Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by activities carried out by the community in the Sambas river flow, such as household activities, as transportation routes, sources of livelihoods, and entertaiment facilities. A common problem in this research was the Terminology of Community Activities in the Sambas River Flow.Common problems are divided into three subproblems, namely the terminologyform, lexical meanings and cultural meanings, and components of meaning. This research was conducted using descriptive methods with qualitative forms. The method of data collection used were observation, interviews, and documentation.This research was successful collecting 43 terminology data. From the 43 terminologies of the activity, 35 terminologieswere in the form  of word, and 8 terminologieswere in the form of phrases.The 43 terminologieswere grouped into 4 types of activities, namely households, transportation routes, sources of livelihood, and entertaiment facilities.Cultural meanings are divided into 1 myth in the activity category and 3 forbidden in the tool dan activities category. Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by the role of single sentences in literature to build a short story. This study aimsed to present single sentence forms using tagmemics contained in the short stories of Senyum Karyamin. This research method was a descriptive method with qualitative research.The technique was used documentary technique. The data source in this study was a collection of short stories by Karyamin’s Smile by Ahmad Tohari. The data in this study were transitive active single sentences, active intransitive single sentences, and passive sentences. The technique of analyzing transitive active single sentence data, intransitive active single sentences and passive sentences used subordinate or gatra formulas, concluded the results of the analysis, and designs implementation into learning. Based on the results of data analysis it was found that the collection of short stories of Senyum Karyamin contained single sentence which were analyzed using tagmemics in the form of transitive single sentence, intransitive single sentence, and pasif single sentence. The number of use of each sentence in the short story collection was 78 transitive active single sentences, 122 intransitive active single sentences, and 4 passive single sentences.  Keywords: tagmemics, short story

Abstract

AbstractThe Dialect of Ketapang Malay is one of the regional languages in West Kalimantan, precisely in Matan Hilir Subdistrict, Ketapang District. BMDK is used to communicate in daily life and in official events, in which it is used in traditional cases, traditional ceremonies, and preservation of regional culture in the form of poetry, rhymes, folklore, and songs. This research is related to   linguistics. This research is focused on the semantic field about emotive verbs, which is one of the other verbs. In general the problem in this study is "The emotive verbs", and the particular problem is the clarification of the inventory of emotive verbs and the meaning of emotive verbs in Bahasa Melayu Dialek Ketapang or simplify as BMDK. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data in this study are words that contain emotive BMDK verbs that are used by the Malay community of Ketapang, Kelurahan Tengah Matan Hilir Selatan, Delta Pawan District. The data source in this study is the BMDK which was spoken directly by the informant. Data collection techniques are skilled engaging and interview techniques. Data collection tools used were instruments in the form of questions, pictures, photos and data cards.Based on the results of the data analysis in Chapter IV of the researchers on various problems discussed in this study, it was concluded that BMDK's emotive verbs contained 39 of emotive verbs.Keywords: Emotive Verbs , Ketapang Malay Dialect.

Abstract

Abstract  This study focused  on the scope of the problem in kinship and non-kinship greetings. This study aimd to describe the greetings of kinship based on blood relations, marital relations and non-kinship greetings in Bugis language in Wajok Hilir, Siantan district, Mempawah Regency. The method used in this study was the method The source of data in this study was the text of the informant's conversation. The technique used was the technique of referring to proficient involvement, fishing techniques and documentary studies. The tool used study was a list of questions, record instruments and stationery. The results of the study concluded that there were 32 Bugis language greetings derived from text through informant conversations. The greeting of blood relations was classified as the greeting of the nuclear family and the greeting of the extended family. Greetings of marital relations can be classified as greetings to husbands by wives, wives by husbands, parents of husbands/ wives, relatives of husbands or children, husbands or wives of in-laws, parents-in-law and children of older brothers/ sisters Non-friendship greetings are classified into greetings in the profession, in religion, positions, customs, older people, younger people, peers, unknown people, newborn babies and greetings for people who have died. Keywords: Extended Family,Greetings, Kinship, Nuclear family, Social Relations

Abstract

Abstract.The research was to avoid the readers’ misunderstanding about speech acts of the novel. The research problem was about how the politeness maxim in the novel Dear Nathan by Erisca Febriani. The aim of this research was to describe the politeness maxim in the novel Dear Nathan by Erisca Febriani.This research was qualitative study with descriptive method. The technique in collecting data was documenter study with Speaking and context analysis. The data in this research were a dialog that in conformity with Politeness Maxim and a dialog with Politeness Maxim deviation. The data resource was the novel Dear Nathan by Erisca Febriani. The research implementation was associated with Indonesia language and literature learning that foundon 2013 Curriculum development in the first semester of X grade students of Senior Highschool. Basic Competence 3.11 where about analysing content, structure (orientation, submission, offer, agreement, closing) and the language of negotiation text. Based on the data analysis, it could be concluded that the utterances which in conformity with Politeness Maxim were more dominant than politeness principle deviation. Utterances that obey polite principle were 98 utterances. Utterances that deviate Politeness principle were 20 utterances. Keywords: maxim, novel, politeness, speech act
