learned, and planned to form a small group focusing on joint financial management. Some participants even expressed their intention to immediately implement more transparent and efficient recording techniques in their farming businesses. The implications of this activity show that this kind of training is not only able to improve the technical skills of farmers but also change their mindset about the importance of sustainable financial management, which is ultimately expected to strengthen the financial independence of the farmer group as a whole.

Abstract

MSMEs in Indonesia play a vital role in the economy, contributing more than 60% to GDP and absorbing 97% of the workforce. Digitalization provides new opportunities for MSMEs to increase competitiveness and diversify income sources, but challenges remain, such as low digital literacy, access to technology, and lack of training. This study aims to develop and determine the effectiveness of MSME digitalization incubation that combines profit-sharing and equity funding business models. The research method used is the business model canvas method with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The study results show that digitalization incubation programs significantly positively impact the growth of MSMEs, with 45% of respondents stating that digitalization is essential in improving business performance. However, only 30% of MSMEs understand the concept of equity funding well, indicating the need to improve financial literacy. In addition, the study found that trust in the profit-sharing model was higher than equity funding, with 40% and 35%, respectively. The implication of this study is the need to increase MSMEs' understanding and accessibility to digitalization-based business models through more comprehensive incubation programs, as well as the development of policies that support the strengthening of financial literacy among MSME actor.
